Back in 1996 the directorial duo dubbed the Coen Brothers (The Big Lebowski, No Country For Old Men, True Grit) brought us a little movie called Fargo, and the world was never the same. Frances McDormand, Steve Buscemi and William H. Macy starred in the film that was based on an amazing but tragic true story that I’m still trying to make sense of in 2012. I love the movie and am so excited to learn that the Coen Brothers are teaming up with a with one of the writers from Bones to bring a television adaptation of Fargo to FX. That Minnesota accent just won’t quit! Click inside for more!
Hmmm… methinks Karlie Kloss is trying to one-up Rashida Jones on the sexy! I’m still not over that Flaunt photo shoot we saw last week featuring Rashida, but now something new and crazy and sexy and NSFW has entered the building. It’s Karlie Kloss… and she is not effing around in this shoot for Numéro magazine. Karlie (who we recently saw in a brilliant haute-couture spread for W magazine) stuns in the October issue, rocking hella latex, leather, fierce stilettos, peplum skirts, and fur coats. And with all this on, she still manages to bare plenty skin in most of the pics, lol. The dominatrix look has obviously been done before, but Karlie (along with photographer Greg Kadel and stylist Elizabeth Sulcer) is bringing it back with a fiery vengeance. Peep the gallery for more.
Oh, and ummm… all hail Karlie. Seriously.
It has been over 7 months since the world tragically lost Whitney Houston and, sadly, many of us are still not over the loss. As you may know, Whitney‘s mother Cissy Houston is writing a book about her late daughter and the Grammy Museum here in LA devoted an entire exhibit to Whitney. But it’s her music that will stand as the most effective tribute to her memory. On November 13, RCA Records is releasing a new Greatest Hits collection titled I Will Always Love You: The Best of Whitney Houston that will collect, for the first time ever, many of Whitney‘s biggest and best loved hits on one disc. Yesterday involved a lot of running around for me. I have, like, a billion things going on this week as I prepare for Tam and Rob’s wedding this weekend … but here at home, I gots lots of stuff to take care of as well. I set aside yesterday for shopping because I had to decide what I’m wearing for the big day. Of the 8 weddings this year, Tam and Rob’s is the most laid back … so a suit is not required … but still, I want to look put together and stylish. I think I found a great outfit both for the night before party and the wedding day. More »

On Monday night, Madonna performed a concert in Washington DC and addressed the assembled crowd with an impassioned endorsement of the reelection of President Obama. In her speech, Madonna referred to Obama as a “Black Muslim” which set off a firestorm of discussion over Madonna‘s erroneous statement. Many people chided her for her lack of intelligence, others criticized her for spreading false information. In response to the criticism, Madonna has issued a statement revealing that her “Black Muslim” comment was meant to be ironic. According to Madge, she knows that Obama is not a Muslim and was using irony on the misinformed people who do believe that he is Muslim. Last week Christina Aguilera gave us a short teaser for her forthcoming new music video for her new single Your Body and today she gives us another video tease. Xtina promises that the full music video will be released “in a few days” and so, to tide us over, she releases this second teaser clip. This new teaser shows us a bit of interaction with her hottie male video co-star. I have to say, I’m really ready already to see the video in full :D
When last we checked in with Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only begotten child of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, we learned that BK got herself a tattoo in memory of her mom. Today we learn that Bobbi Kris and her boyfriend Nick Gordon were involved in a pretty serious-looking car accident that left their car a wreck but, thankfully, resulted in no serious injuries. TMZ managed to procure a photo of the damaged car and has some deets about what reportedly went down. More »
Last week, we learned that Rihanna was planning the release this week of her new single Diamonds, the first from her as-yet-untitled 7th album (due out by year’s end). Earlier this week, we got our first look at the cover artwork for Diamonds. Today, we get to hear the song in full. Diamonds premiered on the radio at 8AM ET today and is now available for purchase on iTunes. For me, the song is only just alright. I find the chorus a bit too repetitive and there is something off about her vocals (something in the production makes her vocals sound robotic to me). I don’t hate this song but I’m not wowed either. Take a listen, lemme know what you think. Is it a hit?
