Olympic Diver Tom Daley Celebrated His Birthday In Mexico

A couple of weeks ago we got to see photos of British Olympic diver Tom Daley doing a bit of, er, diving in Florida. I must admit, because the lad was wet and mostly nekkid, the post was bit gratuitous. But, in my defense, Tom Daley is usually wet and oftentimes mostly nekkid so whatta ya gonna do? Case in point, Daley made his way down to Mexico to celebrate his birthday this week and wouldn’t you know it, the guy was mostly nekkid … again. Watch: J.J. Abrams Shares A Gratuitous Video Of Benedict Cumberbatch Showering In ‘Star Trek: Into Darkness’

Star Trek: Into Darkness was released in theaters last week and altho the movie has been getting a mostly positive response from viewers, not everyone is pleased with the film. One of the criticisms of Into Darkness falls squarely on the shoulders of director J.J. Abrams for choosing to include a gratuitous shot of actress Alice Eve (who plays a brilliant scientist in the film) in her underwear. To make up for this supposed infraction, Abrams shared on Conan last night a gratuitous “deleted” scene of actor Benedict Cumberbatch (who plays the film’s villain) in the shower. I’d say that the release of this scene makes up for his crime, don’t you? Click the embed above to see what all the fuss is about :D

So … you’re gonna hafta indulge a bit of gratuitousness in this post but … when I came upon these new photos of British Olympic diver Tom Daley doing his thing at a training facility in Fort Lauderdale, FL yesterday … well … I simply had to share the wealthy. Altho I’m not a big sports person, there are some sports that catch my eye from time to time. I become a hockey fan when my beloved Detroit Red Wings make the playoffs, I become a baseball fan anytime I go to the ball park (either here in LA, at home in Detroit or on vacay in NY) and I’ll be a soccer fan as long as David Beckham still plays professionally. Tom Daley had made me a bit of a diving fan because, well, it’s a fun sport to watch. Click thru the gallery to see Daley in action as he practices his diving skills. I think these photos might make you a bit of a diving fan as well ;)

Olympic gold medal swimmer Ryan Lochte continues to do everything he can to promote the forthcoming debut of his E! reality TV series What Would Ryan Lochte Do? and that means more interviews and more photoshoots. The bad news is that, sigh, Ryan has to actually speak words when he gives an interview so … yeah. The good news is that every photoshoot is an opportunity for Ryan to get nekkid … or wet. Last month we got to see Michael Douglas on the cover of Entertainment Weekly magazine in character as Liberace as he will appear in the upcoming biopic TV movie Behind the Candelabra on HBO next month. Today we get to see the just-released new trailer for the film and … boy, is there a lot to see. Matt Damon stars alongside Douglas in this film and as you can see in the embed above, he plays young lover Scott Thorson to the very flamboyant Liberace. If you pay careful attention, you can see Damon rocking a very skimpy and very wet pair of bikini swimwear. As you may recall we got to see a couple of new photos of David Beckham modeling some new pieces from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection from David Beckham Bodywear by H&M. Today we get to see a NEW SHORT FILM that was directed by Guy Ritchie and features a very cheeky Becks running all over LA in his underwear. As you might guess, it’s a terribly effective way to market his clothing line. Not only is the video sexy but it’s also incredibly funny and smart. Mario Lopez and his Extra! co-anchor Maria Menunous like to bet on Super Bowl games. Last year, Mario won and Maria lost … so she had to go bikini-clad in Times Square in chilly NYC. This year, Mario lost so he had to go bikini-clad here in warm LA.
