You know how fictional character Dexter Morgan has a nice, good guy face that he shows to the public but deep down he’s really a brutal killer with an insatiable thirst for the blood of the guilty? Yeah, well apparently Barbie (the doll) has that same blood-thirst … at least, according to photographer Mariel Clayton. Clayton has photographed a series of scenes that feature Barbie doing things that you’re prolly not used to seeing her do. Be warned, some of the images are disturbing … but, IMHO, they’re also extremely interesting. More »

First, I must preface this entire post by saying that I LOVE Natalie Portman, she is my pick as the Best Actress at all the awards shows this season and I couldn’t be happier for all the success — both personal and professional — that she is enjoying these days. That being said, dear sweet Natalie (bless her soul) has one of THE most awkward and cringe-worthy laughs that I have had the misfortune to bear witness to on national television. During her acceptance speech last night at the 2011 Golden Globe Awards, Natalie tried to make a joke about how her fiancée wants to have sex with her (which is obvious due to the fact that she is pregs with his baby) and laughed so awkwardly, so terrifyingly at her own joke that it still haunts me today. Watch: Ricky Gervais Brilliantly Skewers Hollywood As Host Of The Golden Globe Awards

British comedian Ricky Gervais served as host of the 2011 Golden Globe Awards here in Hollywood, CA last night and during his opening monologue to kick off the show he expertly, brilliantly and unapologetically skewered as many celebs in the audience as possible with joke after joke after joke. He managed to get a few uncomfortable laughs from the audience but it was his Scientology joke that garnered the most groans. For me, Gervais made the Golden Globe Awards worth watching … and he had me in stitches the entire night. His opening monologue is an absolute must see. More »

Apple CEO Steve Jobs Takes Another Medical Leave Of Absence

His Second Medical Leave in 2 Years

Two years ago, Apple CEO Steve Jobs shocked the tech world by announcing that he would be taking a medical leave of absence from his duties at Apple and ended up staying away from the company for 6 months before returning to the job looking much skinnier than he did before (due to a liver transplant). Since his return, Jobs has been operating as CEO as usual, seemingly back to his old self. Today, Jobs has announced that he will be taking another medical leave of absence by issuing a statement that gives no information at all as to why the leave is necessary. More »

New American Idol judge and former pop superstar Jennifer Lopez has got some new tunes for us to listen to this fine weekend. J. Lo has recorded a cover of the classic song Venus (Shocking Blue, Bananarama) that will be used in a commercial for the Gillette company (who sell the Venus women’s razor). Additionally, a new song titled On the Floor (featuring Pitbull) has leaked its way to the Internets that gives us a taste of what her new album Love? will sound like. To be honest, both songs give me reasons to be very concerned. More »

Michael Lohan Saves A Dog From A Burning Building

It turns out that Michael Lohan is actually good for something. Last night, his apartment complex caught fire and Lohan‘s inner hero awoke with enough strength to break thru a glass case — with his bare hands — to gain access to a fire extinguisher! AND, he saved his dog from the deadly flames!! Unsurprisingly, Lohan made himself available to TMZ cameras for interviews as the building smoldered behind him but … yeah, can you believe he actually did something semi-marginally heroic? More »

‘Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark’ Pushes Back Its Broadway Opening ANOTHER MONTH

You’re not gonna believe this, or mebbe you will, but producers for the embattled Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark have announced that the show’s official opening night has been pushed back AGAIN another month! In mid-December we learned that the show’s delayed January opening (pushed back from December) would be pushed back to February … today, we learn that the opening has been pushed back again to March (apparently because the show needs to be tweaked and a new ending has to be tested). The New York Daily News published a spirited article about this latest delay and it is DEFFO worth reading. More »

Earlier this month we learned that Michael Lohan commissioned a song to be written for his then-rehabbing daughter Lindsay Lohan as a tribute to her strength, or something like that. Lohan teamed up with former All-4-One singer Delious Kennedy for a song titled My Rose. Today we get to hear a short preview of the track … and I must warn you, it’s not pretty … at all. More »

Lo has reportedly reached out to hottie Inception star Tom Hardy for a little guidance because, apparently, the two are friends. HMMM. Could this mean that we will be seeing L. On Thursday we learned that Courtney Love was being sued for defamation based on comments she made about a fashion designer on her official Twitter account (the case is set to go to court on January 18).
