Super Exciting Casting News
Ridley Scott’s new film, The Counselor, is causing a stir about it’s casting. Some pretty amazing actors are in talks with them about coming on board, and if they do we could be looking at one amazing film. A couple of week ago there were rumors going around that Javier Bardem, Jeremy Renner and Brad Pitt were all interested in playing the male lead character, the villain of the story. News today is that Javier and Jeremy are both having preliminary conversations with producers about the part and Brad is out of the picture. There is also talk going around that Natalie Portman is in negotiations for the female lead. Woohoo! More »

Last week we got to read the first (and very favorable) review of Madonna‘s new album M.D.N.A. and today we get to hear what US magazine Billboard has to say. Right off the bat, you should know that Billboard really seems to love the album. They give a track by track review of the entire album (including the bonus tracks included on the deluxe version of M.D.N.A.) so there is a lot to read below … but it’s worth it Madonna fans. She's Been Offered $10 Million to Become a Judge!!!
Holy Shizz!!! OMFG OMFG OMFG!!! Remember last month when we heard a RUMOR that our dear Britney Spears was being courted by Simon Cowell to become a judge on the next season of The X Factor? Well, at the time it seemed like just that … a rumor. Today we learn that the rumor is very close to becoming a reality. Britney has been offered a $10 million dollar contract to judge the second season of The X Factor and it seems VERY LIKELY that she will take the deal and JOIN THE SHOW! I CAN’T EVEN … if she truly does join the show (again, it looks VERY LIKELY THAT SHE WILL) then you can BET YOUR ASS that ratings will go thru the roof for The X Factor!!! More »

Great Scott, film fans!
Last month we learned that the Mattel toy company announced the forthcoming release of a prop replica of the pink hoverboard that was featured in Back to the Future II and today we learn that Mattel is taking pre-orders NOW for the HOVERBOARD! You may recall that last year, Nike released the “futuristic” Nike Air Mag shoes that Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) wore in Back to the Future II and now we have access to his hoverboard as well. It has been 11 years since R&B/pop singer Aaliyah was killed in a tragic airplane accident but today we learn that she is about to release an album of new material. A collection of unreleased songs recorded by Aaliyah before her death is being complied for release, according to producer Jeffrey J. Dub Walker. Walker worked with Aaliyah on her self-titled 2001 album and is confirming now that the album will be released soon. The Party Prince Busts a Move
Last month we learned that Prince William made his way to the Falklands Islands to help keep the peace during the 30th anniversary celebrations of the Falklands War. Today we learn that his younger brother Prince Harry is also abroad on official duty … but Harry‘s task looks like much more fun. Prince Harry is touring Central America and the Caribbean on a Diamond Jubilee tour in celebration of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II‘s 60th year as reigning monarch of the United Kingdom. Maryland Becomes the 8th US State to Legalize Gay Marriage
Last month the State of Washington became the 7th State in the US to legalize same-sex marriage after Governor Christine Gregoire signed that State’s bill into law. Just moments ago, Maryland became the 8th State in the US to legalize same-sex marriage in the US. Governor Martin O’Malley made good on his promise to sign Maryland’s just-passed bill into law this afternoon. This is another glorious day for the advancement of equal rights in our country … a great day, indeed, for the United States of America. More »
