We are not worthy/ready
I’m not even proud to admit this, but I basically never buy music anymore. Why haven’t I bought Azealia Banks‘ Broke with Expensive Taste yet? Nicki Minaj‘s Pink Print? What am I doing with my life?! Watching a lot of movies… and The Gilmore Girls, apparently. But there are a few albums that I know I will purchase, automatically, without even thinking—Kendrick Lamar‘s is definitely one of them. For many reasons. So I’m SO EFFING EXCITED to learn that his sophomore effort is mere DAYS away! Click inside for more!

In the best way...
Aghhhhh. I just finished watching last night’s The Good Wife, and it was so appropriately titled. “Dark Money,” indeed. I’m about to write my review for Paste Magazine, but I just had to talk it up a bit on here. I know I’ve converted a few of you recently, but if you’re still not watching, OMG please get your life in order. If you are watching any TV show at all, this needs to be one of them. Last night we saw Alicia do some things we NEVER, ever expected her to do and it was incredible. And dark. And sad. And made for great TV. As is usually the case with this show. It's Officially Yeezy Season!
Yesterday, I finally, finally watched Kanye West’s performance of All Day at the Brit Awards. It made me SO incredibly happy. It very much reminded me of a live rap concert—way too many people on stage, a sea of black, and a lot of hoodies. Me likey. And like a lot of Kanye West fans, it got me excited for a new album from Yeezus. And the new album is definitely coming, because Kanye West shared a few important details on Twitter last night. One of Neil Patrick Harris‘s better (and most memorable) bits during the Academy Awards last night was when he spoofed Birdman and appeared on stage, in front of billions of people, wearing only his tighty-whitey underwear. And, naturally, almost as soon as he appeared on stage in his skivvies, eagle-eyed folks decided to take a closer look at Neil‘s assets. Appearing on Live with Kelly & Michael earlier today, NPH talked about this part of the Oscars telecast last night and responded to the question about whether or not his package was enhanced inside his undies. According to Neil himself, his bulge was unpadded … but … More »
Spider-Man will likely appear in the next Captain America movie !!!
Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures reached a deal this week and formally announced the news late yesterday that the two movie studios will work together to incorporate the iconic comic book character Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie franchise. Essentially, what this means is that Spider-Man will be included in future Marvel Comics movies, likely starting with Captain America: Civil War which is due out in 2016. Fans of these Marvel characters know that Spider-Man is a member of The Avengers but because of the movie licensing deal that gives movie ownership of Spider-Man to Sony Pictures, he has been unable to be used as a character in the Marvel Studios films … until now. Sony didn’t sell/give over the Spider-Man movie rights to Marvel but they have reached a collaborative deal where the Marvel characters can be shared between the studios. Folks, this is absolutely the best comic book movie news in years! More »
Also, there were some great acceptance speeches
One reason I scramble to see a bunch of movies at the end of the year is so that I can try to make sense of awards season. I still haven’t seen some of the big winners from last night, and many of the nominees, but I was happy to see that some personal favorites well-deserved recognition. Boyhood and Transparent were two productions that moved me in big ways, so congrats to them, and to all of the winners! Also, I think Showtime’s The Affair really came through and surprised everyone. Oh yes, that is DEFINITELY (probably) a Baby Bump!!!!
I’m over here trying to catch up on the Golden Globe Awards and BOOOOOM. Everything has been shut down, whilst we attempt to confirm whether or not THIS is the announcement we’ve all been waiting for since the dawn of Blue Ivy Carter (who just turned three!). You guys. I’m an EXPERT on baby bumps photos, and it would appear that this is a baby bump photo—one that’s getting more likes and tags than probably any other photo this year. Click inside for more!!!
