"Been saved again by the garbage truck"
Earlier today we got to hear a brilliant cover of Whitney Houston‘s song It’s Not Right, But It’s Okay by the British band Chvrches and right now we get to hear another brilliant cover. A guy who goes by the name Twin Shadow has been recording cover songs including the classic Tori Amos song Silent All These Years. I’ve heard a few covers of this song over the years but none by men (primarily because of the female-ness of the lyrical content). While no one can ever do the song justice like Tori can, I have to give it up to Twin Shadow for putting a very different spin on the song … giving it a strange new life. I hope you Amos fans will give it a listen and let me know what you think. I’m really digging this cover of Tori‘s song, are you?

Back in July, attendees of San Diego Comic-Con were able to watch a short teaser video for the forthcoming sequel film The Avengers: Age of Ultron which, until now, was only enjoyed by a small number of folks. But this week, the teaser was discovered on a mobile phone app that was released in support of Iron Man 3 and, therefore, made its way online. The Jarvis app (which mimics the talking computer utilized by Tony Stark in the Iron Man movies) has hidden in its program this teaser clip from Comic-Con. You can download the app and watch it on your phone or you can just click the embed above. Because it’s a teaser, we don’t get to see much but … it’s an effective video in terms of generating excitement for the movie. Check it out, see what you think.
From her Upcoming NEW Album
British singer/songwriter Charli XCX released her debut album True Romance back in April but she’s already looking forward to the release of her next album. Even tho her current album is only a few months old, Charli has released a music video for the song SuperLove, which will appear on her upcoming new album. Honestly, I’m a big fan of her current album (and her mastery of goth-pop) so I’m not sure why she’s ready to move on to album #2 already but … I can’t say that I’m complaining about the release of more music. Click the embed above to watch the video for SuperLove. It was filmed in the Robot Restaurant in Tokyo, Japan … one of the places HIGH on my must-visit list. Any Charli fans out there? Are you loving this new song or what?

Coldplay Arcade Fire
At the start of this month we learned that former Saturday Night Live castmember Tina Fey was chosen to host the season premiere of the show when SNL returns with all new eps this weekend. Today we get to see the promo videos released by NBC to promote the ep … and thankfully, they’re quite funny. Tina and this week’s musical guest Arcade Fire offer up funny little jokes in the promo video embedded above. Make sure you watch to the end … the last joke is the funniest, I think :) Saturday Night Live returns for it’s 39th season tomorrow night.
That-Ish-Cray Of The Day
Okay, here we go. Kanye West is officially over Jimmy Kimmel, and ish is getting real. Last night I read the tweets that Yeezy sent out to Jimmy Kimmel about this parody skit Kimmel put on his show (making fun of Kanye’s recent interview) and I did a lot of eye-rolling. Y’all know I love me some Kanye– like, to a fault– but even I felt like he was being over-the-top. I’m all about celebrities having a sense of humor and it just sounded like Kanye didn’t have one, at all. However, I hadn’t watched the parody video yet and now that I’ve seen it… and read this article on Slate… Sigh. Sorry, y’all. I’m back on Team Kanye, lol! And I’m not sorry! Click inside to see how it all went down.

Also Hints At Possible JT/Timbaland/Pharrell Mash-Up
Justin Timberlake has been out promoting his forthcoming album The 20/20 Experience (2 of 2), and he stopped by KissFMUK to chat with the DJs. In a clip from the above interview he talks about working on an upcoming Pharrell solo album (awesome), and also kinda, sorta hints at a collaboration between himself Timbaland and Pharrell (awesomer). Oh, and– after all that beef (LOL)– he’d love to work with Kanye West. Peep the audio above for more! I hear a lot of dopeness in the future.
Britney Also Shares a Fab New 'Work Bitch' Photo
Yesterday Britney Spears shared a teaser photo from the set of the as-yet-unreleased music video for her new single Work Bitch but, apparently, one tease just wasn’t enough. Britney then authorized the release of a new, very sexy photo from the video … as well as a short snippet of the music video itself. We still do not know when the music video for Work Bitch will be released but from the look of the photo and short video below, it’s going to be an amazingly HAWT video when it hits the Internets. Click below to see what our dear Britney Spears has in store for us. More »

"I'm having a good time / Cuz I'm having a good time"
Back in July we learned that Paris Hilton filmed a music video for her comeback single Good Time, which is due out next week on October 1. Today, courtesy of Paris‘s official Instagram profile, we get a sneak peek at the video which will be released in conjunction with her single next week. The short 16 second clip features guest appearances by Lil’ Wayne and Birdman because, as you may remember, Hilton is signed to Cash Money Records. Check out the video embedded above and get your first taste at a new era of Paris Hilton music.

I think we’ve all, at a certain point, encountered hashtag fatigue. You know what I’m talking about– when you’re looking at a great photo on Instagram and you’re just about to “Like” it, but then you see that the person lit’rally has 72 hashtags, and only 3 of them were completely necessary… LMAO. Well, Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon are here to help! Check out their hilarious skit/PSA (which recently aired on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon) about hashtag abuse. This is a real issue y’all. We need to come together and stop the madness.
