So much amazing
Last night on the online-only aftershow of the Bravo TV late night talk show Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen officiated a same-sex wedding for a very cute couple LIVE for the whole world to see. I watch WWHL as it airs on Bravo but I don’t ever log on to watch the aftershow … so sadly, I missed seeing this live last night. Thankfully, Bravo has shared the video so that we can watch video of Daniel Cunningham and Ricardo Santiago gettin’ hitched right here, right now … and as many times as we like to our hearts’ content. Watch the video embedded above to see how adorable this little wedding ceremony turned out. Even tho there were a few jokes tossed in, the whole ceremony was really heartfelt and very very sweet. Congrats Daniel and Ricardo! Here’s to a very long, healthy and happy life together :)
The former 'American Idol' wants your VOTE again
For a few weeks now, there have been rumors that American Idol runner-up Clay Aiken was considering a run for the US Congress in his home state of North Carolina and today … he made those rumors official. Aiken has formally thrown his hat in the ring in a bid for the congressional seat in North Carolina’s 2nd District. To make his announcement, Clay released a 4+ minute video, embedded above, which explains his desire for political office. Honestly, the video is a bit sparse, IMHO, but I think that is the thing he is going for … just a regular guy wanting to serve the people of his district in Congress. Watch the video above and see what you think of Clay Aiken as a politician. He has a long way to go to win a seat in Congress. First he must go thru a primary against fellow Democrats then he has to take on the incumbent Republican Renee Ellmers. Hopefully, Aiken‘s rise to political power will be more successful than his bid to become an American Idol. Hmm. Would YOU vote for Clay Aiken for Congress?

Science and Religion
Last night, at the Creation Museum in Petersburg, KY, scientist Bill Nye participated in a debate with Christian author Ken Ham in a battle of wits arguing Evolution vs. Creationism. I heard that this Creation Debate was going to be live streamed online and, thankfully, remembered to tune in to watch it as it happened live last night. Personally, I believe in evolution and was really impressed with how well Nye handled himself and with the way he presented the case for evolution. I must admit, tho, that I was also impressed with Ham‘s ability to argue for creationism as well. While I don’t agree with his arguments, I can appreciate how well-thought out they are and how adeptly he presented his beliefs. In the end, I don’t think the debate changed anyone’s mind on the matter. Folks who believe in evolution likely saw Nye as the winner, creationists likely saw Ham as the winner … but I think the debate is definitely worth watching. Click above to watch the full 2+ hour debate (which starts at the 13:13 mark of the embedded video) … which is long, I know, but I’m telling you, it’s worth watching if you have the time.

Only The Best
Many folks, like myself, have a love/hate relationship with the Michael Bay Transformers movies. Many of us LOVE the computer animated Transformers in the movies but we hate the living breathing actors in the movies (as well as the awful writing, tbh). And so, an industrious fan put together a video that features all of the transformations from all of the Transformers movies where the robots change into vehicles and vice versa. At last, we can watch only the best parts of the Transformers movies without having to deal with the worst parts. Brilliant. Click above to watch this video and be reminded of how cool the Transformers can really be.

Remember back in October when we learned that Zac Efron would be baring his bum in his new movie titled That Awkward Moment? Well, the movie has been released in theaters for some time now and what I’m hearing is that the movie isn’t really all that good. I don’t think anyone was expecting grand things from this flick but I know I, at least, was hoping it would be worth checking out. It turns out that the bum-baring clip that was featured in the trailer we saw last year has made its way online, which you can watch above in all it’s NSFW glory. From what I understand, this is the part of the movie worth seeing so … enjoy watching while you can. I may yet head out to see That Awkward Moment in theaters if only to see this scene on the big screen. That has to be worth the price of admission, right?
Yep, more viewers than Beyoncé, Madonna, Prince, etc.
110.8 million people tuned in to watch Beyoncé perform the halftime show during Super Bowl XLVII, in 2012 a then record-setting 114 million people tuned in to watch Madonna perform the halftime show during Super Bowl XLVI … today we learn that Bruno Mars, who performed during Super Bowl XLVIII a couple of days ago, now holds the record for the most-watched Super Bowl halftime show EVER! A new record-setting 115.3 million people tuned in to watch Bruno (and special guests Red Hot Chili Peppers) perform on Sunday during the big game … which makes Bruno the new KING of the Super Bowl halftime show. So. Damn. Good.
Remember when Trent Reznor blasted Grammy producers for cutting off the Nine Inch Nails finale performance with Lindsey Buckingham, Queens of the Stone Age and Dave Grohl during the Grammy Awards last weekend? Well, right now we get to watch unedited, unaired rehearsal footage of the finale performance as it SHOULD HAVE aired during the telecast. During full dress rehearsals for the show, NIN et al. did a run thru of their performance (complete with LL Cool J intro) and you can watch that performance in full above. This is a great video, I hope you enjoy it. This is pretty much what we were supposed to see during the Grammy Awards last weekend. I guess better late than never.
I CANNOT HATE THIS MOVIE NOW!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, so I know I posted the Super Bowl trailer for the upcoming sequel film Transformers: Age Of Extinction yesterday but it turned out SO MUCH BETTER than I EVER DREAMED it would look that I HAVE to post it again. Folks, Optimus Prime rides the Dinobot leader Grimlock while he wields a big ass sword! It’s basically every boy who ever played with Transformers as a kid has EVER DREAMED OF. Plus, the film was partially shot in Detroit, MI so … OMG, I have to love this movie. Let’s kinda not pay attention to the lame acting by the actors in this trailer and just marvel at ALL OF THE ROBOTS! I really really do not like Michael Bay films but … ye gods, I think I’m going to LOVE the HELL out of this movie. I mean, right?!
