'Inside Llewyn Davis' Looks AWESOME
Y’all. I don’t know what I was expecting from this trailer… but… I was not ready! I’ve gone on about my lurve for the Coen Brothers before, and I was so crazy, excited to learn that their new film had released it’s first trailer. Inside Llewyn Davis stars the amazingness that is Carey Mulligan, along with Oscar Isaac (who was also in Drive), and John Goodman. The movie doesn’t even have U.S. distribution yet, or a release date but someone’s def picking this up in the next 10-15 minutes. Peep the trailer to get your life changed! And to hear Bob Dylan‘s Farewell, which really makes for the perfect background song to this video.
P.S. Justin Timberlake just barely makes the trailer, but he’s playing Carey Mulligan‘s husband (another musician). Haters can hate, but I like JT‘s acting and I can’t believe he was lit’rally making new music and making a movie at the same damn time!

The Fauxhawk Is DUNZO
Earlier this month we got to see new promo images of Shakira and Usher as the new judges on the fourth season of The Voice, so we know Ursher‘s got some things lined up this year. But that still doesn’t quite explain this new video clip that the singer released. In it, Ursher Baby shaves his as-of-late, signature fauxhawk (I’m not gonna lie, that kinda got me amped), and, as classical music plays in the background, silently declares that some sort of transformation is about to pop off. Some folks are hoping this transformation will entail a return to his R&B roots. I have no clue what’s about to go down; so far 2013 has been full of so many music-related surprises (i.e. Justin Timberlake and Destiny’s Child), I wouldn’t be surprised if Usher‘s planning some kind of takeover as well.
PITNBR blaqfury, any theories?
Just About 2 More WEEKS!!!
Earlier this month we got to see a promo video for the forthcoming second half of The Walking Dead season 3. Today we get to see an all-new promo video that features NEW footage from the show. With only 2 weeks left until new eps of The Walking Dead return, I know fans are really itchin’ to get back to the zombie action. This new promo video should do much to sate that thirst a bit. A war is a’brewin’ … it won’t be long now. The Walking Dead returns to AMC on February 10.

Opening April 19
At the start of the month we learned that the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic titled jOBS, starring Ashton Kutcher as the man himself, is set for release in April. Today we learn that the film will open on April 19 AND we get our first look at the first footage from the film. Thus far we’ve only seen photos of Kutcher as Jobs, now at last we get to see him in action. Check out the embed above and see what you think. Yes, it’s a short clip but … scathing judgments have been made with much less so … what do y’all think?

'Throwback Thursdays,' Baby Girl Style
Last week we had our first installment of Throwback Thursdays, and it was a total blast. We celebrated the return of Destiny’s Child with some of their biggest hits, and a few days later we got some new Kelly Rowland music. We also recently got new music from Aaliyah, and I was reminded of a post I’d planned to write ages ago when we first started hearing rumors (conflicting and otherwise) about the new Aaliyah project. When we counted down some of Mariah Carey’s greatest hip-hop hits, I asked PITNBR nicole (who is, like, a super-fan to no end) to help me out with a similar post for Aaliyah. Like most fans of her music, I love hearing the previously unreleased songs, and I even liked that track with Drake, but I love, love, love having an excuse to go back and listen to the throwback jams. And when Solange covered that Nicole Wray song earlier this week I said it was def time to re-live and re-lurve the days when Timbaland, Missy Elliot, and Aaliyah ruled the world, so let’s get to it! Just the other day Big Boi jumped on Frank Ocean‘s Pink Matter, igniting rumors of an Outkast reunion (which Andre 3000 quickly shot down). I was so psyched to hear what was, technically, new music from Frank because I luuuurve him and Channel Orange is everything. Plus, Frank‘s up for six Grammy Awards, so it’s nice to see that the he’s continuing to get some much-deserved buzz. Now, for the best news ever: Super Rich Kids (featuring Earl Sweatshirt) has been confirmed as Frank‘s next single! This one is absolutely one of my fave songs on Channel Orange so I’m pretty pumped. No, This Really Is The Best News Ever
Sigh. It’s a good day for people who like good, quality, anything. Earlier we got to check out that sweet, new lyric video for Justin Timberlake‘s Suit & Tie, and we now have confirmation that one of my favorite television shows in the history of television shows is coming to the big screen! Agh! The Bored To Death movie that we heard about a while back is totally, absolutely, officially going down! Click inside for more!

And Announces His Album Release Date!!!
Okay. Y’all are not ready for this, lol! When Justin Timberlake first announced his return to music with a short video, I’ll never forget PITNBR Wynter writing Yes! Sorry, Bieber, big brother is coming home. LOL! She was so right! We got to hear his first new single Suit & Tie shortly thereafter and while I did like the song, I didn’t love it. Except for the Chopped & Screwed parts. Looooved those, lol. Anyway, JT just released a swanky new lyric video for the song and I absolutely love it. In fact, I’d call this one of those rare occasions when the visuals actually enhance the track. It’s all very grown and sexy… and I didn’t even realized I’d been missing the grown and sexy movement! LMAO, no really. I love this. And I love all the shouts-out to Tom Ford, lol. Peep the video for more! And don’t blink at the 5:18 mark, or you’ll miss the release date announcement (hint: the words Coming Soon flash to March 19th for, like, a millisecond). And click inside for more JT news!
