Back in August we learned that Arsenio Hall is making a return to late night TV next year with the revival of The Arsenio Hall Show. Today we get to see the first video promo released for the show and as you can see above, Arsenio looks very happy to be back in the Dawg Pound! I’m really looking forward to the return of The Arsenio Hall Show, even if we have to wait until next Summer to see it.

Cudi Goes Dolo In The Streets
Last month KiD Cudi released the super-fun, super-trippy video for Just What I Am, and I was really into it. That track was easily one of my faves from this year, and it’s so cool to see that Cudi‘s already released another video. The video for King Wizard has a similar style to Just What I Am (with its grainy imagery and the gold frame), but the subject matter of the song is a little different. Just What I Am was a bit more reflective, while King Wizard has a braggadocious, stuntin’ feel– real arrogant, but still playful. What can I say– it’s a rap song! The video is very simplistic, but I’m really getting excited for Cudi‘s new album. Peep the video for more!
Indicud is expected to drop early next year and will feature artists like Kendrick Lamar, Common, and Kanye West.

AK's Wiggin' Out
The incomparable Alicia Keys has given us lots of new jams with the release of her album Girl On Fire. Recently we got to hear an awesome track she did with Maxwell (although the audio keeps getting removed), and now we have a new video for Brand New Me. I’m still waiting to hear that Frank Ocean collabo, but this will definitely hold me over. The video has a simple premise, with AK as the central focus. At first I wasn’t really feelin’ it, but when Alicia got amped up and threw off the [Tina Turner-esque] wig in front of the mirrors… well… I was kind of into it. Plus she looks amazing! Peep the video for more and check out the sweet lyrics to Brand New Me over at DirectLyrics. Are you loving the new visuals from Alicia?
It’s been a big year for Rebel Wilson and it looks like 2013 is only going to bring bigger and better things for the Aussie comedian. The Pitch Perfect star has just been announced as the host for the 2013 MTV Movie Awards, and I am sooo pumped! After that Samuel L. Jackson/Anne Hathaway Funny Or Die video, I’m kind of looking forward to the awards show– there’s nothing like a good laugh over your fave movies. Last year’s awards were hosted by Russell Brand and while he’s all fine and good… I cannot wait to see what happens when Rebel takes the stage. Peep the promo video above! Rebel’s getting tortured by her Bridesmaids costar Matt Lucas… and it’s hilarious. Are you excited for this, or what?
The 2013 MTV Movie Awards air Sunday, April 14.

Total Eclipse of the Hearts
Back in September we learned that Shakira and Usher would be replacing Christina Aguilera and Cee-Lo Green on the forthcoming fourth season of The Voice next year and today we get our first look at the first video promo for the show that introduces the new judges. Titled The Pickup, returning judges Blake Shelton and Adam Levine pick up Shakira and Usher and take them for a ride. The clip has a very cute musical performance and does a very good job of introducing viewers to the show’s new additions. What do y’all think, Voice fans? Do you like?

They Also Perform 'As Long As You Love Me'
The Backstreet Boys paid a visit to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night and they brought along with them a bit of Xmas cheer … as well as a bit of boy band magic. The Boys performed their new holiday single It’s Christmas Time Again (which we first got to preview last month), which you can watch in the embed above. As you can see, The Roots provided pretty fantastic backup. They also performed their classic hit single As Long As You Love Me, which you can watch in full below. More »
Look. I know trap music isn’t for everyone. Nor is Chopped & Screwed. But Harlem’s own A$AP Rocky just teamed up with Skrillex and I can’t… not… share! The bummer news for A$AP is that his whole damn debut album Long.Live.A$AP just leaked to the interwebs, a whole month before its release date. That sucks. However, I’m really glad we got to hear this new jam. The electronica/dubstep-meets-trap sound is totally doing it for me. Ya’ll know I love me some Frank and I’ve been digging a lot of the new music we’ve heard from artists like Solange and Miguel… but I’ve been waiting for A$AP‘s debut since this summer! Anyway, I have serious plans to sip on something nice this New Year’s Eve and blast this song. After the kids go to sleep, lol. Peep the audio above (before it gets snatched off line)! Your thoughts?
UPDATE: Yeah, it got snatched. You can still listen to the song here!
Did Anne Just Call Samuel A 'Motherf---er'???!! The World Has Turned Upside Down.
Y’all. I can’t stop watching this video. OMG. It’s like the dream!!! Anne Hathaway and Samuel L. Jackson are facing-off in an HBO Funny Or Die sketch promoting their new movies, Les Misérables and Django Unchained (both of which hit theatres Christmas Day). In fact, it’s called a Sad-Off and there’s not a lot I can say. It’s just… priceless. Peep the video for more, don’t stop looking at Anne‘s sweater, and decide amongst yourselves– which is worse/funnier: American slavery or French poverty?
No, but seriously. I legit died for a second when Samuel called Anne “Miss Annie.” LMAO! Happy holidays, ya’ll.
Man. Music is a helluva drug. Baz Lurhmann‘s The Great Gatsby adaptation may have been pushed back, but that just gives us more time to get excited about it all. We learned a while back that music (like that of Kanye West‘s) was a huge part of the filming process on the set of this movie, and we also heard that Prince and Lady Gaga might be writing new music for the soundtrack. The first trailer for The Great Gatsby was released back in May, and just as the music moved that piece, so it moves this one. I know as a former Lit major, I should have more reservations about this adaptation, but I love the movies! And this looks like a friggen MOVIE! Lol. I just mean that the trailer (with all the drama, fashion, and extravagance) is an experience in and of itself, so I’m looking forward to seeing the whole flick. Peep the trailer for more! There’s tons of new footage, more No Church In The Wild, and more Amitabh Bachchan (who PITNBR Ria told us is kind of a big deal). Are you into it?
The Great Gatsby hits theatres May 10, 2013.
