This is what it takes to put on a Madonna concert
We are just days away from the EPIX TV premiere of Madonna‘s MDNA World Tour concert broadcast and the follow-up DVD release but today we get to see some pretty cool behind the scenes footage from the production of the massive live stage performance. The video featured in the embed above was broadcast on Axis TV but my guess is that it may be made available on the eventual DVD release as well. There aren’t any full Madonna performances in the clip but we do get to watch 26 minutes of footage that gives us a very clear understanding of the technical work that went into putting on a show like this. It’s a new video, I hope you enjoy.
Meet This Week's Hot-Person-Who-I-Didn't-Know-I-Was-Into-Until-Recently!
This past weekend I did what lots of folks everywhere did, and went to see the new Superman movie, Man Of Steel. Let me just say that, while I didn’t especially enjoy the film, I did connect with a few aspects of the story. I mentioned in the Movie Dads Who Changed My Life post that I really appreciated the relationship between Pa Kent (Kevin Costner) and Clark Kent (Henry Cavill)… but there was something else I really, really appreciated. Henry Cavill. Who is extremely hot, I was able to determine. I know I’m late; I know Trent‘s been talking about his hawtness for a minute now, but this is a new feeling for me and I need to express it publicly. I mean, I’d seen the trailers and featurettes, I’d seen him getting all buff, but watching him be all angsty and dark and intense for 2 1/2 hours, and then the suit?! Yeah. No. He could get it. In fact, one of my favorite moments of the film was when one of the cops in the town lit’rally just had to take a moment, pause, and tell her superior officer, ‘Sorry. He’s just really hot.’ That’s exactly how I feel! Except I’m not sorry. Peep the gallery so you can be not sorry too!
Oh, and you’re gonna wanna check out the new Henry Cavill: Shirtless Man of Steel workout video inside. Yeah. Enjoy.
The Zombies are Coming
Brad Pitt‘s new film World War Z is set to open in theaters this coming weekend and today Paramount Pictures has released a short clip of footage from the film to promote the upcoming opening weekend. The action featured in the embed above has been featured in various movie trailers for World War Z but this clip gives us an extended look at the scene. There’s been a lot of chatter about WWZ that hasn’t been all that positive in recent weeks and months but the proof, as they say, will be in the pudding when the film opens on Friday. I will be attending an early screening of WWZ tonight and I’m really looking forward to seeing the movie myself so I can form my own opinion. Check out the clip, see what you think. Is World War Z on your list of must see movies this summer?

"People will be surprised with this album. It's really different"
Our dear Britney Spears debuted officially her new single Ooh La La on the On Air with Ryan Seacrest morning show on KIIS FM here in LA just moments ago and while that in and of itself is great news, she also spoke a bit about her upcoming 8th album … and revealed WHEN IT WILL BE RELEASED! The embed above features the final mastered audio of Ooh La La, the lead single from The Smurfs 2 soundtrack due out next month, which doesn’t sound all that different from the leaked “demo” version that hit the Internets in May. Click the embed above to give the song a listen … then click below to learn more about Britney‘s new album from our dear Brit Brit herself. More »
This Movie Looks So Effing Good... I CAN'T!
Martin Scorsese‘s films are known for having some of the most amazing scores ever, and it looks like his new movie The Wolf Of Wall Street will fall right in line. We haven’t heard much about the gilm (although we did see Leonardo DiCaprio on set a while back), but today we have our first look at the trailer and it is so effing exciting! First of all, Kanye West‘s new single Black Skinhead is pulsing through the whole thing and it is the perfect backdrop for this wild story about New York stockbroker Jordan Belfort, author of the best-selling memoir The Wolf of Wall Street. This guy made $49 million in 1996 alone and, apparently, knew how to party. One can’t help but think of Leo‘s most recent film The Great Gatsby with all the lavishness in this trailer, but methinks The Wolf Of Wall Street (which also stars Matthew McConaughey and Jonah Hill) will be a completely different experience. Peep the trailer for more!
The Wolf Of Wall Street hits theatres November 15.
With Timbaland, Pharrell, Swizz Beatz & Rick Rubin! OMG!
Last night if you were watching Game 5 of the NBA Finals you were in for a real treat. Don’t ask me who won, ask me how much I lost my mind when Jay-Z popped up in this Samsung commercial thing with friggen Timbaland, Pharrell, Swizz Beatz and Rick Rubin to announce his new album Magna Carta Holy Grail. Answer: a lot. I lost my mind a lot.The album is coming out July 4, and it will be offered for free to the first million people who download the Magna Carta app, which will be available on the Samsung Galaxy S III, S4 and Galaxy Note phones on June 24. Because if you want Jigga‘s new album, there’s an app for that. I’m so excited that he’s doing this, and it’s also very interesting to watch having just experienced Yeezy season and Kanye West‘s completely different approach to marketing his music. These guys are insane! And with all those geniuses in the studio with Jay I’m expecting great things from the new Magna Carta. Peep the video for more! And go HERE for more info about the album and Samsung partnership.
That-Ish-Cray Of The Day
LMAOOOOOoooooooo! I kid you not, I laughed the entire way through this madness. As I mentioned on my movie Dads post, I saw Man Of Steel this weekend, so you can imagine my delight at seeing this trailer for the inevitable porn parody, Man Of Steel XXX. Seriously– one of the actors is named Ryan Driller. I can’t! Please, watch the video and somebody please tell me how in the hell I’m supposed to, like, be turned on by this. Am I doing it wrong? Let me know.

And 1 Who Didn't...
It’s Father’s Day y’all! Last year we celebrated with a look at back at some of the best movie dads of all time, and this year we’re gonna celebrate some of the new guys. Look– we all have our Daddy issues, and sometimes the best place to work those issues out is at the cinema (just ask Martin Scorsese). In the past year many-a-flick has come out showcasing strong fathers and father figures– and highlighting all of the drama that comes with them, so I’ve picked just a few of the characters that left a major impression on me. Be they good guys or bad guys, movie Dads are usually pretty interesting fellas… kinda like the real-live Dads we all know and lurve. Celebrate Father’s Day 2013 with a look back at some of my personal favorite movie Dads of the past year!
Kanye Promotes his Other Baby
Earlier today we learned that Kanye West‘s baby was born into the world in the wee hours this morning but we cannot forget that Kanye has been hard at work promoting the release of his other baby … his new album Yeezus. Altho Yeezus leaked to the Internets 5 days early, that doesn’t mean that the promo push for the album is ending early. Last night, Kanye debuted a new projected video that features Scott Disick and Joanthan Cheban starring in a parody version of the film American Psycho. You can’t really hear the dialog in the video embedded above but it looks like a pretty faithful recreation of the film. Yeezus promo is still in FULL EFFECT … chances are, we may get to see other neat promo stuff in the next few days.
The Odd Love Life Of A Massage Therapist And Her Family
Ellen Page has been getting lots of attention lately, having been romantically linked to the hawtness that is Alexander Skarsgård. But lest we forget she is a legitimate actress, here’s the trailer for her next film Touchy Feely. She’s starring alongside Rosemarie DeWitt (who is always awesome… and I’ve missed her on Mad Men lately), Ron Livingston, and Allison Janney. Rosemarie plays a massage therapist who loses her mojo, and Ellen plays her sister… who may or may not be putting the moves on Rosemarie‘s boyfriend. It looks like a good, fun, indie flick so I’m excited for its September 6th release. Peep the video for more!
