In the past week or so, we got to feast our eyes on TWO (yes, TWO) trailers (HERE and HERE) for the forthcoming superhero sequel spectacular The Avengers: Age of Ultron … so we are very lucky humans. BUT, did it occur to you that the trailers could have ended … better? Well, worry not, an industrious fan put together a video that shows how the trailer for The Avengers: Age of Ultron Should Have Ended … and you can watch it in full above. Enjoy.
"It’s selling really really well"
Taylor Swift‘s new album 1989, which was released earlier this week, is selling so well that it will likely be the first album to sell 1 million copies in its first week of release since she was the last artist to sell 1 million copies of an album (Red) in its first week of release (plus, she will likely have the only platinum-selling album of 2014). But not only is her album as a whole selling well but the individual singles from the album are selling well as well … including her infectious song Welcome To New York. Taylor has announced that proceeds from the sale of New York will be donated to the New York public school system because, duh, she’s Taylor Swift. More »
It was recently reported that the release date for Nicki Minaj‘s new album The Pink Print has been delayed to December but that just means Nicki has more time to promote the album’s release. Nicki just posted a pair of new promo videos on her official Instagram profile in support of The Pink Print which you can watch below. More »
Despite the reports that her doctors want to keep her in their watchful medical care for at least the next year, a hearing officer at the psychiatric facility where Amanda Bynes was being treated decided to release her from the 5150 involuntary hold that was placed on her and let her walk out of the hospital on her own. As a result, Amanda spent her night last night roaming Sunset Blvd. in search of food and a hotel that would let her spend the night. Apparently, she was turned down from more than one hotel. Ugh. The Holiday Broadway Musical Event
About a month ago, we got to check out new promo images of Allison Williams and Christopher Walken in character as Peter Pan and Captain Hook respectively as they will appear in the upcoming NBC holiday broadway musical event Peter Pan Live!, which will air on the network live on December 4. Today we get to see the first promo video for the musical special. This video is not really a trailer, per se, as it features more behind the scenes footage from the promo photoshoots but it does give us our first look at the actors in character, in real life. Personally, I’m still not at all impressed with what we’ve seen of Peter Pan Live! but, to be fair, we really haven’t seen much so … I’ll reserve judgement. What do you think?

Brought to you by PITNB Intern Iris!
We announced recently that PITNBr Iris is now (and henceforth forever more/until she gets too fancy for us) The PITNB intern Iris. Lemme tell you about Iris. She’s kind of a big deal, and she has been saving my life over the past couple of weeks, helping out with #TBT, awesome galleries (like the Celebrity Hallowe’en Costumes, which I love), and now handling much of our Facebook stuff. Last week I asked her to help me find some creepy Throwback music videos for Hallowe’en, and she came up with some great stuff. Click inside for more!
Coming in 2018 & 2019
Yesterday we learned that Marvel Studios is planning to release 9 superhero movies over the next 5 years culminating in a two-part Avengers movie event titled Infinity War. At the press event yesterday, an announcement video was screened for Avengers: Infinity War Parts I and II which you can watch in full above. The video features footage from the Marvel movies that have already been released cut together to tease the forthcoming new set of movies, which is cool I guess, but the clip culminates in footage of the villainous Thanos brandishing the Infinity Gauntlet with all 6 infinity stones. War is coming to the cinematic Marvel universe and we are SO not ready for it … so, thankfully, we have until 2018 and 2019 to get ready. Check out the announcement video for Avengers: Infinity War above and see what you think.
"I have a message for President Snow ..."
We are less than a month away from the release of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 and today we get to see the final trailer released for the film. As you can see in the embed above, this final trailer features footage that we’ve seen before but it does include very exciting previously unseen footage as well. The Mockingjay will rise on November 21, are you ready?
Rock ready to roll
Yesterday we learned that Prince‘s musical performance this weekend on Saturday Night Live will be one long 8-minute jam and today we get our first look at the promo videos featuring funnyman Chris Rock (Top Five) as this week’s host. It has been a very long time since Chris last hosted SNL so he has been long overdue for a triumphant return. Click the embed above to get a taste of some of the funny he will be bringing to SNL and remember to TUNE IN or SET YOUR DVRs for this weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live starring Chris Rock and Prince!
"Mother Theresa" does late night TV
Taylor Swift released her new album 1989 this week (which is already on track to be the most successful album of 2014) and last night she made an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman to perform her new single Welcome to New York and chat with Dave about her new music. You can click the embed above to watch Taylor (whom Letterman refers to as Mother Theresa for the way she treats her fans) perform New York in full (yes, the song is still insanely catchy when performed live) then you can click below to watch interview clips of Taylor talking about the house parties she hosted for fans, her lurve for Lena Dunham and her affinity for writing snarky songs about lousy ex-boyfriends.
