Last week, Pink is the new Blog writer Melissa blogged about Nick Cannon‘s hospitalization for minor kidney failure and a few days later she updated us with good news about his recovery. Today we learn from wife Mariah Carey herself that Nick has been discharged from the hospital and is now back home to recover with his family. Kidney failure is no joke, y’all so it’s a very good sign that doctors think he is well enough to leave the hospital … great news all around. Today, we get to check out a longer video that features more Madonna and informs us that her chat with reporter Cynthia McFadden will be spread over 3 ABC News programs — Nightline Thursday night, Good Morning America Friday morning and 20/20 Friday night. Mere moments ago, we got our first listen of a NEW song released by Jay-Z that was written in honor of and features guest vocals by his newborn daughter Blue Ivy (who was born late Saturday night, under the strictest security). Right now, we get to hear officially from Jay and his wife Beyoncé about the birth of their child. B-Jay are NOT known for issuing press releases about their personal lives … but for the occasion of the birth of their firstborn child, they clearly made an exception. People, we are just WEEKS away from the theatrical release of the big screen adaptation of The Hunger Games and to prepare us for the film’s premiere, Scholastic Publishing is releasing a series of movie-tie in books ahead of the film’s release. 'Glory' Features a Guest Performance by Blue Ivy Herself
Beyoncé and hubby Jay-Z welcomed the birth of their first born child, Blue Ivy, late Saturday night (albeit, amid some controversy) … and today, we get to hear the FIRST song inspired by the blessed little baby. Proud papa Jay put together a hip-hop track titled Glory that tells the story of the newborn’s conception and birth … and even features a guest appearance by Blue Ivy herself near the end of the song. PLUS, Sony Plans to Film the Sequel Films Later This Year
Those of you who have seen the David Fincher version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo very likely recall the slick opening title sequence at the start of the film. Those of you who have yet to see the film (um, what are you waiting for, go see this film NOW, people) are in for a treat because right now we not only get to learn some info on how the opening title sequence was made but we get to see the opening title sequence video in full below. AND, as a bit of bonus GREAT NEWS, it is also with great pleasure that I pass along the news that Sony has announced that the sequel film The Girl Who Played with Fire will go into production later this year. Outrageously Overzealous Security
As we should all know by now, Beyoncé and hubby Jay-Z welcomed the birth of their blessed first born child late Saturday night at Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC … a darling little girl they named Blue Ivy. While many folks inside B-Jay‘s inner circle are extolling the “beauty” of princess Blue Ivy, today we learn of the ugly side of the baby girl’s birth. In order to keep a tight lock on security surrounding Beyoncé giving birth, Lennox Hill Hospital reportedly gave Beyoncé and Jay-Z‘s security detail the power to regulate who was allowed where inside the hospital. As a result, reports say, other families were BARRED from having access to their just-born children in the intensive care unit — because they were NOT allowed to go anywhere in the hospital near Beyoncé and her baby. Last June we learned that the very secretive Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz got themselves clandestinely married and since that time there has been nary a sight of the newlyweds out and about together. That’s not to say that the couple have never been seen together but they’ve been doing everything they can to NOT publicly discuss their nuptials and NOT be seen together … until now. This weekend, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Craig FINALLY made their first public appearance together as a married couple on the red carpet of the Madrid, Spain premiere of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. E! News is reporting that Beyoncé and hubby Jay-Z have welcomed into the world their first child together. After many weeks of rumor and speculation over whether or not Bey gave birth or not, E! is reporting today that she has — in fact — given birth. As you may recall, we saw photos yesterday of Beyoncé out and about in NYC still very much pregnant … but at some point last night, it is being reported, she gave birth to a baby girl by C-section. The Wedding of Kevin Keller
Back in April of 2010, the long running Archie Comics introduced a new gay character named Kevin Keller. In March of 2011, Kevin Keller got his own spin-off comic book series alongside the various other Archie Comics offerings. Today we learn that Archie Comics is celebrating this month its first same-sex marriage in Life With Archie No. 16. The Life With Archie title takes place in a future comic book universe and in Issue No. 16, Kevin Keller — an army veteran — marries his partner Dr. Clay Walker. This is deffo not your father’s Archie Comics storyline … but it is a very important, timely and effing awesome storyline nonetheless. More »
