Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino Releases His Own Workout Video

On Tuesday we got our first look at the new DILLIGAF clothing line put out by Jersey Shore star Mike The Situation Sorrentino. Today we learn that homeskillet is also planning to release his very own workout DVD called The Situation Workout. Now, in addition to dressing like The Situation in his bedazzled white tank top shirts, you can also get your body to look like him, too!

Jersey’s Shore’s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino got his infamous nickname from his flawless set of abs and now he’s found a way to share his hardcore workout secrets with his fans. The pumped up reality star will release a hot new fitness video , and ONLY RadarOnline.com has the exclusive details and the final choice of video covers. “He’s got what people consider a great body, hence his name ‘The Situation’, so we decided what better way for people to get their own situation,” said Mike’s big brother Marc Sorrentino, who is the Chief Executive of his company. “We came up with the idea of shooting the video after the first season of Jersey Shore in February and it’s been a company goal since,” said Marc … “This video will give the secrets behind Mike’s muscles and it will help people achieve the body they want. The workout can be done anywhere with a couple of 25-pound dumb bells for men or 10-pounders for women,” Marc added.

Oh lord. Well, in all honesty, if The Situation is going to put out a product, at least this is a product he knows something about. I’m SO not down with his DILLIGAF clothing line … but his ripped bod is proof that he knows what he’s talking about when it comes to physical fitness … and thankfully, following his workout will NOT mean you will have to look like him from the neck up. First Look: ‘Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark’

First we heard the strange but true news that Spider-Man was being adapted for the Broadway musical stage then we heard that the show was put on hold due to technical complications and lack of funding … then we heard that the show was being canceled before we heard that show composer Bono of U2 decided to fund the production so that it could move forward … THEN we heard that the show, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark would FINALLY be opening in November (instead of February of this year). But today we learn that the show has been pushed back again … to December … but the good news (?) is that it is still set to open. The LA Times did a piece on the show and brings us our first look at one of the sets for this troubled yet still alive Spider-Man musical:

Is this for real? After delays and numerous rumors of shutdowns and financial problems, Broadway’s new “Spider-Man” musical has announced a new official opening date in December. The production, directed by Julie Taymor and featuring music by Bono and the Edge, will begin preview performances at the newly renamed Foxwoods Theatre (formerly the Hilton Theatre) on Nov. 14 and will open on Dec. 21. “Spider-Man” was originally supposed to open in February, but the escalating cost of the musical — which is said to be the most expensive ever on Broadway — caused the production to be pushed back. Tickets for “Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark” are set to go on sale to the general public in September, but no specific date was given. Organizers also announced new cast members for the blockbuster production. Tony nominee Jennifer Damiano will play the role of Mary Jane Watson, taking over from Evan Rachel Wood, and Patrick Page will play the Green Goblin, a role that was previously going to be played by Alan Cumming. Damiano received a Tony nomination last year for her supporting role in the musical “Next to Normal.” Reeve Carney is still on board to play the lead role of Peter Parker. The cast is scheduled to begin full rehearsals on Aug. 16.

The set above is of the stage-version of the Oscorp Laboratory … which looks kinda cool, I guess. Thru all of this back and forth over whether or not the show was going to open or not, I’ve still not been able to wrap my head around a musical based on the Spider-Man mythos. As much as I would love for it to be a huge hit (and it very well could be, with Julie Tamor at the helm), I fear it will fail as a silly production that cost way too much to produce. There are some amazing Broadway shows that were forced to close early due to financial difficulties that cost far less to produce than Spider-Man. I honestly have a hard time believing early ticket sales will be able to justify the show’s survival … BUT, all that being said, I absolutely want to see this show and will eat my words HAPPILY if Turn Off the Dark turns out to be a hit. But, just to be safe, I hope to be able to see the show while it is still in previews. I deffo want to see Spider-Man come to life on the musical stage. And I really want it to be good. HMMMM.

Alanis Morissette Shows Off Her Emerging Baby Bump

Yesterday we learned the very happy, very exciting news that Alanis Morissette and her new hubby Mario Souleye Treadway are pregs with their first child. Today we get to see the first photos of Alanis and Souleye out and about in public for the first time since news of their pregnancy was announced. Altho Alanis‘s baby bump is barely a bump at all, I think it’s still time to begin the official Alanis Bump Watch! Here are photos of Alanis and Souleye making their exit from a TV interview with Chelsea Handler in West Los Angeles, CA yesterday afternoon:


These photos were snapped just hours after Alanis‘s pregnancy news made its way around the Internets. Clearly, you can see that both she and hubby Souleye are very happy and excited to be parents. I love seeing her look so happy. After Alanis, Souleye and their Bump were finished at the TV studio, they dressed down and made a run for coffee. Steven Slater’s Legal Woes Get The Animated Treatment

Yesterday we learned all about the very dramatic (yet illegal) way that former JetBlue flight attendant Steven Slater quit his job with the company and today we get to see the whole dramatic (yet hilarious) ordeal play out in animated form. The Taiwanese news agency called Next Media which made animated video clips chronicling Lindsay Lohan‘s legal woes and Nicole Snooki Polizzi‘s legal woes have put together an amazingly entertaining video clip for Steven Slater:

Jennifer Lopez Will NOT Be A Judge On ‘American Idol’

A couple weeks ago we learned the shocking news that Ellen DeGeneres quit and that Kara DioGuardi had been fired from their job as judges on American Idol … in their places, it was widely reported that Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler of Aerosmith would be taking their places on the judging panel. Fox made NO official confirmation that either J. Lo or Steven had been hired but it was believed they were both close to signing on to judge AI. Today, People magazine is reporting that sources close to the AI drama reveal that Jennifer Lopez will NOT be a judge on AI after all … reportedly because J. Lo‘s demands got out of hand and Fox decided to let her go:

Jennifer Lopez won’t be a judge on American Idol after all, according to a source close to the situation. The singer-actress had been closing a deal to be a permanent judge on the show for its upcoming 10th season but the deal fell apart. “Her demands got out of hand,” says the source. “Fox had just had enough.” With Simon Cowell and Ellen Degeneres both departing the talent search, the network had been pursuing a number of celebrities as potential judges, including Aerosmith‘s Steven Tyler. But now that Lopez is out of the running, the network may be looking at their earlier top picks again. Other reports have said that the panel could go back to the original three-judge format.

HMMM … this is … interesting. Despite the fact that American Idol has been losing it’s luster, judging the show is still one of the most coveted jobs on TV right now. I cannot believe that Jennifer Lopez would do anything to jeopardize getting on the show … if this report of diva demands turns out to be true, then I guess J. Lo‘s reputation as La Diva Latina lives on. It’s a bummer … I liked seeing the softer, fun side of J. Lo swinging on the swings last weekend … I was actually looking forward to seeing her on AI. I’m actually very surprised Idol is having this much trouble filling the judging positions … I wonder who will be chosen to replace J. Lo on American Idol now.

Robbie Williams & Ayda Field Share Their Wedding Photos With ‘Hello!’ Magazine

On Sunday we learned that British popstar Robbie Williams wed the very lovely Ayda Field here in LA over the weekend and altho we got to see a photo of the couple taken from a distance we have yet to see any official wedding photos … until now. Robbie and Ayda, the happy newlyweds, are featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Hello! magazine … behold:

It’s really amazing to hear Robbie talk so fondly of the woman he loves … the woman that he credits with saving his life. Longtime fans know that Rob has had a long history of substance abuse and worked his way thru a string of ladyfriends … that is, until he met Ayda and she helped him get his life in order. I know there aren’t a lot of Robbie Williams fans here in the US (he’s like the male Kylie Minogue) but I’ve been a fan for a while and I’m just loving this new settled down Robbie. David Beckham Returns To The Soccer Field

David Beckham, who returned home to SoCal after many months away due to his commitment to his other soccer team AC Milan (which resulted in a very painful foot injury), stepped out onto the soccer field here at home for the first time since he was injured earlier this year. Becks and his sons — Brooklyn Joseph, Romeo James and Cruz David — spent some time kicking around the soccer ball together yesterday afternoon:

Following months away from the pitch as he recovers from injury, it looks like David Beckham is easing himself back into the game… with the help of his three sons. After taking his boys to the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday, the 35-year-old was spotted enjoying a kickaround with them in a Los Angeles park yesterday. While graciously letting his sons get more ball possession, it looks like the midfielder is well on the way to building up his fitness ahead of his return to LA Galaxy next month. Becks revealed over the weekend he was eyeing a return to LA Galaxy in September after an encouraging appointment with his doctor. When October was mentioned, he said: ‘Two or three weeks before that. It’s just about getting strength back in my calf.’ Beckham was heartbroken when he was forced to pull out of the World Cup after tearing his Achilles tendon when he was on loan from Galaxy to AC Milan in March. Fans are hoping he will be ready to rejoin Galaxy in time for their game against the New York Red Bulls on September 24, with their new acquisition Thierry Henry. But in the meantime, Beckham looked content to be spending quality time with his sons Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, seven, and Cruz, five, yesterday. Young Romeo was showing his family pride by wearing his dad’s Galaxy shirt with Beckham and number 23 written across the back.

Easy does it, Becks. I’m glad to see that he’s back on the field but I do hope he takes it easy. I’m so in love with the fact that he has been inseparable from his sons lately. It’s great to have him back home in SoCal :)

Wyclef Jean Launches A Viral Campaign For His Haitian Presidency Run

Last week Wyclef Jean officially announced his candidacy for the office of President of Haiti and over the weekend he launched a viral video campaign called Fas A Fas to drum up grassroots support for his bid for office. Here are a few screencaps from the first video released from this new campaign:


The clip is short … and kinda pointless. There isn’t much of a message nor is there anything to really see. The video shows Wyclef arriving in Haiti and then crowds of people chanting Fas A Fas and then … I think we see Wyclef addressing the crowd (tho we can’t hear or see him very well) and then the clip is over. Emma Watson Wants To Be ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’?

Last Thursday we got our first look at Harry Potter star Emma Watson‘s fabulous new short hair’do but today we are hearing her haircut may have been inspired by more than just a keen sense of style. According to The Sun, Emma chopped off her hair because she is trying to get the part of Lisbeth Salander in the US remake of the Swedish film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Män Som Hatar Kvinnor). In all honesty and as much as I love Emma, I don’t see this happening … but it does make for an interesting rumor:

EMMA WATSON’s dodgy new barnet is more than a ropey fashion statement – it’s an attempt to land the biggest vacant role in Hollywood. The actress is screen-testing for the lead in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, based on the best-selling STIEG LARSSON novel. And just like her Harry Potter character Hermione Granger, she’s leaving nothing to chance to land the gig as computer hacker Lisbeth Salander. Emma shocked fans last week when she showed off a new pixie hairstyle. And a movie insider said: “Emma has auditioned with director DAVID FINCHER and cut her hair to look the part. “The character of Lisbeth is a misfit goth-type girl with spikey hair.” The role of Lisbeth is the biggest female role on offer in Hollywood at the moment. Whoever gets the part will be contracted to three films. So I can see why Emma’s pulled out all the stops to try and bag it. For posh Emma it would be a big contrast to straight-laced Hermione. Salander ends up in some outrageous sex scenes with men and women, including a graphic and violent bedroom scene. Emma, who is studying at Brown University in America, faces serious competition for the coveted role though. Other actresses linked to the part include ELLEN PAGE, NATALIE PORTMAN, CAREY MULLIGAN and KRISTEN STEWART.

Awww … yeah … no. While I love that The Sun is trying to make us believe that Emma Watson is “up for the role” of Lisbeth Salander, I cannot believe that she (or Kristen Stewart, for that matter) is seriously in contention for the role. The role of Salander is amazingly gritty and IMHO should be played by a newcomer. It’s a star-making role, for sure, but it is very gritty and very serious. Noomi Rapace plays Lisbeth Salander in the Swedish trilogy of films and she is absolutely STUNNING in the role. The US version of the films would be extremely lucky to find an actress who is half as talented as she is. It’s a shame that Rapace can’t be rehired to play the role again in English because for me, she IS Lisbeth Salander. But, I digress … as cute as this story is, I don’t buy it for a second. Emma‘s hair’do is still fab, tho … no question about that. What do y’all think of this report? Who would YOU like to see play Lisbeth in Dragon Tattoo?

Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi’s Legal Woes Get The Animated Treatment

Last week we got to see an AMAZINGLY funny animated video clip put together by a Taiwanese news agency called Next Media that told the sad tale of Lindsay Lohan‘s recent legal woes. Today we get to see a new clip made by the same folks that tells the animated take of Jersey Shore star Nicole Snooki Polizzi:


LOLOLOLOL!! The Lindsay video was funny but I honestly thought it’d be a one-time thing … but this Snooki video is just as entertaining. Did she really hit President Barack Obama in the head with a bottle? I’m not sure if Next Media is planning to make more videos but I certain hope so … these things are hilarious. I’d love to see more.
