Captain America vs. Iron Man
Last weekend we learned that filming production of the forthcoming superhero sequel film Captain America: Civil War had wrapped when photos from the film’s wrap party made their way online. Today we learn a bit more about the Civil War storyline as it will be featured in next year’s film. In the comic book story, the legion of Marvel Comics superheroes were divided into two opposing camps with Captain America leading a group of heroes on one side and Iron Man leading the other group of heroes on the other side (the factions are divided over a move by the US government to force superheroes to register with the government or face punishment). Obviously, the story in the movie version won’t be as grand but today we learn which heroes will fall on which side of the factions. New concept art from Civil War has surfaced that show us who will be on Team Captain America and who will be on Team Iron Man. Click below to see the assembled superhero teams. More »
Because, of course
Earlier this month, Bobbi Kristina Brown — the only begotten child of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston — was laid to rest after she passed away after months in a coma, which stemmed from injuries she suffered from her bathtub drowning back in January. As you may recall, Bobbi Kristina‘s boyfriend Nick Gordon was not allowed to attend the funeral or the burial because the Brown/Houston family faults him for her death. Today we learn that Nick paid a recent visit to BK‘s gravesite so that he could be photographed by The National Enquirer for a cover story feature … for which he was reportedly paid $40,000. The National Enquirer will feature “10 dramatic photos” in their new issue, two of which are featured on their magazine cover … which you can see below. More »
The Mayans will ride again
Earlier this month we learned from series creator Kurt Sutter that FX is still very much interested in producing a prequel series to Sons of Anarchy which may air on the network some time in the future (after Sutter‘s new FX series The Bastard Executioner gets settled on the network). Today, tho, we learn that another Sons of Anarchy series may come to FX sooner than the SoA prequel. Sutter reveals that he is developing a SoA spin-off series that will focus on the rival motorcycle club The Mayans, who were featured on Sons of Anarchy. At this early stage, there aren’t a lot of concrete details about this possible show but we do have enough info for SoA fans to get excited about. More »

Coming Halloween 2015
Back in May, we got our first look at the first teaser released for the new Starz original TV series Ash Vs. Evil Dead and today we get to see the just-released second teaser for the series. Ash Vs. Evil Dead is a sequel series of sorts to the original Evil Dead and Army of Darkness films that made Bruce Campbell a star. As you can see in the teaser embedded above, this new series will feature the same humor and silly gore that has made the Evil Dead franchise a beloved cult classic. Have a look at this teaser and see how many times it makes you laugh. I’m really looking forward to this new series, which will appropriately premiere on Starz on Hallowe’en.

MTV will air their annual Video Music Awards LIVE from the Microsoft Theater in downtown LA on Sunday August 30 and, as we learned last month, Miley Cyrus will be hosting this year’s affair. Today we learn that rapper Kanye West has been selected as the recipient of the 2015 Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award which celebrates excellence in music, art, fashion and culture. "Don't worry though"
Yesterday we learned of a horribly tragic report that made the bold claim that the members of the British boyband One Direction are planning to “separate” in order to take on individual solo projects after they release their next album next year. At the time of the reporting, the PR team for 1D offered suspicious “no comments” in response to the break-up claim. Today we are hearing from 2 members of One Direction who insist that the group is NOT breaking up for good and clarify that the group is merely “taking a break” from boybanding … which, I’m sure may agree, sounds an awful lot like a prelude to a break-up. BUT, a promise is a promise and Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson SWEAR that we shouldn’t “worry” because One Direction isn’t “going anywhere”. More »
Last week, we got to hear a tiny portion of Ryan Adams‘s cover of Taylor Swift‘s song Shake It Off, as featured Adams‘s version of Swift‘s album 1989 — which he has been recording for a few weeks now. Today we get the “update people have been asking for” regarding the progress of Ryan‘s version of 1989 … and it’s a good one. Ryan tells us that the album will be fully completed this week and he suggests (without coming right out and saying so) that the album may be released “very soon”. As you can read below, Ryan says there is only one step left for the album to be completely finished and … ready for release? HMMMMM. Read on. More »
