Back in December of last year, we learned the sad news that former Saved By The Bell actor Dustin Diamond got arrested for allegedly stabbing a man in a bar on Xmas. In January, we learned that Diamond would be going on trial for the alleged assault. Today, we learn that Dustin has been found guilty of the charges and has been sentenced to 4 months in jail as punishment. Dustin‘s fall from SBTB grace has been a long one, culminating in incarceration. Damn. More »

TMZ reports that criminal prosecutors will be filing murder charges
We learned yesterday that after doctors explained that Bobbi Kristina Brown‘s comatose condition continues to worsen, the Brown/Houston family decided to take Bobbi Kristina off all medication and put her in hospice care, seemingly resigning themselves to the reality that she doesn’t have long to live. Today we learn that in the wake of the family’s decision to essentially “let her go”, the legal conservatorship for BK has filed at $10 million dollar lawsuit against her boyfriend Nick Gordon claiming that he not only physically and emotionally abused her but that he also stole money from her. And if Nick thought his weepy bullshizz on the Dr. Phil show earlier this year was a low point for him, he ain’t seen nothing yet. TMZ is reporting that criminal prosecutors are coming for Nick with charges that his actions led to Bobbi Kristina‘s accident, which led to her coma, which will eventually lead to her death. It sounds like Nick will be facing murder charges shortly after BK‘s death. Wow. More »
Cordelia Chase grows up
Last month we got our first look at Ryan Murphy‘s new Fox TV series Scream Queens, which looks like a mix between the Scream movie and the Pretty Little Liars TV series, debuting on the network this fall. Today we learn that former Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel actress Charisma Carpenter has been added to the cast in the role of Ariana Grande‘s character’s mother. As a longtime BtVS fan, I am LOVING that Charisma is finding new work on network television. Altho it will be a bit strange for some (me included) to see the former Cordelia Chase as the mother of a grown young woman, I have to admit … her casting does make the prospect of watching Scream Queens much more enticing. But, "All suitors are welcome."
Just a few days ago, we learned the upsetting news that NBC has decided to cancel their brilliant series Hannibal at the conclusion of the third season, which is airing through August on the network now. As soon as news of Hannibal‘s cancellation broke, fans of the show (Fannibals, if you will) have been hoping aloud that the series might find continued life on another network … possibly online … with Netflix being the company being bandied about most often. Today we hear from Hannibal show creator Bryan Fuller about the future of the series and he happily informs us that there has been interest from multiple interested parties in picking up Hannibal for future seasons. Because the show is already partnered with Amazon for online streaming rights, Fuller suggests that Hannibal might live on there … BUT, because other companies are interested in the show as well, all offers are being considered. THIS is amazing news. More »

She is off all medication, in hospice care, it's only a matter of time
Last month, Cissy Houston updated us on her granddaughter Bobbi Kristina Brown‘s medication condition revealing that there has been no change in her status (as she remains in a coma resulting from her bathtub drowning back in February). Today, we learn from family spokesperson Patricia Houston that the family appears to have finally come to terms with the reality that BK is gone for good. Houston released a statement revealing that Bobbi Kristina has been moved to hospice care. Apparently, because her condition continues to deteriorate, Bobbi has been taken off all medication … which means that the family is ready to let God’s will be done. While the family held on to hope longer than most people in their situation would have, it looks like they are finally coming to grips with the tragic reality of BK‘s situation. More »
Coming July 17
Ant-Man will be blasting into theaters next month and to get us excited, Marvel has teamed up with Entertainment Weekly for the release of a new batch of character posters for the movie. As I understand it, Ant-Man is being treated as the final movie of Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe Movies (Phase One ended with 2012′s The Avengers) so it sounds like the events that take place in the movie will be very important to to close out Phase Two before Phase Three begins with next year’s Captain America: Civil War. I’ll share more on that later, for now, enjoy these fun character posters that feature the film’s stars having a bit of fun with little ol’ Ant-Man.

There is no hope for mankind
Earlier today we learned that the forthcoming sequel movie Independence Day 2 has been given the title Resurgence and we got to see promo photos and video from an ID2 event that took place last night to announce the film’s title and official synopsis. Right now we get to see a photo of the principal cast of ID2: Resurgence that was shared on Facebook by director Roland Emmerich … and appears to have been taken by actor Jeff Goldblum … holding a selfie stick. Sigh. The cast photo is fun, tho, so let’s try and ignore the selfie stickness of this photo and try and enjoy it anyways ;) More »

Today we get to see the just-released second trailer for the series that features a beautiful rendition of Metallica‘s song Nothing Else Matters. None of the Heroes characters, either old or new, are seen in this video promo … just scenes from a world wondering Where Are The Heroes? The answer to that question will come when Heroes Reborn airs on NBC this coming TV season. Are you ready?

He is expected to feature in 'Civil War'
Back in March we first started hearing rumors about which young actors were in contention to become the new Spider-Man in the next phase of movies from Sony Pictures. As you may recall, Sony and Marvel Studios reached an agreement where they will share usage of the Spider-Man character on the big screen and it is expected that the new Spider-Man will be featured in the upcoming Marvel movie Captain America: Civil War before he stars in his own set of Spider-Man movies. Today we learn that Tom Holland (The Impossible) has won the coveted role of the web-slinging superhero. Move over Tobey McGuire, step aside Andrew Garfield … there’s a new friendly neighborhood Spider-Man on the scene. More »
