Earlier this week, we saw the first photos taken on the set of the Full House spin-off series Fuller House which will debut on Netflix next year. Today we get to see a photo from the set that was snapped during a live audience taping of the show. The photo comes from a TMZ story which reports that John Stamos was joking about his recent DUI arrest during the taping (which, if true, is gross) but I’m much more interested in the photo that shows Stamos alongside his Full House co-stars Bob Saget, Dave Coulier and Lori Loughlin in the very familiar Tanner family kitchen. Meet The Wiz herself and Evillene
Back in March, we learned the VERY EXCITING NEWS that NBC has selected the musical The Wiz as the production they will produce and air in December. Today we learn some really great casting news for The Wiz Live! Actress Stephanie Mills has been added to the cast as Aunt Em and singers Queen Latifah and Mary J. Blige have been added to the cast in the roles of The Wiz and Evillene, the Wicked Witch of the West. In the movie version of the musical, released back in 1978, The Wiz was played by Richard Pryor and Evillene was played by Mabel King. I am so damn excited by this entire production that I can barely breathe! I am LOVING this casting news so much! More »
"The pioneers ... made it easier for me"
On June 1, Caitlyn Jenner made her worldwide debut on the cover of that month’s issue of Vanity Fair magazine. But, the road to the cover of Vanity Fair was a long one, chronicled by a short film documentary titled Call Me Caitlyn. The embed above features the full 10-minute documentary, filmed and released by VF magazine, and shows us behind the scenes footage from the shoot along with interviews with members of the Vanity Fair staff and, of course, Caitlyn Jenner herself. Caitlyn offers some really great insight in this short documentary film, particularly her acknowledgement of the trans pioneers who came before her. Check out the video above, I think you’ll enjoy it as much as I do.
Back in March we learned that model/actress Jaime King named her BFF Taylor Swift as godmother to her then still-incubating baby. Today we learn not only that Jaime gave birth to a beautiful baby boy but we also get to see the precious moment when new godmother Taylor met her godson for the very first time. Leo Thames King-Newman was born back on July 16 but Taylor has been busy touring and feuding in recent weeks so this was her first chance to meet the baby boy. Click below to see two photos shared by Taylor on her official Instagram profile that show the first moments she got to spend with the new love of her life. More »
Featuring host Miley Cyrus
Last week we learned that pop star Miley Cyrus has been tapped to host the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards which will air live on MTV on August 30. Today we get to check out the first promo video released for the VMAs which features Miley in her role as host and as you can see below, it’s pretty much what we expect to see from Miley and MTV. It looks like Miley is going for “ratchet chic” in this first promo video, which made its debut on her official Instagram profile. The promo features plenty of attitude, middle fingers and, of course, Miley‘s tongue. Have a look below at what we can expect with Miley Cyrus as host of the 2015 MTV VMAs. More »
"Channing Tatum’s 'Gambit' deal is in jeopardy of falling apart"
Back in May of 2014, we learned officially that beefy actor Channing Tatum was cast in the role of the tall, lanky X-Men mutant Gambit / Remy LeBeau in future X-Men movies — including a stand-alone Gambit movie that is set for release in 2016. Channing made an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con this month to promote the forthcoming film. Today we learn, tho, that Tatum may not star in Gambit after all. Nothing has been officially confirmed but a new report suggests that trouble is brewing with the production and may result in Channing leaving the movie altogether. Filming production of Gambit is set to begin in October so … if Channing‘s out, then another actor will have to be found and found quickly. HMMM. More »

Batman v. Superman v. Lex Luthor
It’s only been a little over 2 weeks since we got to see the amazing new trailer for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, which was released at San Diego Comic-Con, and I’m still not over it. I must’ve watched the trailer at least 100 times by now (OMG, Wonder Woman, at last!). Today, we get a new BvS update, courtesy of Empire magazine. Three new promo images have been released from Dawn of Justice that give us a new look at the big guys Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill), as well as the movie’s big bad Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg). The photos are pretty neat and are deffo a must see for any DC Comics fan … check ‘em out. More »
At long last, the BSA does the right thing
Back in March of 2013, the Boy Scouts of America voted to end their ban on gay members which allowed gay minors to participate as sanctioned members of the BSA BUT the organization kept in place its ban on gay adult leaders. As a result, gay Boy Scouts were welcome until their 18th birthday, when they were no longer allowed to have an affiliation with the organization (which made absolutely no sense when you consider that the most loyal and accomplished Boy Scouts typically become Eagle Scouts by age 18). Today, we learn the very happy news that FINALLY, the Boy Scouts of America has decided to end its ban on gay adults … finally allowing gays of all ages to participate in the organization. BUT, it’s not as simple as that. The BSA will allow religious chapters of their organization to keep in place their bans on gay members/adults if they so desire, which dirties the waters of this progressive advancement for the organization.
