"No, No, don't open it!
In early July, we got our first look at the first trailer for the big screen adaptation of R.L. Stine‘s book series Goosebumps. Today we get to see the just-released second trailer for the movie … which is very similar to the first trailer, with only a new scene or two here and there. Even still, this new trailer for Goosebumps does a very good job of giving us a feel for how the movie will turn out … and it looks kinda fun. I have a feeling that Goosebumps fans will enjoy this movie for the mere fact that we will finally get to see these beloved scary characters come to life. It’s been ages since I’ve read these books but I get the sense that people will enjoy this movie, even if they haven’t read all of the Goosebumps books. Goosebumps will open in theaters on October 15, you ready?

Reports of her 'AHS' retirement
have been greatly exaggerated are complete b.s.
Back in October of 2013, Jessica Lange revealed to the world her desire to “retire” from acting and give up her lead role on the FX drama American Horror Story. Then, we learned out that her retirement from acting wouldn’t be absolute, that she would take on acting roles that appealed to her from time to time. Then, we found out that Jessica has teamed up with AHS creator Ryan Murphy for a Broadway show. Then, we found out that Jessica has decided to remain open to appearing on AHS again. Today we learn that she will definitely be appearing in the new season of the show, American Horror Story: Hotel. The official Facebook page for the show made the announcement that Lange will be “checking in” this season … which really means that she never really retired from the show after all. More »
"Your beauty is beyond compare"
Kelly Clarkson performed a concert in Albuquerque, NM last night and by request performed a cover of the 1973 Dolly Parton classic Jolene, which you can watch in full above. Jolene is the Dolly Parton song that everybody covers so it’s not a big surprise that it was a fan request that Kelly decided to honor. But, just because the song is covered by pretty much everyone doesn’t mean that all of the covers are equal. As is usually the case when she decides to put her own spin on a song, Kelly‘s version of Jolene is exceptional. The song is so sad and poignant and Kelly is able channel those feelings beautifully. Kelly Clarkson‘s tour continues to roll across America, blessing us with these wonderful cover songs. I can’t wait to hear what she has for us next.
Parting is such sweet sorrow
Two weeks ago we got to see promo image stills from the forthcoming series finale episode of Hannibal on NBC and today, we get to see a clip from the episode. Titled The Wrath of the Lamb, the series finale episode will air on Saturday night on NBC, bringing to a close the world of Hannibal on network television. While there is still hope that this incarnation of Hannibal (including its creators and actors) may live on as a film or films, the sad reality is that the series is coming to a final close this weekend. Before we say goodbye to this amazing show, click below to watch a clip of footage from the episode where Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) says his goodbyes to Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) … one last time. Whatcha got there, Finn?
Yesterday we got our first look at some of the awesome toys that will be released for sale in conjunction with the forthcoming release of the anticipated Star Wars sequel film The Force Awakens in December. Today we get to see a short clip of new footage from the film which was debuted on the official Star Wars Instagram profile earlier today. Instagram now allows photos and videos to be shared both vertically and horizontally (rather than just merely squarely) and they used this new footage from Star Wars: The Force Awakens to announce this new functionality. The clip embedded below features mostly scenes from the movie that we’ve seen before but there are a couple of new scenes so … what are you waiting for? Have a look. More »
Earlier this week, we got our first listen of Demi Lovato‘s new song Confident, which is the follow-up to her summer smash hit single Cool For the Summer and, we now know, is the title track of her new album. Demi confirmed that the title of her new album is, indeed, Confident with the release of the cover artwork for the release on her official Twitter profile. As you can see below, Demi‘s album cover is pretty damn sexy, if I do say so myself. I am in love with both singles Cool For the Summer and Confident and, as such, am extremely excited for the release of Demi‘s new album. Check out the artwork below and get excited with me. More »

Last month, we got to see the first teaser video for the forthcoming 5th season of Homeland on Showtime which gave us a tiny taste of the changes coming to the storyline. Today we get to see the first, full-length trailer for Homeland season 5 and as you can see above, it gives us a very good understanding of what we can expect from the forthcoming season. The new season picks up 2 years after the end of season 4 and it will focus initially on ex-CIA agent Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) working as a private citizen in Berlin, Germany. As you can see above, Carrie‘s past catches up with her and forces her into an incredibly complicated situation that will force her back into the life she thought she left behind. I like this trailer. I wasn’t sure how I felt about the course of the new season based on the teaser we saw last month but I am impressed by how things are clarified in this new trailer. Homeland season 5 premieres on Showtime on October 7. I am so in, are you?
