SO … Mariah Carey has selected the song You Don’t Know What To Do as her next single and, as such, has unveiled the cover art for said single. BUT, Mimi wants you to know that she had NOTHING to do with the single cover artwork at all. Why, pray tell, would Mimi want to make this point evidently clear? Well, because the cover art is so freakishly Photoshopped that not even she wants anything to do with it. LOL. Click below to see this horrid creation of scary to see what all the fuss is about. In the Can
A few days ago, we got to see a set of neat promo photos in support of the upcoming sequel film The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, which is due to hit theaters later this year. Today we learn that the final film in the Hunger Games franchise, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, has officially wrapped filming production. Altho there are things like editing, scoring, etc. left to complete the final film, all of the acting parts of production are officially finished … which, it turns out, is hugely emotional for the cast and crew of the movies. "sorry for offense"
It would appear that the once very popular photographer Terry Richardson is losing his luster as more and more of his friends attempt to distance themselves from him. I guess all of those allegations of sexual abuse on his part are finally catching up with him. Yesterday we saw a snippet of Lady Gaga‘s ill-advised music video for Do What U Want which was directed by Richardson and has been, thankfully, scrapped. Today we learn that actor Alan Cumming tweeted a photo with Terry that was met with such a backlash that he deleted the photo and apologized for posting it … then he deleted his apology as well. Yeah, it’s lookin’ more and more like Terry Richardson is the persona non grata o’ the moment. More »
"i regret trusting the guardian"
Last week we learned of an interview published in The Guardian newspaper that suggested that singer Lana Del Rey wished she was dead. As goth and emotive as Lana Del Rey‘s persona is, I really thought that her admission that she she wished she was dead was entirely silly. It turns out that LDR thinks it’s silly, too, because in a series of Tweets that she just posted online, it would appear that her death comments were taken out of context and manipulated into a sensational story. Click below to read what LDR has to say about her chat with The Guardian. More »
Coming in August 2015
A new biopic film titled Straight Outta Compton is headed for theaters in August of next year that will tell the story of the famed rap group N.W.A. Unlike the made-for-TV movies to come on the lives of Whitney Houston and Aaliyah, this new biopic film is being produced for the big screen … with the involvement of the actual members of N.W.A. themselves — Ice Cube and Dr. Dre. Cube announced the biopic release date and gives us our first look at the cast of Straight Outta Compton on his official Twitter profile just a short time ago. Click below to see who will star in his new film. More »
Back in February we got our first look at the first promo photo released from the much-anticipated big screen adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey … but, as you may recall, we didn’t really get to see much of the titular character Christian Grey (played by the insanely hot Jamie Dornan). Today, we get our first official look at Christian Grey‘s face in a just-released new promo photo from the film. Have a look below to see what our Christian Grey looks like head on. More »
... It must be Tuesday
It’s been about 15 minutes since Azealia Banks got into a Twitter beef with someone or other so she was due to get into another feud for some time now. This time around Azealia had something nasty to say about T.I.‘s wife Tiny and, unsurprisingly, T.I. had something a lot nastier to say back … which set off Azealia on an unhinged rant on Twitter that has blown the whole entire incident out of proportion. It’s a matter of she said/he said/she said back and, well, the whole thing would be entertaining if it weren’t so disappointing and sad. More »
Why This Casting And Terminology Is Important
Let’s talk about terminology for a second here. Today I read the term “gender-fluid” for the first time and I thought, “Yes, perfect.” So much depends on language and the labels that we use (as I’ve said before), and in the conversation about identity, queerness, and the trans experience there’s a lot that many of us have to learn. Some people (many people) still have difficulty accepting that a person can be born one sex, and later identify as another. In a report about Sofia Coppola‘s new movie, I really appreciated the way Indiewire’s /bent shared news about Andrej Pejic. So. excuse me while I add the term “gender-fluid” to my vocabulary, and share this new understanding with all of you. Click inside for more!
Dina's Day, apparently
Mother of the Year Dina Lohan chimed in on Father’s Day yesterday with a message that, I believe, was meant to celebrate others but actually ended up being a pat on the back for herself. Dina reposted a photo that was shared by her eldest son Michael Lohan, Jr. last September that features all members of the Lohan family … except for estranged father Michael Lohan. Dina‘s message on Twitter was meant to remind people of what an amazing parent she is … which is too laughable to even take seriously. More »
The entire 2014 Rams Rookie Class got signed!
Last month we learned that football player Michael Sam became the first openly gay player in the NFL when he was drafted to play for the St. Louis Rams. Since that time, Sam has been training with the Rams in the hopes of signing on officially to play for the Rams when the new football season begins later this year. Today we learn, happily, that Michael and the rest of the rookie class that was drafted by the Rams last month have all signed contracts to play for the team. It’s officially official … Michael Sam is an NFLer now! More »
