"causing quite a stir"
Over the weekend a new coffee shop opened here in LA that looks exactly like a Starbucks shop except for the signage that reads Dumb Starbucks. As soon as word began to spread about this shop, folks have been lining up for hours waiting to get in and order the “dumb” drink offerings that are available. Starbucks, the company, is aware of the store and are reportedly examining their legal options and up until now, no one knew who was behind the shop … but many people started to believe it was a Banksy piece of performance art. Just moments ago, LA artist Marc Horowitz claimed credit for the project on Twitter … but he has yet to prove his claim. Click below to learn more about this … well, whatever it is and see what you think. UPDATE: The real person responsible for this prank is not Horowitz, it’s actually THIS guy. More »
"I cannot take this anymore."
As some of you may be WELL aware, there is a new mobile video game called Flappy Bird that has taken the world by storm … primarily because of how difficult the game is to play and how angry that makes most users. The deceptively simple game is notoriously difficult to master and that, I think, is why everyone loves to “hate” it. Just moments ago, the creator of Flappy Bird, Dong Nguyen, announced on his official Twitter profile that he is taking the game down tomorrow. It’s unclear what “taking the game down” means exactly but it sounds like the creator is ready to end the staggering success he has enjoyed in a very short time with Flappy Bird. Read his tweet messages below and see exactly what he has to say about the future of Flappy Bird. More »

"the door got locked/jammed...."
For the past few days, we’ve been hearing about the problems that people have been experiencing in their hotel buildings and rooms upon arrival in Sochi, Russia for the 2014 Olympic Winter Games (famously chronicled by the Twitter account @SochiProblems). Some people have complained about dangerous water coming from the faucets, dangerous wiring hanging from holes in the walls, unfinished roads … that sort of thing. Earlier today, US Olympian Johnny Quinn shared a problem on his official Twitter profile that he experienced in his hotel room this morning. After showering, he found that he was locked in the bathroom and couldn’t get out. After calls for help went unanswered, Quinn found another way to get out of the bathroom. More »
Ever since Sarah Michelle Gellar joined Twitter back in October, she has been posting really fun photos on her profile … from peeks at her new “baby” to smooches with Santa Claus. Fun stuff. Today we get to see a photo that she shared with her followers that features one of her former Buffy the Vampire Slayer co-stars. SMG worked with so many great actors, actors who played various amazing characters, that it would be hard for me to pick a fave for her to be BFFs with. BUT, as soon as she posted the photo on Twitter, I knew that she was smart to hang on to this particular co-star/BFF. HE played one of my all-time favorite characters on Buffy so I’m just so happy to share the photo here with all of you. Click below to see who it is. More »

"[I]t's about her truth"
In the wake of the release of Dylan Farrow‘s open letter describing the sexual abuse she suffered at the hands of her father Woody Allen, we have heard responses from Allen‘s attorney and publicist and reactions from actors Cate Blanchett and Alec Baldwin (who were among a small number of actors who have worked professionally with Allen and were name-checked by Farrow in her letter). Today we learn that Dylan‘s mother Mia Farrow has also issued a response to her letter in a post on her official Twitter profile. Click below to read what Mia has to say in the wake of the release of daughter Dylan‘s powerful letter. More »
UPDATE: Flea responds
Earlier today we learned that the Bruno Mars/Red Hot Chili Peppers performance at Super Bowl XLVIII was the most-watched halftime show in history. Right now we learn that while Bruno appeared to be singing live, the guitarists in Red Hot Chili Peppers did NOT appear to be playing their instruments live. HMMM. A close look at the instruments, like Flea‘s bass guitar, show that they were not plugged in to anything at all. It appears that they just strummed their instruments and pretended to play along to a pre-recorded track. Click below to see photos of Flea playing his bass during the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday and then during a concert performance back in 2011 and see what his instrument looks like unplugged and plugged for comparison. UPDATE: Flea has responded regarding the unplugged guitars thing. More »
She Said / He Tweeted
Over the weekend, Dylan Farrow published an open letter in The New York Times revealing in some detail the sexual abuse she suffered at the hands of her father Woody Allen. In the letter, as you may recall, Farrow mentions Cate Blanchett, Alec Baldwin and other actors who have worked with Allen in an attempt, I think, to inspire them to consider who they choose to associate with (ie. her abusive father) and maybe to get them to respond. Today we learn that both Cate and Alec have reacted publicly in the wake of Farrow‘s letter. While neither actor addresses Farrow directly, it’s clear that their comments have special importance because they come after Farrow name-checked them in her letter. Click below to read what they have to say. More »
Twitter Has Spoken
Do you remember where you were when you first saw that NSFW photo of Justin Bieber suckling a skripper’s nipple with his friend? Yeah, me neither. For many of us, yesterday was just a regular day– we ate, we drank, we came onto PITNB and saw that Bieber had gotten caught up in some shizz again. But for other people, yesterday’s news was a reason to weep, a reason to turn in their Belieber shirts. And for others, it was a call to arms– a reason to get online and defend their beloved, their king. Click inside for some hilarious Twitter reactions to the latest in Bieberdom.

At least he likes to share
OH man … so much Justin Bieber news making the rounds today. TMZ has gotten its hands on a photo that was taken at a “recent party” that shows both Justin and his friend Khalil Amir Shaieff (the guy who was also arrested in Miami Beach, FL when JB got busted for drag racing, DUI and resisting arrest) both suckling a nipple each on the same stripper. I mean, yeah, the photo looks exactly like it sounds. You can preview the EXTREMELY NSFW photo below but I warn you, the sight of Justin Bieber with his mouth on a woman’s breast may be extremely disconcerting to
some most. Proceed with caution. More »
