He's already watched it AT LEAST 37 times
Nicki Minaj unleashed her bootylicious music video for Anaconda a couple of days ago and thus far, the vid has received lots of views. It turns out that Sir Mix-A-Lot himself — whose Baby Got Back sample provides the heart of Nicki‘s track — has watched the video quite a few times and took to Twitter to offer his opinion on what he saw. Yesterday we learned the joyous news that pop star Christina Aguilera and fiancé Matthew Rutler welcomed the birth of their first child together (Xtina‘s second child overall, she had her son Max Liron with ex-husband Jordan Bratman), which we learned earlier this year was a baby girl. Late last night, Xtina updated her official Twitter profile for the first time after she birthed her baby to let the world in on the name she and Matt gave to their daughter. The name is an apt one, I think, as you will see below. More »
So far 7 arrests have been made, one victim shot
I wanted to continue the conversation we started earlier this week, as news of things in Ferguson, Missouri remains troubling. We have a few readers in the area, so please feel free to correct me if any of this information is incorrect or if you have some thing to add. One thing is very clear— the Missouri Governor Jay Nixon has signed an order declaring a state of emergency, and he’s also enforcing a curfew. It all sounds very surreal, but residents must be indoors from 12AM – 5AM. He also admitted that the cops who used tear gas against protesters early Saturday morning did so without his orders. He said they’d be kind enough to stop using tear gas from now on, but we already have footage that may prove otherwise. Click inside for more.

“We will not tolerate abuse of this nature on Twitter"
Trent has been keeping us updated with the news surrounding the death of Robin Williams, and one thing that’s been both beautiful and heartbreaking has been watching his children come forward and make all of these powerful, lovely statements about their father. When a celebrity passes away, it’s easy to focus on what their work meant to you. Like everyone else, I thought about some of my favorite Robin Williams movies (Patch Adams, World’s Greatest Dad, Jakob The Liar, Mrs. Doubtfire), I took to social media for a bit, and eventually—I went back to my life. His children cannot do that right now and I can’t (and also can) imagine what they’re going through. When Zelda Rae Williams announced that she was leaving social media for a while due to cyberbullying, I was actually surprised—I couldn’t believe that people were actually doing the things that I read. There are no words, and that part of loss—the public part—I cannot identify with. Spokespersons for Twitter are now vowing to re-evaluate some of their policies. Click inside for more.
"My family has always been private about our time spent together"
Yesterday we read a very sweet tribute message that Zelda Rae shared on Twitter in memory of the death of her father Robin Williams the day before. Since then, Zelda and her brothers Zak and Cody released longer personal statements in the wake of their father’s death. In response to Zelda‘s tribute, Frances Bean Cobain (the only child of Courtney Love and the late Kurt Cobain) shared a message of support for her on Twitter as well. But, very unfortunately, these personal statements opened up Zelda to horrible abuse by people who inundated her with tasteless jokes about her father’s death. As a result, Zelda has decided to quit social media “for a good long time” altogether. Sigh. The letters shared by Robin Williams‘s children, tho, are exceedingly poignant and worth reading in full below. More »
