Last month we got to see promo stills from the Hannibal season 3 episode titled The Great Red Dragon a week before the episode aired on NBC. Today we get to see the promo stills from the 13th and final episode of Hannibal season 3 which, sadly, has become the series finale episode. The episode titled The Wrath of the Lamb, as you can see in the gallery presented here, will give us our first look at Mads Mikkelsen‘s Dr. Hannibal Lecter wearing his infamous mask. The title is obviously a nod to the most famous Hannibal Lecter story of all time, The Silence of the Lambs, so I think we can guess where the show would have headed if it was able to make it to season 4. Because the series is now finally dead, we may never know where the series was headed but hope is still alive that a feature film starring this cast will come somewhere down the line. Once Hannibal ends its TV run at the end of this month, we will have to imagine how The Wrath of the Lamb eventually connects with The Silence of the Lambs. Hannibal will end on August 29.

She will join Gwen Stefani and Pharrell on season 9
Rihanna may be hard NOT at work on releasing her much anticipated next album … which means she has plenty of time to do other stuff … like appearing on competitive reality TV shows like The Voice. As you may know, Gwen Stefani, Pharrell, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will be the main judges in the upcoming 9th season of the show and today we learn that they will be joined by none other than Rihanna this season. Rihanna won’t appear on The Voice as a judge but she will appear as an advisor to the judges … which means, I think, she will impart her musical knowledge on The Voice judges as they seek to find talent on the show … or something to that effect. A "fresh take" on the "fish-out-of-water tale"
And so, we learn today — once and for all — that all originality is completely gone from this world as we learn that another, totally unnecessary reboot is reportedly in the works. TV Line is reporting that Will Smith‘s production company is in the early stages (and they are emphasizing “early”) of putting together an updated reboot of Smith‘s classic ’90s TV series The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. The early plan, we are being told, is for the “fish-out-of-water” tale that worked so well the first time around is being revamped for a more modern story that will maintain the “spirit” of the original series. I mean, it doesn’t seem all that difficult to take something that you know already worked and tweak it a bit for a “fresh take” and repackage and resell it all over again. It’s neither clever nor inventive, it’s lazy. And it is happening with insane frequency in Hollywood. More »
A damn fine first promo photo
After the public negotiations drama that erupted earlier this year over whether or not director David Lynch would return to helm the much-anticipated Twin Peaks limited sequel series on Showtime, we get our first bit of new information which reminds us that the project is still headed our way. Showtime updated their official Facebook profile with a first promo image for the new Twin Peaks series that brilliantly and mysteriously promotes the show’s return in a subtle and fitting way. Everyone knows that you have to go to Twin Peaks to get a “damn fine cup of coffee” so it makes sense that the first promo image for the sequel series is cleverly coffee-related. More »

"Get ready for worlds to collide"
The season finale of the debut season of The Flash last spring teased the fact that the forthcoming second season of the show on The CW will introduce Earth-Two and DC Comics characters from alternate timelines … including the original, golden age version of The Flash — Jay Garrick. Today we get our first look at what The Flash / Jay Garrick will look like when he appears alongside The Flash / Barry Allen in the new season of The Flash. A promo image that contrasts a comic book cover that features both versions of The Flash with the characters as they will be seen on the show has been released and, as you can see below, it gives us our first look at the superhero speedsters in action. Have a look. More »
"It was a surprise to me ... I wasn't invited"
Jennifer Aniston and her beau Justin Theroux managed to pull off a surprise wedding ceremony here in LA last week and, as you may recall, we heard that Jen invited her Friends friends to celebrate her special day. Today, tho, we learn that Jen didn’t actually invite all of her Friends friends … in fact, she failed to invite any of her male Friends friends to her wedding. People magazine caught up with actors Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing) and Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani) this week and asked them about Jen‘s nuptials last week and learned that neither one was invited to the wedding ceremony (it is not yet known if David Schwimmer [Ross Geller] was invited but I’m pretty sure he didn’t attend) — in spite of the fact that both Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow were invited and did attend the wedding (Courteney, you know, was the Maid of Honor). Both Matthew and Matt had nice things to say about Jen and Justin, even if they were excluded from sharing in their wedding ceremony last week. Awww. More »
“Um, I think I can confirm it"
Back in December, director Tim Burton confirmed that he was working on plans for a sequel film to Beetlejuice and confirmed that Winona Ryder would be returning to reprise her role in the film. Last night, Ryder was a guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers and she was asked if she could confirm that she will be appearing in the Beetlejuice sequel. At first she seemed hesitant but she did go on to re-confirm what Tim Burton had already confirmed by confirming what he already confirmed. So, if you had any lingering doubt as to whether or not Winona Ryder will really be appearing in the forthcoming sequel to Beetlejuice, linger no longer … Winona‘s Beetlejuice 2 casting has now been confirmed twice. Click below to watch video of Ryder‘s appearance on Late Night last night re-confirming what was already confirmed before. More »
He may join The Rock in the movie remake
Back in October of last year, we first learned that plans are in the works to adapt the TV series Baywatch into a feature film with Dwayne The Rock Johnson as the lead. Today we learn that plans for the film are still unfolding with the news that actor Zac Efron is now in negotiations to star in the movie with The Rock. To be honest, this sounds like the perfect movie for Zac. Baywatch is by no means a serious story and all Zac really needs to be able to do is run on the beach wearing red swim trunks. As far as I’m concerned, he deffo deserves a part in the movie. More »

Program of the Year!
I can safely say that I never thought I’d see this day. So far 2015 has brought us some incredible TV moments from shows like Mad Men, Game of Thrones, The Good Wife, Empire and more. I suspected that Empire would be a breakout hit, but I also thought I’d get bored, and I wouldn’t make it to the end of the first season. Totally wrong. I totally made it, and I kind of loved it. But was it a better show than Mad Men? Or Transparent? Or Game of Thrones? According to the Television Critics Association, hell yes! Click inside for more!
