Scarlett Johansson Calls Motherhood ‘Very Magical – And Exhausting’

"It’s very overwhelming."

Back in September we learned that Scarlett Johansson and Romain Dauriac, whom ScarJo secretly married back in October, gave birth to her first child and today we learn that she opened up about motherhood to Barbara Walters for her interview featured in the upcoming TV special The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2014 which will air on ABC this Sunday night. New mom Scarlett reveals that motherhood is “very magical” but she also confesses that it is “exhausting” and “overwhelming” — breaking news, folks! But, since I get the feeling that ScarJo has absolutely ZERO interest in sharing much about her newborn child Rose Dorothy with the world, it looks like this interview with Barbara Walters is pretty much all we’re going to get. SyFy Is Adapting A Superman Prequel Series Titled ‘Krypton’

It'll be like the 'Gotham' version of the Superman story

In the wake of the success of the Batman prequel series Gotham, which is airing on Fox this season, the decision has been to move forward with production of a similar prequel series for the Superman character. The SyFy network and screenwriter David S. Goyer have partnered to create a TV show that will focus on life on Superman‘s home planet of Krypton … before it exploded. The show will be centered on Superman‘s grandfather, which means the series can live for two generations of characters before it would have to end. Click below to learn more. More »

With only a handful of episodes left until the end of The Colbert Report on Comedy Central, host Stephen Colbert is pulling out all the stops to ensure that his faux news show goes out on a high note. As such, Colbert invited President Barack Obama to appear on The Colbert Report to not only be interviewed but to take over the whole damn show. Nonetheless, the absolute last episode of Sons of Anarchy will air tomorrow night and then … that’s it, dunzo, over. Click the embed above to see the promo for the series finale episode of SOA then click below to watch a special video message to fans from star Charlie Hunnam. More »

Watch: Here Is The Ferguson Skit That ‘Saturday Night Live’ Didn’t Air This Weekend

HMMM
Cut For Time

Yesterday we saw video from this past weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live and today we get to see video of a skit that didn’t air Saturday night because it was cut for time. The premise of this skit focuses on two morning TV anchors trying to report on fun, fluffy news in St. Louis, MO as protests rage in nearby Ferguson, MO. Whether it was really cut for time or not, maybe it’s a good idea that this skit didn’t air on national TV Saturday night.

Mark Hamill Will, Once Again, Portray The Trickster On ‘The Flash’

He is reprising his role from the 1990 version of 'The Flash'

Back in 1990, when the original superhero TV series The Flash debuted on television, Star Wars actor Mark Hamill appeared on the show as the villain The Trickster. Altho the show was short-lived, Hamill‘s brilliant Joker-like performance as The Trickster caught the attention of producers of Batman: The Animated Series and cast his voice in the role of The Joker. Cut to the new TV series The Flash currently on The CW and news today that Hamill will reprise his role as The Trickster in an upcoming episode of the new TV show. To me, this is absolutely inspired casting news!!! More »

Old Wars
There's always room for another parody video

I mean … everyone else put out a parody video for Star Wars: The Force Awakens so why not Saturday Night Live? Honestly, it’s a pretty funny clip, which is rare for SNL. Enjoy.

Let’s Discuss The 5 Best TV Shows Of The Year

PITNB's Weekly Discussion Forum

Earlier this week I had to endure one of the most exhausting, intense and fun assignments ever, as Assistant TV Editor at Paste. All of our writers sent in their ballots for the top 20 TV shows of the year, and I have to tally them up, rank them, and assign blurbs accordingly. But here was the best part—getting down to the wire and seeing which shows finally made the cut. It was grueling, and I was bummed when I saw that my personal favorite—Transparent— was nowhere near the #1 spot, but then was pacified when I saw that it made the top 10. I loved seeing all of the different Top 20 choices from our writers there, and I’ve been wanting to hear about what all of you are watching, so click inside for more!

Watch: This New Trailer Reminds Us That ‘Vikings’ Season 3 Returns In February

"The world will be ours"
"When the ice finally breaks"

WAY back in July we got our first look at the first trailer for the forthcoming third season of Vikings on the History Channel and today we get to see a second trailer that reminds us that the show will return in just a couple of months. Vikings is one of my fave TV shows so I am really anxious for its return in February. Click the embed above to watch this new trailer … it may be short but it’s pretty damn good, nonetheless.
