"Who's going to Vegas with me?"
Earlier this week, Jennifer Lopez formally announced that she will be the next pop star to take up concert residency in Las Vegas starting next year and today on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she delivered a performance of her greatest hits that gives us a taste of what we can expect when we see her show at the Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino starting in January 2016. J. Lo performed a medley of her biggest hits with enough Vegas flavor that you’d be hard pressed to see this performance and not want to rush right out and get tix to see Lopez in LV next year. Wow. I was lucky enough to see Jennifer Lopez in concert a few years ago and I can assure you, La Diva Latina KILLS it on the stage. I am really looking forward to seeing her in Vegas next year … are you?

Season 4, Episode 22
As you all know, Scandal and I have hit a bit of a rough patch. It’s perfectly normal for a fan to go through a period like this. While I loved the Season Four opener (which gave us Olivia and Jake on the beach enjoying their sexy, sexy seclusion time), and I really enjoyed the kidnapping storyline (and some of the fantastic directing that came with those episodes), I started losing interest with all of the B613 starts and stops. And, well, I’ve stressed over and over again how much that “Lawn Chair” episode just turned me off. So I went into the season finale hoping for a glimpse of the Scandal I fell in love with—desperate for a few sparks to get me psyched for Season Five. And I’m happy to say that, although “You Can’t Take Command” wasn’t necessarily a perfect installment, I definitely felt those sparks flying again. Click inside for more!

"We wish him the best of luck with whatever he gets up to."
Last week we learned of the very sad, very public Twitter feud that erupted between former One Direction member Zayn Malik and continuing 1D member Louis Tomlinson over a photo that was posted online. Today, we get to see video of a new interview with the members of One Direction that they gave to James Corden on The Late Late Show last night. In their chat, the 1D lads spoke about their feelings regarding Zayn‘s decision to leave the group (“At first we were a little bit angry. We were surprised.“) as well as Louis‘s now-settled Twitter beef with Zayn (“It’s all good in the hood.“) in an effort to put the drama behind them. In addition to their interview chat, the members of 1D played a bit of dodgeball with Corden on the show … which you can watch below. More »
Cosby will address students later today
At present, more than 40 women have accused Bill Cosby of rape and/or sexual assault over course of the last year or so but going back 30+ years into his career. Earlier today, Cosby made an appearance on Good Morning America to address those allegations in a very bizarre manner that didn’t really address the allegations at all. Cosby is scheduled to deliver remarks to a group of students in Alabama later today and the expectation is that his participation at and event called March for Education will cause some controversy … because he has been accused by so many women of assault and has yet to actually discuss those allegations. His appearance on GMA was meant, I think, to diffuse some of that controversy … but after hearing his remarks below, it appears he has only made the situation more confusing. More »

"In the future, none of you are heroes ... you're legends"
Back in March we learned that Hawkgirl would be one of the new characters included in the upcoming superhero spin-off series based on characters from The CW superhero shows Arrow and The Flash and today we get our first look at that new series, titled DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. The trailer embedded above gives us our first look at the series and informs us a bit about what the show will be all about. Not only does it give us our first look at Hawkgirl (played by Ciarra Renee) but it also reveals that ex-Black Canary / Sarah Lance (played by Caity Lotz) will live on as the resurrected White Canary (thank Ra’s Al Ghul for his Lazarus Pit) … AND, it gives us our first look at Atom (played by Brandon Routh) shrinking down to miniature size for the first time (which was hinted at in last night’s season finale episode of Arrow). Also in the mix are Firestorm (played by Robbie Amell and Victor Garber), Captain Cold (played by Wentworth Miller) and Heatwave (played by Dominic Purcell). The trailer also reveals that this rag tag team of heroes and villains have been culled together by Rip Hunter (played by Arthur Darvill), a time-traveling rogue that will take this team through all points of time to fight bad guys … like Vandal Savage. Watch the trailer … see what you think. There is a lot going on. It’ll be interesting to see if this ensemble cast of superheroes can work together to bring us a TV show worth watching.
Let's TRY and forget that awful 'Jem' movie trailer
Earlier this week, as I’m sure you are painfully aware, the first trailer for the Jem and the Holograms live-action movie was released and confirmed my fears that the movie adaptation would ruin our memories of the original ’80s cartoon. Ugh. And so, I am reminded of a #ThrowbackThursday post I wrote about a year ago that gathered together 21 of my favorite music videos from the Jem and the Holograms cartoon series (1985-1988) … which I am re-sharing today in an effort to REMIND YOU ALL how brilliantly perfect the original cartoon remains and to, hopefully, try and help you forget the travesty that will be the live-action Jem movie coming this fall. The videos below feature Jem, The Holograms, Synergy, THE MISFITS and actual cartoon holograms … the things that make the Jem story so great (and are missing from the live-action movie). Please, click through the videos below and SEE how amazing Jem and the Holograms was, is and will forever be no matter what crappy movies come our way and try to steal our love for Jem. Please, enjoy.
"Isn't it time you discovered 'Hannibal'?"
Thus far we have seen a couple of promo trailers for the forthcoming third season of Hannibal coming to NBC in June (including a pretty sweet promo trailer from Korea) and today … we get to see a new trailer with new season 3 footage. The teaser embedded above features lots of critical acclaim heaped on the show (including a 100% rating from Rotten Tomatoes) as well as a few new scenes from the new season of the show. I am literally counting down the days until Hannibal season 3 premieres on NBC on June 4. I implore you to get caught up and watch this show. Truly, it is one of the best shows on TV right now. Swear.

Mr. Burns, Ned Flanders, Waylon Smithers, Principal Skinner all in jeopardy
Wow. Last week it was announced that the long running animated series The Simpsons was renewed for a record-breaking 27th and 28th season and it was also announced last week that all of the main voice actors had signed new contracts for the show … except for one. At the time, it wasn’t revealed which voice actor was holding out but today … we know. Harry Shearer, the voice actor who gives life to characters like Montgomery Burns, Ned Flanders, Waylon Smithers and Principal Skinner, has been let go from the show. Both Shearer and Simpsons showrunner Al Jean have confirmed the news that he has been let go from the show … but Jean promises that the characters Shearer voiced will live on … with someone else providing the voices. Ugh. More »
