"There’s a misconception that Carrie was a victim of him"
Now that there are rumors of a new Sex and the City movie on the horizon, everyone seems to have SaTC on the mind … so it’s only natural that actor Chris Noth would be asked about his time on the series in an interview promoting his new role on The Good Wife (which I hear is an amazing show, right Shannon?). For the most part, Chris has very smart things to say about SaTC and its characters — things that I agree with — but he goes on to say that Carrie Bradshaw was “a whore” because of the “many boyfriends” she had over the course of the series. This particular statement, I wholeheartedly do not agree with. More »

His Purple Majesty Prince has signed on to be the musical guest for an upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live and comedian Chris Rock (an SNL alum) has been tapped to serve as host. This, surely, has to be the best news I’ve heard all week. Dr. Funkenberry, always on point with the Prince scoops, reports that Rock and Prince, with new group 3rdEyeGirl in tow, will take over Saturday Night Live on November 1. People, there aren’t enough WOOT!s in the world to convey my happiness at hearing this news. More »
This is a bona fide TRAVESTY
Ugh. For years now, uninspired producers have been mining properties from the past in order to reboot them for a new generation to capitalize from. Books, TV shows and movies from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s have been retooled and revamped in new modern incarnations, usually in pretty bad ways. Today we learn that the ’80s toy/cartoon Rainbow Brite has been reimagined as a new animated TV series which looks so painfully bad that I cringe even thinking about the horror that YOU will feel when you watch the trailer above. Trust me, I feel your pain … I’ve already watched it and I hate my eyes for what they have seen. This new version of Rainbow Brite is such shit that, except for the fact that actress Molly Ringwald voices the villain, I can’t even think of one positive thing to say about it. But, in order to see that I am not exaggerating, you have to watch the trailer above and see what they have done to Rainbow Brite … then you can cleanse your palette below by watching a FULL episode of the original ’80s cartoon version of Rainbow Brite. After the season 4 premiere episode of American Horror Story set a new record last week, we learn today that the show has been renewed for a 5th season by FX. You may also recall that FX picked up a companion series from creator Ryan Murphy titled American Crime Story, so it should come as no surprise at all the network is enamored of Murphy‘s show. Ryan was very confident that AHS would be coming back for another season because he says he planted clues in the early eps of Freak Show that if deciphered will reveal the setting of next season’s story. Today, it’s official … American Horror Story will return with a 5th season next year. More »
Season 5, Episode 1
Last night, the AMC series The Walking Dead returned with its season 5 premiere episode and it was so damn good that I am compelled to offer up a recap post so that WE can talk about the episode in detail. The Walking Dead as a series has had its ups and downs over the years and I almost gave up watching the show around season 3. Thankfully, things picked up and season 4 was probably the best season of the series thus far. Which brings us to last night’s season 5 premiere episode which I believe, hands down, was the best episode of The Walking Dead that has ever aired. Click below to discuss last night’s episode, No Sanctuary, and beware that this is your SPOILER ALERT WARNING. More »

The full song is released tomorrow
Taylor Swift is about to unleash a new song from her new album but before she does so, she is teasing us today with a short snippet of the track to get us excited. Out of the Woods is Taylor‘s new song and this morning on Good Morning America, a short portion of what sounds like the chorus was previewed on national television. It has been suggested that Out of the Woods is a song that Taylor wrote about her relationship with Harry Styles of One Direction … so once the song is released in full tomorrow, a proper dissection of the song’s lyrics can be undertaken to determine the validity of that claim. Click above to hear this short sample of Out of the Woods. Does this clip make you excited to hear the full song tomorrow?
Let's discuss the greatest show/televised feminist movement on Earth
This season of The Good Wife has been incredible, but last night’s episode, “Oppo Research” was full of so much slayage, I felt like I never wanted to watch another television drama. Including Scandal. I’m sorry, I’m NOT sorry. The real, true excitement I felt last night was something I haven’t felt in so long/maybe ever. Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) has been toying with the idea of running for State’s Attorney, but last night ish got real. And I need to talk about it! Obviously, I am about to drop HELLA, HELLA SPOILERS, so if you watched the episode, click inside for more!
