"When the ice finally breaks we will go back to Wessex ..."
Way back in July we got to see the first trailer for the forthcoming third season of Vikings, which will premiere next month on The History Channel on February 19, and last month, we got to check out a second, less exciting trailer for the show. Today we get to see the third trailer for the show and it’s a trailer that fans are gonna wanna watch. Vikings is one of my fave shows and I’m really anxious for its return. As you can see in the trailer above, the coming season will be full of story. We don’t see a lot of action but that’s totally fine by me. The show really hit its stride in season 2 and I’m really looking forward to seeing where things go when Vikings returns for season 3 in just a few weeks.

Beyond Fear, Find Hope
Earlier this month we got to see the first trailer for the forthcoming second half of the current 5th season of The Walking Dead and today we get to see the just-released second trailer for TWD season 5, part 2. This new trailer shows new footage from the coming episodes, cut together in an eerie fashion meant to tease viewers to watch. I mean, yeah, it’s a teaser trailer so … In any event, new episodes of The Walking Dead won’t premiere on AMC until February 8 so we still have some waiting left to do but the show will return in short order. Mark your calendars, you don’t want to miss the return of The Walking Dead.

The Michael Kors blazer everyone's talking about
This is such a fun story to report. First of all, I’m going to make yet another bold statement about The Good Wife: if you are still not watching this show, and you watch any other television shows, we simply cannot be friends. I’m working on a piece right now (in my head, granted) about how the show is both radically feminist, and radically pro-black, based on a number of things, but especially the most recent episode. It is just the best friggen show, and I love that the writers are using their platform to make bold, important statements. So, I was thrilled to see that the series inadvertently got a shouts-out when Michelle Obama wore a very memorable Michael Kors dress that Julianna Margulies‘ Alicia Florrick rocked a few episodes back. 'The Strain' returns this summer
Last summer, FX scared the Hell out of us with their adaptation of Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan‘s novel The Strain and today we learn that they are already hard at work, ready to scare the hell out of us again this summer with the show’s second season. Altho The Strain book series is a trilogy, I’m guessing that the TV series will be longer than just 3 seasons. The Strain season 2 will likely tell more of the story from book one … I’m guessing. Click the embed above to watch this new teaser for the upcoming second season of The Strain and get ready! The Master returns … and he looks hungry.

Time for me to catch up!
Ahhh, these pictures remind me that some day soon, I just have to sit down, shut out the entire world, and catch up on Revenge! I am at least a whole season behind, and I have no clue what’s going on in the Hamptons. I have caught snippets of the show here and there, so I know about some of the big changes, but for the most part I’m out of the loop. For those of you who are still watching, there are some exciting new guest stars headed your way—and one of them is a real, live, Real Housewife. Click inside for more!
An open, social forum on race, and the lessons we learn early on
Today at 9AM MTV is going to try something different. I’ll be the first to say that there’s plenty of criticism to be offered up to the network. But shows like True Life and even The Real World are evidence of the fact that MTV has always tried to incorporate culturally significant conversations into its entertainment. In celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. day, MTV will, for the first time ever, be shown in black-and-white all day (or, until 9PM) as a part of #TheTalk—a program set up to spark dialogue about race and the lessons we are all taught from an early age. Kendrick Lamar, Pete Wentz, Rick Ross, Penn Badgley, Big Sean, Common, Jordin Sparks, and other celebrities will be joining in. Click inside to learn more!
