Third Time's the Charmer

It looks like the forthcoming 2012 Tony Awards will, once again, be must-see this year because they have just announced that actor Neil Patrick Harris has signed on to host the show again. NPH previously hosted the Tonys two times before and managed to do a fantastic job both times. Clearly the Tonys want people to watch their show again so, naturally, they went after Neil as host. Watch: George Clooney And Brad Pitt Star In A Live Broadcast Reading Of The Marriage Equality Play ’8′

Hollywood Gets Serious About Marriage Equality

With George Clooney and Brad Pitt as two of the starring actors, the play “8″ debuted on Saturday night in L.A. Not only were George and Brad in it, but there was a whole lot of other A-list actors involved including Martin Sheen, Jamie Lee Curtis, Kevin Bacon, Jane Lynch, John C. Reilly, Chris Colfer and Matthew Bomer. The theater production, which was really a fairly improvised live reading, was broadcast live as well. The play is an account of the case filed by the American Federation for Equal Rights in the U.S. District Court in 2010 to overturn Proposition 8, a constitutional amendment that eliminated the rights of same-sex couples to marry in the state of California. Nick Jonas Makes His Broadway Debut In ‘How To Succeed In Business’

Taking Over for Darren Criss

There is a new J. Pierrepont Finch on Broadway these days … and his name is Nick Jonas. As you may recall, we said goodbye to Daniel Radcliffe as the lead of the Broadway show How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying … and then we said hello to his replacement Darren Criss. Criss was only able to perform the lead role for 3 weeks before he had to be back in LA to go back to work on Glee … so Nick Jonas has stepped in as the new, semi-permanent lead. Click below to check out photos from Nick‘s opening night on Broadway in How to Succeed last night and say hello to the newest J. Pierrepont Finch! More »

Kylie Also Takes in a Cirque Show

Kylie Minogue, the Australian Goddess of Pop, shared an amazing photo on her official Twitter profile today that was snapped on the set of a photoshoot session for her new fragrance Dazzling Darling. I am presuming that Kylie is here in LA because she was in town last weekend to see the new Cirque Du Soleil show Iris … but it’s possible she has already jetted off to some far off locale for this particular photoshoot. Kylie looks freakin’ fabulous as ever so this photo is must see. Also, click below to check out a couple of cute photos of Kylie posing with the Cirque du Soleil cast of Iris here in Hollywood last weekend. More »

Another Restless ‘Sleep’

The TV Guide

Last night was my 7th visit to the amazing Broadway show Sleep No More and it was, I have to tell you, another fantastic night of immersive theater. I was able to see new things and some of my favorite scenes from different perspectives. As far as I can tell right now, I think I’ve seen the show enough times to be satisfied ;) I went to the show last night with my friend Kanani and we honestly had the best time ever. More »

Night Of The Apparitions

The TV Guide

Last night I attended my 7th performance of the SIMPLY BRILLIANT off Broadway show Sleep No More. Just like Thursday night’s show, last night’s performance was Hallowe’en themed … called Night of the Apparitions. Audience members were required to wear all white, which added to the show’s ominous appearance. Once again, even tho it was my 7th performance, I had an amazingly wonderful time. I experienced NEW stuff I had yet to see and, again, was gifted with a few baubles from members of the cast. I also got to meet some of the actors after the show AND I got to hang out with a fabulous Pink reader named Elizabeth. It really was a fantastic night. More »

The Darkest Shadow

The TV Guide

So, last night I attended my first Hallowe’en edition of the immersive off Broadway show Sleep No More (my 6th performance overall) and I have to say, it was deffo among my fave experiences of the bunch. The night was themed The Darkest Shadow and attendees were required to wear all black outfits. I was very pleased to discover that the show was changed slightly for the night’s performance and, as a result, I was able to enjoy a new, very fun experience. It’s because of how awesome last night’s performance was that I keep coming back for more. More »

Watch: P!nk Performs ‘Summertime’ At ‘Sleep No More’ In NYC

This past weekend, singer P!nk attended a performance of the amazing immersive theatrical experience Sleep No More and at one point became part of the show. P!nk jumped up on stage at the Manderlay Bar inside the Sleep No More theater and performed the classic song Summertime with one of the show’s performers. It’s unclear if P!nk rehearsed the song or just winged it but in either case, she sounded pretty damn fantastic. Click below to check it out. More »
