Now, for some reason, People chose not to put their interview with SMG and hubby FPJ online … but in the mag, SMG reveals that she went into labor while she was at the gym! At first, she didn’t believe that she was actually going into labor and FPJ reveals that she initially thought the rumble in her belly was from the spicy dinner she ate the night before :) SMG confesses that she decided to get an epidural for her delivery and enjoyed a totally pain-free birth … FPJ adds that after 3 pushes, Charlotte Grace came into the world. The couple also reveal that the birth of their child has equalized them immensely … they are now so focused on taking care of their baby girl that all other frantic stuff in their lives is now normalized and, as a result, better handled. Samantha Burke has shown off five-week-old Sophia Lee, her daughter by actor Jude Law, for the first time. The glowing 25-year-old brunette posed for a glossy photoshoot at her Florida home for Hello! magazine, with her baby, who was born weighing just 5lb 12oz after mother Samantha suffered a 25-hour labour. But despite DNA results proving the actor is the father of Burke’s child following a brief relationship, she revealed he has not yet visited his fourth child. Jude is currently wowing audiences on New York’s Broadway with his spellbinding performance in Hamlet. But it seems that his first glimpse of the child he has confirmed he is the father of will come at the same time as the rest of the world. Miss Burke, who reportedly earned £185,000 for the photoshoot, said: ‘She’s already got such a great personality. I think he’ll fall in love with her when he sees her.’ Describing Sophia, Samantha said she looks more like her famous father, and is already showing signs of sharing his mannerisms. ‘Her features are more like Jude’s. She has his chin and nose, and she does a little pout that I notice that he’s done before. I think her eyes are more like mine, though. ‘You can’t always tell when they’re so young but they don’t have that big, glassy look that his do – mine are a little smaller and more like hers.’ In a revealing interview, Miss Burke tells how she met Jude at a club in New York, and that the devoted father of three children – Rafferty, 13, Iris, nine, and Rudy, seven with ex-wife Sadie Frost – has not yet travelled to meet Sophia. ‘There are no plans for it to happen at the moment, but I know he’s busy.’ Asked if she had received any presents from Jude, who demanded a DNA test a few months ago, the former model admitted: ‘No nothing.’ She also revealed her hopes for her daughter’s relationship with the actor, who will soon be seen in Guy Ritchie’s film Sherlock Holmes. She said: ‘I hope for him to be just as good as he is to his three children by Sadie Frost. He’s a great father to his three kids. She’s his daughter and I believe he’ll come through. I mean once you see her face, how can you deny it?’ She also denied claims that she is a ‘gold-digger’, insisting: ‘It really hurt. I have never dated a guy for money. All my ex-boyfriends were just normal guys.’ A spokesman for Law acknowledged the pregnancy in a statement released in July after reports surfaced in the media that Burke was expecting. ‘Jude Law can confirm that, following a relationship last year, he has been advised that he is to be the father of a child due in the fall of this year,’ the actor’s representative said. ‘Mr Law is no longer in a relationship with the individual concerned but he intends to be a fully supportive part of the child’s life. This is an entirely private matter and no other statements will be made.’

There ain’t no denying that little Sophia Lee is a precious and beautiful baby. Whatever the circumstances of her conception, she is an adorable little miracle and should be treated as such. While I can’t say that I necessarily blame mama Burke for selling the photos to Hello! magazine, I do hope that she is smart with the money and socks it away for her daughter should papa Jude Law not step up and care for this child like he does for his other children. It’s really crappy for this innocent little girl that her famous father seems to want nothing to do with her … like it’s her fault :( In the end, I wish everyone involved the best of luck … this is not an ideal situation by any means. Sophia Lee is just the cutest little thing … may she live a long and happy life full of LOVE from her family. Six weeks after welcoming their first son, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden – along with their 21-month-old daughter Harlow – are showing off the latest addition to their family, Sparrow James Midnight Madden. “I couldn’t be happier,” Richie tells PEOPLE. “The only thing you want is for your kids to be healthy and happy, and they are. I’m right where I belong.” In an interview at their home in Laurel Canyon in Los Angeles, Richie, 28, and Madden, 30, her boyfriend and front man of the band Good Charlotte, say they are deprived of sleep, but grateful their daughter Harlow is now fawning over a baby brother. “I’m glad I had a girl before I had a boy,” says Richie. “She just loves him so much.” Adds the children’s proud papa, “She’s very gentle with him.”

Um … I have to admit that I really love Matthew with his bird. It’s such an odd thing to see a man and his bird just out in public … you can understand how sometimes that could be off-putting. As far as celeb pets go, I think McConaughey’s Sun Conure is my new fave.

Motherhood definitely seems to agree with Jennifer Hudson, who gave birth to her first child, David – named after her fiancé, David Otunga – on Aug. 10. “I love being nurturing and caring because I love to see other people happy,” says Hudson. “Who better to devote my time to than my own child?” From singing lullabies (”He can be crying at the top of his lungs and just turn off like a switch”) to frequent bottle-feedings (”I’ve never seen a baby eat like he does!”), the singer (who chose not to address the tragic loss of her family members last October) offers PEOPLE an intimate look into her new life as a mom.

Would you be supportive if he wants to pursue a career in entertainment?
“We’ll definitely encourage education. His father is an education fanatic so we definitely want him to get an education and go to school. My mom always said, ‘Whatever you want to do, I’ll support you as long as you’re happy.’ So I will do the same.”

He is so precious … mother and son look so adorably cute!! J. Hud did a great job of keeping her pregnancy underwraps, we didn’t know for sure she was pregs until about 2 months before her due date. Hollywood actress Katherine Heigl has issued the first photo of her newly-adopted daughter. The intimate picture shows the 30-year-old star in a close, loving embrace with husband, Josh Kelley, and 10-month-old Nancy Leigh, or ‘Naleigh’. Naleigh is a special needs baby, born in South Korea and she is named after Katherine’s mother Nancy and sister, Margaret Leigh. An insider told American magazine Us Weekly the fact that Katherine’s new baby has special needs will not be an issue. The insider said: ‘They are thrilled to have a child in their lives, no matter what the challenges.’ At this stage it is not quite clear exactly what Naleigh’s special needs are. Katherine completed the adoption of her new daughter this week after revealing she was soon to be a mother on Ellen DeGeneres’ chat show just last week. She revealed Naleigh’s special needs actually made the adoption process much quicker. Katherine told Ellen: ‘She is a special needs baby and because of that, it all moved so much faster. ‘They wanted to get her to us as quickly as possible.’ Heigl’s own sister was also adopted from Korea, and she said it’s something she had always wanted to do. In fact, the Knocked Up star admitted she was so set on adoption that she even made sure hubby Josh was ok with adoption before they were engaged. She said: ‘I just wanted to make sure that I was marrying a guy who understood that that was going to have to happen.’ Her spokesperson said: ‘Katherine, Josh and Naleigh are together and doing well.’

What a beautiful story … it’s always a joy to see new parents united with new children, whether those children are born or adopted into their new families. Is he a Broadway baby in the making? Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel offered fans a glimpse of son Walker, 2 weeks, in a family portrait released Tuesday. Walker – the first child for the Rent stars – was born on Sept. 2. Menzel and Diggs, both 38, met while starring in the 1996 Broadway production of Rent. They wed in January 2003.

What a beautiful baby boy … and a gorgeous family! A baby born of such talented stock is sure to be a sensation when he’s all grown up. Much, much love and congrats goes out to the happy family. While I realize that little Walker is only 2 weeks old, I hope Idina and Taye are planning on making more babies … cuz it’d be a shame if the world was gifted with only one adorable Menzel-Diggs baby. OMG, so cute. When last we saw the J. Lo twins, Max & Emme, they were chillin’ with their moms on the SoCal set of her new film The Back-Up Plan (you may recall we saw cute pics of little Max walking). After all that hard work, I guess it was time for a vacay. J. Lo’s babies are gettin’ awfully cute … isn’t it such a relief that they are taking after their mother?

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are playing show and tell. On Monday, the couple, who greeted twin daughters Marion and Tabitha June 23, released a picture of the beautiful new additions to their family. The girls, born via a surrogate, were joined by their older brother, James Wilkie, 6 ½.
