The LA Galaxy Wins The 2011 MLS Championship

5 years after global soccer superstar David Beckham moved to the US to play professional soccer for the LA Galaxy, the Los Angeles soccer team FINALLY managed to secure a Major League Soccer Championship! The Galaxy took on the Houston Dynamo for the championship title at the Home Depot Center here in Carson, CA last night and managed to end the 2011 season with a big win. Galaxy captain (and game MVP) Landon Donovan had the honor of scoring the winning goal, handing the LA Galaxy the championship title that they’ve been looking for (ever since Becks joined the team). Considering last night was Becks‘s final game for the Galaxy of his 5 year contract, he couldn’t have hoped for a better ending. Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez Get Smoochy In Winnipeg

When last we saw photos here on the blog of lovebirds Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez together in public, the pair were lookin’ all cozy and smoochy on a beach in Malibu, CA last month. Today we get to see new photos of the pair in Canada lookin’ all KINDS of affectionate with one another at a hockey game in Winnipeg, Manitoba over the weekend. Selena accompanied Justin back to his Canadian homeland and the pair decided to take in a Winnipeg Jets hockey game … and while some of the night’s action took place on the ice, most of the action took place in Justena‘s private box. Harper Seven may still be a wee little baby but she’s not too small that she can’t root for her daddy David Beckham at one of his soccer games. Harper was spotted in the arms of mommy Victoria Beckham in the Beckham family box at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA where she was cheering on the LA Galaxy to victory. Everyone knows that soccer stud David Beckham is a world class athlete … but today we get to see cute photos of him in a different light … in the role of athletic supporter. I think it’s a pretty safe assumption that one of Becks‘s 4 children — Brooklyn Joseph, Romeo James, Cruz David and/or Harper Seven — will follow his footsteps into the world of professional sports … and it looks like it might be little Cruz to do so. Becks was on hand to support his youngest son at one of his soccer games this weekend. An exciting new rumor is going around today that claims that Madonna will be the featured musical performer for the halftime show at the upcoming Super Bowl XLVI next year. This report comes from a football fansite and the news has not yet been confirmed … but, considering Madonna is readying the release of a new album early next year (right around the time of the Super Bowl game), it sounds like an entirely plausible possibility. David Beckham Loses His Cool On The Soccer Field

I cannot claim to know everything about the sport of soccer but I think I have a pretty good understanding of the basic concepts and rules of the game. Soccer superstar David Beckham, on the other hand, prolly knows the ins and outs of the game better than most … and last night, during gameplay, he got really REALLY upset about a call made by a game referee. As you can see in the photos below, Becks got rootin’ tootin’ MAD … so made that he tugged on his shorts like a little boy throwing a temper tantrum … all of this in front of a stadium full of spectators, including his 3 young sons. Jason Momoa Goes Paddleboarding In Hawaii

Conan the Barbarian star Jason Momoa made his way back to his native hometown in Hawaii this weekend and was spotted doing a bit of paddleboarding in the ocean. Paddleboarding requires a specially designed longboard, a paddle … and not much clothing … which is why it can be a pretty cool sport to watch … especially when a beefy hot dude like Jason is boarding. David Beckham and the LA Galaxy took to the field yesterday to play a soccer match against the San Jose Earthquakes at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA last night and, as you can see from the photos below, he not only played ball with his Galaxy teammates … but he also played with himself … er, played ball, that is. Tho it should be noted that Becks‘s ball-playing wasn’t the most important thing to happen during last night’s game. The LA Galaxy welcomed new teammate Robbie Keane … who scored his first Galaxy goal 21 minutes into the game! More »

Last week we got a teeny, tiny peek at David Beckham‘s newest tattoo which was presumed to be in honor of his newborn daughter Haper Seven. Today, we get to see the tattoo in full and, yes, it reads Harper in a script font. Becks unveiled his new ink at the LA Galaxy vs. FC Dallas soccer match last night when he whipped off his jersey at the game’s completion (the Galaxy won 3-1, in case you care). Additionally, mama Victoria Beckham posted an ADORABLE new photo of Harper nuzzling her daddy on VB‘s official Twitter profile. Click below to see both photos. More »
