Pete & Peggy feels upon feels
Last night was a mess. I nearly had a heart attack when I realized that The Good Wife had stopped recording on my DVR and I’d missed the last 10 minutes, but I saw enough to know that we lost someone really special. So by the time I switched over to Mad Men, I was already more emotional than anyone should probably be at 10 PM on a Sunday. And then came the feels—feels upon feels, upon feels. Mommy feels, career feels, Pete and Peggy feels. I honestly cried, like, two separate times because I was still reeling from The Good Wife, and because I’m a crazy person who feels emotionally attached to fictional characters. Whatever. Click inside for more! And yes, expect SPOILERS!
If you saw last night’s incredible, amazing Mad Men episode, you are likely still reeling from that amazingness that is this final season. So many great things happened last night, but there was one particular storyline that felt like a really special treat for those of us who can still quote lines from Season One by heart. If you didn’t catch “The Forecast” last night, THE SPOILER OF YOUR LIFE is inside, but if you did watch it, click inside for more because OMFG GLENNNNNNNN!
This show is kind of... awesome
I hadn’t made plans to watch the new FOX post-apocalyptic comedy The Last Man On Earth, and then I started reading all of this buzz about it. One of our editors at Paste Magazine wrote an essay about it when the show first premiered, and finally one day I decided to watch the first few episodes. Totally fell in love, totally can’t stop watching. It’s a nice, light-hearted (but still really funny and fascinating) alternative to my top special shows (The Good Wife, Scandal, Mad Men, etc.). All of that to say, why aren’t you watching this show with me?! Click inside for more (also, if you’re really not watching, SPOILERS AHEAD)!
Plus, last night's episode = everything
So here is how I handled my very special Mad Men Sunday. As you all know, I basically refused to talk about anything else. I got all hyped up on Twitter and Instagram. I watched a bunch of episodes from all of the seasons (TOTALLY forgot about that hilarious short story Pete wrote in Season One… OMG I love this show). And then I worked and cooked and put the baby to bed early so I could be all ready to sit back and… fall asleep at 8:45. Oh yes. I am that lady. I woke up at 1:00 AM, died inside and then had a fabulous time watching The Good Wife and then Mad Men. So many feels, so effing good. And Instagram newbie Elisabeth Moss has a really fantastic spoiler for an upcoming episode, so click inside for more!

A panel discussion this weekend for the Showtime series Homeland kicked off the new season of Paley Center panel discussions at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, CA and from the event comes a bunch of really surprising news about the show. Homeland co-creator Alex Gansa revealed some very big news about the forthcoming 5th season of the show that might be considered very spoilery for some people so I’m going to keep the information reveal below the cut. I will tell you that according to Gansa, there will be so many changes in the new season that it may bear little to no resemblance to the show that we’ve come to love over the past 4 seasons. Read forward if you want to know … as a big Homeland fan, I’m glad I know. More »

Meet Indominus Rex
In November we got our first look at the first trailer for the forthcoming sequel film Jurassic World and, as you may recall, that trailer teased the appearance of a new, genetically created dinosaur that will serve as the big bad in the sequel film. On Super Bowl Sunday, we got to see the second trailer for Jurassic World and altho we got to see a tiny bit more about this new dinosaur, we still didn’t get a good look at the dino will look like in the movie. Today, we get our first really good look at this new dinosaur, Indominus Rex, thanks to the Jurassic World toys that are now on display at the 2015 Toy Fair. Click below to see the toy version of the monster dinosaur that will wreak havoc when Jurassic World opens in theaters in June. More »
SPOILER ALERT WARNING
Filming production continues on the Michigan set of the upcoming sequel film Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and today we learn of a MAJOR casting spoiler leak that has been revealed by an extra who broke the confidentiality agreement they signed to appear in the film. Because extras get paid very little money, they are sometimes swayed by the promise of money elsewhere if they divulge secrets from movie sets. For the most part, major spoilers about the overall plot of Dawn of Justice have been kept under wraps but because the movie is still 1 1/2 years away from release, there is plenty of opportunities for spoiler details to come out. Speaking on the condition of anonymity, an extra has revealed to a Detroit-area TV station that a major, previously unannounced, character from the DC Comics universe will be included in Dawn of Justice. We already know that Wonder Woman will be featured in the movie and it’s very likely that Aquaman and The Flash may be featured as well … so there are a LOT of DC characters on tap to appear in the movie. But this new information about another major DC Comics character appearing in the movie is so significant that I fell compelled to pass along the info with all y’all. If you are unconcerned about spoilers and you want to know who the character is, please proceed below. More »
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this movie.
Trent did an amazing job giving a not-so-spoilery review yesterday of Gone Girl. I just read it a minute ago, because I wanted to go into the theatre completely blind last night. Now, I’m going to SPOIL SPOIL SPOIL SPOIL the hell out of this movie right now, so please GO AWAY if you haven’t seen it yet! One thing I told my partna-in-babymaking when we left was that I was so sad that I would never have that experience again—my “first time” with Gone Girl, lol. But really, as much as I can’t wait to watch the movie again, I know it will never be the same. I was having all of these thoughts last night about Rosamund Pike as Amy Dunne, and sex, and sexuality, and sex! And then this morning I found this piece on Gone Girl as “the Latest Film to Showcase Female Pleasure,” and things started to make more sense for me. Female pleasure… is everything, lol.
