First Listen: Beyoncé Features On The New Boots Song ‘Dreams’

Beyoncé‘s BFF producer Boots (who worked on much of Bey‘s new album) has just dropped a single titled Dreams and, wouldn’t you know it, Ms. Bey is featured on the track as well. Beyoncé sings back-up and one verse on dreams but Boots is the real star of this song. The track is a sexy slow jam which should appeal to folks who are into that kind of thing (I’m more of a club-banger, high energy song fan but even I enjoy this song). Have a listen below and get to know Boots. More »

Listen: Drake Releases A New Song That May Contain A Few Rihanna References

'Days in the East'

Drake, Drizzy, Aubrey Graham — whatever you like to call him — just dropped a new song on the Interwebs titled Days in the East and a careful listen to the lyrics of the slowish jam seems to reveal that Drake is making reference to his reportedly ladylove Rihanna. While the title may be a reference to the Scarborough district on the East side of Toronto, he does sing about “waking up in Amsterdam with the boy” (he and Rihanna spent a bit of time in Amsterdam together recently) and also sings “ain’t the first time cause I’ve lost you before” which seems to make reference to the fact that he and Ri Ri were involved before. Click below to hear the song in full and see if you can hear any shout-outs to Rihanna. More »

#FUTBOLNOW

The utterly and completely amazing Janelle Monaé has teamed up with Pepsi to record her own unique cover of David Bowie‘s classic song Heroes for use in the cola company’s #FUTBOLNOW campaign. The idea is to celebrate music and futbol (ie. soccer) with an ad campaign that features musicians and global futbol stars. "Everyone will be computerized"

A previously unreleased (possible demo) Daft Punk song titled Computerized has leaked its way to the Internets and as you can hear below, it features Jay Z on guest vocals. It’s unknown when the song was recorded nor is the song’s production credit known but it is rumored that Kanye West may have had a hand in the song’s creation. The song sounds like it would’ve fit nicely on the Daft Punk soundtrack for the 2010 movie Tron: Legacy but because the song’s recording history is unknown, we can’t be sure what the song was originally intended for. Click below to have a listen to Computerized and hear what Jay Z sounds like when he raps over a Daft Punk track. More »
