The 'Mr. Worldwide Remix'
It turns out that rapper Pitbull is a big fan of Taylor Swift and a huge fan of her song Blank Space specifically and, as such, has decided to put out a remix of her song with his very own guest rap vocal … I’m guessing to totally ruin the song completely. As you can hear below, Pitbull first explains why he was inspired to remix/ruin Taylor‘s song and then he proceeds to get to the song’s ruining by delivering the guest rap vocal that absolutely no one asked for. Curious? Have a listen below and see what you think. More »

XO/Out Of The Woods
What do you get when you take Beyoncé‘s song XO and you mash it up with Taylor Swift‘s song Out Of the Woods? Well, IMHO, you get a pretty amazing new song that works surprisingly well. An industrious fan came up with the brilliant idea to mix these two songs in order to make a new mash-up song that I must admit I’ve been listening to on repeat for the past hour or so. Iggy Azalea is planning to re-release her debut album The New Classic with a bonus track edition titled Reclassified and this new version of the album will include 5 new songs. Today we get to hear 2 of those 5 new songs in full. The video above is titled Beg For It and it features the Danish singer MØ on vocals (I understand that Charli XCX was originally meant to provide the vocals for the song but MØ‘s version won out for the album re-release). Click below to hear Iggy‘s other new song titled Iggy SZN (which is pronounced season) to get another taste of the new music that Azalea is dropping on her Reclassified album. More »
We are SO not ready.
When I saw that Jaden Smith’s music had made it to Paste Magazine the other day, my heart kinda sunk to the floor. THIS KID IS EVERYWHERE NOW, OFFICIALLY. So today I caved, and finally listened to the track I’d been hearing some buzz about, Melancholy, in which Jaden raps over the 1973 Pink Floyd song, Breathe. Okay. Fine. If I forget all of my feelings about Jaden Smith, I can appreciate the song and lyrics. But now Jaden is reminding me of why I feel the way I feel about him, with a recent announcement regarding 2-3 unreleased rap albums that will, apparently, shut down the whole rap game until FOR-E-VER. 'Marching on Ferguson'
Tom Morello, guitarist for Rage Against the Machine, has released an anthem titled Marching on Ferguson as a way of showing his support for the on-going protests in Missouri where people are still reeling of the killing of unarmed Black teen Michael Brown by a police officer — who remains free and is, thus far, not facing any prosecution at all. Morello first performed the song live in September and has now made the song available for download at THIS site set up to encourage activism in Ferguson, MO. These 'Britney Jean' demos are remarkable
During production of Britney Spears‘s most recent album, Britney Jean, she worked with a host of producers and songwriters on songs that were being considered for inclusion on the album. When will.i.am was made executive producer of the album, it was pretty much determined that all of the most exciting options for the album would not make the cut and will’s boring vision for the album would shape Britney Jean. Today we get to hear portions of two demos that were written for Britney‘s album by Blood Orange (whose real name is Devonté Dev Hynes) that have mysteriously made their way online. The songs may not stay online for long, tho, so click below and have a listen while you can. You MUST hear what Britney‘s album could’ve sounded like. More »
