The stuff DREAMS are made of
For the past few months, newish late night talk show host James Corden has been trying out different bits on The Late Late Show on CBS to varying degrees of success but last night, I contend that he has outdone himself entirely … and has finally won a piece of my heart. Corden hosted Paula Abdul as one of his guests last night and the two of them recreated and performed live the animated music video for her hit 1989 single Opposites Attract. The video, as I HOPE you know, features Paula Abdul dancing with an animated rapping cat named MC Skat Kat. For their live recreation, James dressed as MC Skat Kat as Paula performed as Paula and … OMG … I just love this whole performance entirely! I fear that many of the youngsters out there may not be as familiar as they should with Paula Abdul‘s music and music videos, so it’s possible some of the younger folks out there may not understand how truly epic this tribute to Opposites Attract truly is. For the rest of us who know and love Paula‘s song and music video, I know this live performance of the song will be real treat for you. Check out Paula and James‘s tribute to Opposites Attract above and then click below to compare with the original music video released back in 1989. More »
What is a MSFT?
Jaden Smith, son of Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith, is featured in a new video produced by MSFTSrep where he is allowed to pontificate on pretty much any errant thought that passes through his brain as the camera rolls. The clip starts out with Jaden answering the question, What is a MSFT (misfit) and he goes off from there. Honestly, the subjects he touches on in this video are much more lucid than many of his previous ramblings but even still, I’m not entirely sure what he is talking about at any given time. If you would like to hear Jaden Smith speak Jaden Smith things in his own words then this video is for you. Have a look … and become enlightened.
"A single moment can change everything."
Back in early June, we got our first look at the first teaser trailer for the forthcoming Pixar animated film The Good Dinosaur, set to hit theaters around Thanksgiving. Today we get to see the just-released first full-length trailer for Dinosaur. See, I can’t say that I’m all jazzed to see this … which is odd because I really love Pixar films. That being said, I was unimpressed with the promo for Inside Out before I saw it and was very plesantly surprised by how much I loved the movie. Hopefully, I will love The Good Dinosaur just as much. Click the embed above to see what you think of this new Pixar film. Does it look like something you’re excited to see? The Good Dinosaur opens in theaters on November 25.

Way back in 1996, MTV got Estelle Getty, Betty White and Rue McClanahan to participate in a parody of Clueless for the MTV Movie Awards. All these years later, that parody video has come to light to find new life online. I have a vague recollection of watching this parody take place when it originally aired live back in the mid-’90s but I surely had forgotten all about it until PINTB reader Adrienne reminded me that it existed. As you can see in the low quality video embed above, the Golden Girls recreated key moments of the movie quite well … and very hilariously. I mean, how funny is Estelle Getty talking about how she needs to get laid? Clueless may have just turned 20 years old but it remains the gift that keeps on giving. Please enjoy.
"Y'all should know me well enough"
The very inventive folks at New York magazine have done it again with the latest installment of their Vulture Remix series of videos. They came up with the inspired idea to mash-up footage of Miss Piggy from The Muppets with audio from Rihanna‘s song Bitch Better Have My Money. The result? Perfection. Check out the video above and try and convince me that Miss Piggy does NOT sing this song better than Rihanna does … because you can’t, because she does. Enjoy.
Ant-Man was the #1 movie at the box office this weekend, bringing in $58 million dollars … making it the 12th straight Marvel Studios movie to debut atop the box office. For some insane reason, some outlets are reporting that Ant-Man “underperformed” because it was expected to bring in $60 million dollars in its opening weekend. But I think a difference of $2 million ain’t bad, particularly for a movie about a comic book hero that most people never heard of or are not a fan of. I loved the movie very much and I’m really looking forward to seeing it again in 4DX tomorrow. BUT I DIGRESS. Today, I’d like to share the Ant-Man trailer that has been recreated using LEGO building blocks. As is usually the case with these kinds of videos, this LEGO version of the trailer is really impressive. Ant-Man fans, assemble! Check out the trailer above recreated in LEGO and see much much cuter Ant-Man and Yellowjacket look as they battle to the death … in LEGO.

"I know I need to feel released"
A few days ago we learned the really great news that Chvrches have set September 20 as the release date for their sophomore album, titled Every Open Eye. Today we get to hear the first single from the new album in full. Chvrches have released a lyric video for the new single, Leave A Trace, which you can watch above. The song, I’m happy to hear, is very much in vein with the sound that Chvrches have become famous for. I absolutely LOVE the sweet, poppy, electronic music that the Scottish group crafts so expertly. If Leave A Trace is a sign of what we can expect when Every Open Eye is released, then we are in for a treat. Have a listen, see what you think. It’s a really great song, yeah?

Prepare the way for the Worldwide Trailer Release
In early June we got to see a minute and a half long trailer for the forthcoming sequel film The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 … but it turns out that that trailer wasn’t the official trailer. That trailer was just a teaser trailer that was released internationally. The official official trailer is due out in less than a week and today we get to see a teaser trailer for the first official trailer. I know it may seem silly to have teaser trailers for trailers, and maybe it is, but I’m of the mind that a movie like Mockingjay – Part 2 cannot be overhyped at this point. The end of the Hunger Games movie franchise is nearly upon us … which is good because we will soon get to see the final movie … tho, it’s bad because it will be the final movie. In any event, click the embed above to see this teaser for the forthcoming trailer which we’ll be feasting our eyes on soon.
"The devil has many names"
Back in December we first learned that AMC was planning a television mini-series that will be a sequel series to the 1976 film The Omen. Today we get our first look at the first trailer for Damien that revolves around the Antichrist child from The Omen all grown up. As you can see in the trailer above, this new mini-series will directly reference the original film — which I think is an excellent idea. As a huge fan of the original movies, I am intrigued by this new sequel series … even if the idea of an adult-sized Antichrist does seem a bit tired. Damien comes from the executive producer of The Walking Dead so on that point alone, it should be a quality series. Have a look at Damien above and see what you think … for he is coming … the Beast.

THAT MUSIC, THO!
Early last week we got our first look at the first footage released from the forthcoming return of The X-Files on Fox. Today, we get to see the first official teaser video from the show. As you may recall, the first footage we saw last week was painfully short … and this new teaser isn’t much longer … but it is longer. This new teaser is full of mystery, lots of shadows — Scully and Mulder, obvs — and the X-Files theme song music! AHH! Even tho this teaser is short, I got chills when the music chimed in. The X-Files will return with a short new season early next year so the wait is long … but it’ll be worth it, I just know it.
