'You & I (Nobody In The World)'
John Legend has released the music video for his new single You & I (Nobody In The World) and as you can see above, it is truly one of the most beautifully executed and surprisingly powerful music videos in recent memory. The theme of the video is simple, women of all shapes, sizes, ethnicities, ages, etc. look into the camera as if they were looking into a mirror. What we see throughout this video is the beauty that exists in all people, personified by the women who appear in this video. Among the women who are featured are actresses Laverne Cox and Tatyana Ali, along with Legend’s beautiful wife Chrissy Teigen. But, for me, I’m most taken with the non-famous women from all walks of life that are featured in the video. Have a look above, I think you will like what you see.
"Prepare to rock out with our sparks out"
Have you ever wondered what it is like aboard the starship Enterprise during the night shift on Star Trek: The Next Generation? I mean, we know all of the good stuff happens during the day shift but what of the night shift? Hmmm? Well, thanks to the hilarious series Robot Chicken, we finally get to see what happens when the night crew takes over control of the USS Enterprise. Click the embed above to see the night crew take spring into action during a Borg attack. Trust me, the video is pretty sweet.
Based on the memoir by Cheryl Strayed
Last July we learned that Reese Witherspoon acquired the rights to adapt the best-selling memoir Wild by Cheryl Strayed into a feature film. Today, we get our first look at the just-released first trailer for the film. In February, I finally read the book for myself and really enjoyed it. As I read, I could envision in my head how a film adaptation might look. This trailer gives us our actual first taste of the final product. Click the embed above to see this first trailer for Wild and see what you think. Wild will open in theaters in December.

Blonde SuperFreak Steals the Magic Brain
Back when Miley Cyrus was bedridden and ill, she conspired with her BFF Wayne Coyne of The Flaming Lips and their pal Moby (randomly) to make a short film titled Blonde SuperFreak Steals the Magic Brain. The movie, Rolling Stone reports, was meant to be released for a song about LSD but apparently, they decided to just release the video for fun. You can click above to watch this short film in full and then when you are sufficiently confused, you can click below to read a description of the video to try and make sense of things. More »
This is Capitol TV
Last month we got to see the first teaser video for the forthcoming sequel film The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, which will open in theaters at the end of this year. Today we get to see the just-released second teaser video for the film. Like the first teaser, this new video is presented as an announcement from President Snow via Capitol TV but unlike the first teaser, this new video gets interrupted by the rebels hiding out in District 13. The video is just under a minute long but you must watch all the way to the end. Then, click below to see the new poster art that was released in conjunction with this new video teaser. More »
Because they can
Halle Berry paid a visit to The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night to promote her new TV series Extant (which premieres on CBS tonight at 9PM ET/PT) and decided to make a human hamster wheel with Jimmy. I mean, anyone who watches The Tonight Show these days knows that Fallon has a reputation for doing wacky yet very entertaining things on the show. This human hamster wheel bit with Halle is more on the wacky side but … you still have to see the video. Click the embed above to see how Halle and Jimmy roll and you tell me you’re not impressed that Halle pulled this stunt off — while wearing a dress. Brava, Halle!
Thou Shalt Watch this Trailer
Last week we got to see a batch of promo photos from the upcoming Ridley Scott Biblical epic film Exodus: Gods and Kings, which stars Christian Bale as Moses. Today we get to see the just-released first trailer for the film. If you know the story of Moses (or the Charleton Heston film The 10 Commandments) then many of the scenes in this trailer will look very familiar to you. If not, then you are in for a very large, very dramatic story when this film is released in theaters. I like what I see in this first trailer but my initial reaction was that the scenes don’t look big enough. A story of this magnitude has to be larger than life … and perhaps watching the trailer on You Tube just won’t cut it. Even still, I’m encouraged that this movie will turn out well when it is shown on the big screen — in 3D. Check out the trailer above and see what you think. Exodus: Gods and Kings hits theaters in December.
The folks who handle the promo for the upcoming Marvel Comics superhero film Guardians of the Galaxy are not content with the release of mere standard movie trailers so they’ve upped the game with the release of this new extended trailer for the film. Clocking in at 2 1/2 minutes, this extended trailer for Guardians is pretty darn cool. It features a lot of new footage AND an actual scene from the film. Amazingly, this trailer shows us a lot about the movie without giving too much away. This movie is going to rule, I’m telling you. Check out this extended trailer and see what you think.
Your That-Ish-Cray o' the Day
Jimmy Fallon, in character as Neil Young, teamed up with classic crooners Crosby, Stills & Nash last night on The Tonight Show for an amazing cover performance of Iggy Azalea‘s hit song Fancy. As you might imagine, the performance turned out hilariously silly and, yet, shockingly entertaining. Fallon‘s impersonation of Neil Young is always perfect … but the inclusion of Crosby, Stills & Nash for the performance is just too damn good. Check out the performance above and fall in love.
