"We ain't doin' no type of stressin'"
The don Fat Joe has released the music video for his new single Stressin’ and as you can hear and see above, the song and video feature the luminous Diva Latina Jennifer Lopez. Joe and J. Lo have collaborated before, to much success, so I’m not at all surprised that the duo have teamed up again for a new track. There’s a deffo early ’00s vibe to the video and I have to say, Fat Joe looks amazing! This is a fun song and a fun video. What do you think?
Late last month, Fergie Ferg officially released the audio of her comeback single LA Love (La La) and, in the process, asked fans to submit photos of themselves making the LA sign with their fingers. She also asked for fans to submit photos they have taken of or with Fergie over the years. Those photos have been complied into a fun lyric video for LA Love (La La) which you can check out above. I am still really loving this new song so I’m happy to share this new video with all y’all. If you happened to submit a photo for possible inclusion, watch the video above carefully to see if you made the cut.
Jimmy Fallon and Brad Pitt got into a heated breakdance conversation on The Tonight Show last night, which you can watch in full above. Even tho there is some stunt breakdancing included, who do you think has the better moves?
A Social Experiment
Grammy Award-winning singer Erykah Badu decided to see how much money she could make from performing on the streets of NYC without people knowing who she is and she ended up making less than $4.00. The entire thing was recorded and you can watch the video in full below. Had people recognized that it was Badu performing, she likely would’ve gotten more attention … and maybe more money (tho, if I saw Erykah Badu performing on the street, I wouldn’t have given her any money assuming that she wasn’t performing for donations). Click below and see how this little social experiment played out. More »

Now through January 4, 2015
Last week we got our first look at actor Michael C. Hall in character as Hedwig as he will appear on stage in the Broadway production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch and TONIGHT will be his first performance in the role. The promo video above was released to remind the world that MCH‘s tenure in Hedwig begins tonight and will run through January 4. I will be in NYC over Hallowe’en weekend for the NY Marathon and I am HOPING to see MCH in Hedwig. He looks great in the make-up, I have every confidence he will slay on stage … starting tonight!!
Last week on the season premiere episode of American Horror Story: Freak Show, actress Jessica Lange delivered a stellar musical performance of the David Bowie song Life On Mars? Last night, co-star Sarah Paulson — who plays the two-headed characters of Bette and Dot on AHS this season — delivered a very entertaining musical performance of her own of Fiona Apple‘s song Criminal (complete with ’90s era mosh pit scene). It appears that AHS will this season feature musical performances of modern songs set in the show’s 1950s time period (a gimmick that I am loving, so far). Firstly, click the embed above to watch (or re-watch) Paulson‘s performance of Criminal on Freak Show last night … then, let’s head below and talk about the rest of last night’s episode of AHS titled Massacres and Matinees. You really can't go home again
Late last month we got to hear Yellow Flicker Beat, the song that Lorde wrote for the soundtrack to the upcoming sequel film The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 and today we get to hear that song featured in a new preview trailer for the film. In the video embedded above, we see protagonist Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) paying a visit to her home District 12 to survey the damage done by the Capitol. The imagery is stark, the music is powerful and the scene is really exciting in that I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THIS MOVIE! If you enjoyed the full trailer that was released in September, I think you’ll enjoy this new video trailer as well. Enjoy.
Hurray!! The shortest beef in the history of rap beefs has finally been squashed now that Snoop Dogg has publicly apologized to Iggy Azalea for poking fun at her on Instagram. As you may recall, we learned yesterday that Iggy was pissed at Snoop for posting a meme that made fun of her on his Instagram profile. Iggy‘s manager T.I. got involved and reached out to Snoop to let him know her feelings and Dogg posted a video on his official Instagram profile today apologizing for the “bad talk”*. Brilliantly, tho, Snoop never once mentions what exactly he’s sorry for nor does he mention Iggy‘s name at all. He even apologizes like a boss. Even still, beef over. Click below to watch Snoop‘s video apology and see how this rap beef ended. More »
This is a bona fide TRAVESTY
Ugh. For years now, uninspired producers have been mining properties from the past in order to reboot them for a new generation to capitalize from. Books, TV shows and movies from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s have been retooled and revamped in new modern incarnations, usually in pretty bad ways. Today we learn that the ’80s toy/cartoon Rainbow Brite has been reimagined as a new animated TV series which looks so painfully bad that I cringe even thinking about the horror that YOU will feel when you watch the trailer above. Trust me, I feel your pain … I’ve already watched it and I hate my eyes for what they have seen. This new version of Rainbow Brite is such shit that, except for the fact that actress Molly Ringwald voices the villain, I can’t even think of one positive thing to say about it. But, in order to see that I am not exaggerating, you have to watch the trailer above and see what they have done to Rainbow Brite … then you can cleanse your palette below by watching a FULL episode of the original ’80s cartoon version of Rainbow Brite.
