Life & Style magazine is reporting a rumor that our dear Britney Spears is secretly planning a big Las Vegas wedding with boyfriend Charlie Ebersol which I don’t necessarily believe but would be remiss if I didn’t pass along to all y’all. I mean, while I do doubt that Britney and Charlie are at the wedding phase of their relationship just yet, I would kick myself if those crazy kids did decide to get married and I failed to report the possibility that the wedding rumor might be true. Click below to read what L&S has to say about this possible Spebersol wedding rumor and see if YOU think it’s a good idea for Britney and Charlie to get hitched so soon. More »
Annie Leibovitz will shoot the photos
A new report out today is claiming that Bruce Jenner will appear on the cover and in the pages of an upcoming issue of Vanity Fair magazine as a woman after she completes her gender reassignment surgery. Earlier this week, a different report made the claim that Jenner has already undergone the surgery in secret and is currently recuperating here in LA. I’m more inclined to believe this VF report coupled with the gender reassignment surgery claim. Additionally, if true, famed photographer Annie Leibovitz has been tasked with shooting Jenner‘s Vanity Fair photos which will reveal to the world her new look as a woman. More »
PLEASE GODS, LET THIS BE TRUE!
Just yesterday we saw an amazing photo of Janet Jackson here in LA at rehearsals for her upcoming new TOUR which will feature music from her new ALBUM which she promises will be out this year. Today we hear that our first taste of JJ‘s new music may come within in the next 30 days. At this point, any information about the release of Janet‘s new music is speculative since no official announcement has been made … but if she is planning to release a new album and launch a new tour this year, then a single release in the next 4 weeks would fit into her timeline. WW's main squeeze
Superman has his Lois Lane and Spider-Man has his Mary Jane Watson … Wonder Woman has her Steve Trevor and according to a new report by Variety, it looks like WW‘s love interest may be played by actor Chris Pine. Altho nothing is official yet and Warner Bros. has offered a stern NO COMMENT, Variety reports that their sources maintain that Pine is in negotiations to play Steve Trevor in the forthcoming Wonder Woman movie alongside Gal Gadot. It has been commonly believed that Scott Eastwood (who is currently filming the Suicide Squad movie) might be playing the role of Steve Trevor but it turns out he turned down the chance to possibly get the role for a guaranteed role in SS. If Variety is right, then Chris Pine will play Wonder Woman‘s main man. More »
Last month we learned officially that Netflix renewed Marvel’s Daredevil for a second season to come in 2016. Shortly thereafter, actor Charlie Cox revealed which Daredevil characters he hoped might be featured in the show’s second season. He mentioned that he would like to see the villainous Bullseye make an appearance on the show as well as the anti-hero The Punisher … but I think it was very clear that his top choice for the next DD character to appear on the show is Elektra. Thanks to leaked audition tapes for DD season 2, it looks like Charlie is going to get his wish. It seems very likely that Elektra will be featured in Marvel’s Daredevil season 2. More »
“It’s all nothing until it’s something"
Back in May it was officially confirmed by Disney that plans are in the works to reboot the Indiana Jones film franchise after reports suggested that Chris Pratt was being considered for the role of Dr. Henry Jones. In the new issue of GQ magazine, Pratt talks about those rumors and he shuts down reports that he will be starring in a bunch of movies (including Ghostbusters and Knight Rider) as “bullshit”. BUT when the talk turns to those Indiana Jones reboot rumors, Chris says that no one’s “called him” about the part but he doesn’t at all suggest that it is out of the realm of possibility. Read on. Did Taylor enlist every friend she has to diss Katy Perry?
After teasing the release of her music video with a massive character poster campaign, Taylor Swift finally unleashed her Bad Blood music video/mini-movie tonight for the world to see. As you can see in the embed above, the storyline of the Bad Blood video focuses squarely on betrayal … and revenge. The speculation that has emerged since the release of this video is that the video is meant as a not-so-subtle diss toward Katy Perry who used to be friendly with Taylor and, after a betrayal, well … came the bad blood. Selena Gomez‘s character Arsyn is said to be playing the Katy role and Taylor‘s Catastrophe character is obvs the Taylor role. It’s an interesting theory … but the video is so good overall that the rumored subtext is secondary. Taylor has outdone herself with this video for Bad Blood. The week-long hype promo was well worth it, I think. Have a look, see what you think. Are you impressed?
He has reportedly been offered the role of Newt Scamander
Back in May of last year, we learned that the first Harry Potter spin-off movie, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, will be released in theaters next year. Last month, we first learned that Academy Award-winner Eddie Redmayne was being eyed for the lead role in the movie as Newt Scamander. Today, Variety reports that Redmayne has been offered the role as Scamander and, if he accepts, he will star in what promises to be a major movie franchise since Fantastic Beasts will be the first in a trilogy of films. Personally, I am in full support of Eddie playing Newt, I think he will make an excellent lead actor to carry on the fine Harry Potter movie tradition. More »
I don't know how to feel about this
After Fox successfully managed to reboot their long-running hit TV series 24 last year with a limited season run, the network is considering bringing to life “another version of 24” that might be based around a new character … NOT Jack Bauer (played by Kiefer Sutherland). As I understand it, after last year’s 24: Live Another Day was a moderate TV ratings hit, Fox starting considering a redux of the show that would focus on a new central character. Now that Sutherland has gone on the record to say that he “doesn’t see” himself starring in any future eps of 24, it would appear that Fox is considering moving forward with “another version” of the show sans Jack Bauer. Here come the 'Queen Bee Moms'
A sequel to Mean Girls is finally coming our way … sorta. Author Rosalind Wiseman, the author of the book that inspired the Mean Girls movie, has written a new book titled Queen Bee Moms And King Pin Dads: Dealing With The Parents, Teachers, Coaches, And Counselors Who Can Make — or Break — Your Child’s Future and, of course, someone got the brilliant idea to adapt this new book into a new movie. Rumor has it that Jennifer Aniston is being courted to play the lead in this Mean Moms movie … which all adds up to a LOT of stuff to consider. Will Mean Moms work as a successful sequel to Mean Girls? More »
