As we all know, Beyoncé is gearing up for her performance at Super Bowl XLVII… and so are we. As if Beyoncé‘s performance wasn’t reason enough to tune in, we also learned a little while back that Destiny’s Child will be reuniting on stage as well… which is insane, and we are not worthy! Recently, Bey took to Instagram to share some pictures of herself in rehearsal, and things are looking pretty hot. Now that we’re fairly sure that Destiny’s Child will be doing a reunion performance when Beyoncé hits the Super Bowl Half-Time stage, it’s time to start mentally, spiritually, and emotionally preparing for their return. Every couple of days, I find myself in a YouTube music video vortex and it almost never involves contemporary music. I miss the friggen 90s! And the early-to-mid 2000s! And I’ve been wanting to share my nostalgia with y’all, which is why I’m starting a Throwback Thursdays post! Every Thursday we’re gonna re-live and re-lurve the [so-called] oldies but goodies, and I thought the DC reunion would make for a great jump-off post. So far, 2013 has been a pretty sweet year in music. I spent most of yesterday listening to A$AP Rocky‘s debut album; we’ve got a Destiny’s Child reunion performance popping off soon, and Missy Elliot, Justin Timberlake, and Britney Spears are all working on new music. Outkast also sorta, kinda reunited when Big Boi jumped on the ill remix to Frank Ocean‘s Pink Matter. So the other day we got to hear a brand spankin’ new Destiny’s Child song, and it was kind of a HUGE deal! Trent damn near lost his mind over the new track (titled Nuclear), and I’ve started listening to some throwback songs just to mentally prepare myself for the rumored Super Bowl reunion. And by ‘listening to some throwback songs’ I mean ‘listening to Cater 2 U on repeat.’ We haven’t heard from the girls yet, or a representative, but hella sources are saying that the reunion is definitely going down! Ever since the Spice Girls broke up and went their separate ways, fans have been clamoring for a reunion. That ladies did, in fact, reunite for a world tour a few years ago and, as you may recall, they reunited again this past Summer to perform during the Closing Ceremonies of the 2012 London Olympic Games. Just last week, the ladies got together again for the premiere of Viva Forever! — a musical based on the music of the Spice Girls … and now we’re hearing they may reunite again … BUT, without Victoria Beckham. VB does NOT want to be a Spice Girl anymore but that’s not stopping the other Spices from planning to move forward together without her. Rumor has it, they are thinking about — gasp — replacing her in the group — with a reality TV competition! Say it ain’t so! More »

The pair haven’t been seen together in public since the AMAs but yesterday they did surface together. Over on Saturday we learned that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez suffered an embarrassingly bad date night on Friday which led many to believe that the couple have finally decided to call it quits for good. Photos of Selena enjoying a girls’ night out with the break-up queen Taylor Swift on Saturday night only reinforced that belief. Then the American Music Awards happened last night and, well, it would seem that Justin and Selena are back on again … again. The couple were spotted hand-in-hand after the awards show and were spotted together an an afterparty. THEN the couple made their way back to Selena‘s place together at the very end of the night so … love wins, I guess. More »

Squeeeeee!!! Today was a great day for fans of the Buffyverse! Two of the actor show played a couple of the most beloved characters on Buffy the Vampire Slayer reunited in Hollywood … and then shared the lurve on Twitter. Alyson Hannigan (who played Willow) was reunited with her BtVS co-star Seth Green (who played Oz, Willow‘s first boyfriend on Buffy) on the set of her current show How I Met Your Mother. Don’t laugh at me. But. I kinda got chills when I first started watching the video Trent posted of the Spice Girls closing out the Olympics. I guess… I really… missed the Spice Girls! LMAO. Whoa. That was intense. Peep the gallery to relive and re-lurve the reunion. Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell also participated in the Closing Ceremony, and they were looking hella fierce as well.
