Our dear Britney Spears hosted a very special guest backstage at her Piece Of Me show at the Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV last night when her former BFF Melissa Joan Hart stopped by to see her show. Melissa was in Vegas yesterday to promote her new line of boys’ apparel King of Harts at the Magic trade show. Britney and Melissa, as you may recall, were practically inseparable way back in the late ’90s / early ’00s right around the time that Britney recorded the music video for (You Drive Me) Crazy, which was used as the theme song for Melissa‘s 1999 movie Drive Me Crazy. Melissa appeared in Britney‘s music video and a BFFship was born. Click below to see the photo that Britney and Melissa snapped last night in Vegas and then check out a few #ThrowbackThursday photos I scrounged up that showed just how close Brit and Mel were back in the day. On Tuesday we saw the BRILLIANT recreation that Jimmy Fallon did of the open credits of the hit ’90s series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air which kicked off The Tonight Show‘s week here in LA. Last night, OMG, Fallon managed to outdo even himself with, what can only be described as, THE greatest feat in the history of television. Jimmy managed to pull of a near perfect reunion of the Saved By the Bell cast on The Tonight Show last night … which you can watch in full above. I say near perfect because neither Dustin Diamond (aka Screech) nor Lark Voorhies (aka Lisa Turtle) were in attendance for the reunion (probably because Diamond is still dealing with the legal ramifications of being arrested recently for stabbing a guy in a bar fight and Voorhies is reportedly dealing with some sort of mental problem these days). But Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zack Morris), Tiffani Amber Thiessen (Kelly Kapowski), Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie Spano), Mario Lopez (A.C. Slater) and Dennis Hastings (an extremely overweight Mr. Belding) all participated in this masterfully written, superbly acted, PERFECTLY WIGGED SBtB reunion skit last night. You simply have to watch this … and love it to absolute death.
As a bonus, Mario Lopez shared a couple of behind the scenes photos from The Tonight Show taping last night that he posted on his official Instagram profile just before the skit aired here on the West Coast, click below to see those fun photos. More »
A new documentary, new tour dates ... a new album?
For a few weeks now, the original members of the rock band L7 have been teasing a possible reunion with the launch of a Kickstarter campaign to crowdfund a planned live performance documentary about the band called L7: Pretend We’re Dead. Yesterday, the original members of L7 announced officially that they are reuniting to play a pair of shows this year … with the promise of a full tour to follow. All of this news is fairly new so there aren’t much details about the tour nor is there any info about a possible new album but it sounds like the members of L7 are very excited about this reunion so I’m guessing anything is possible. But, really, only LC and Lo showed up UPDATE
The cast of MTV‘s reality TV series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County got together in Laguna Beach, CA this weekend to celebrate their 10 year high school reunion together. High School reunions tend to take place over the Thanksgiving weekend because there is a stronger liklihood that folks will return home for the holiday. BFFs Lauren LC Conrad and Lauren Lo Bosworth were among the Laguna Beach High School Class of 2004 that came home for the reunion … but they were really the only alums of note worth mentioning who attended. Stephen Coletti was a no-show and Kristin Cavallari graduated with the Class of 2005 so her 10 year reunion is next year …
the Laguna Beach reunion was really just a LC & Lo reunion. UPDATE: It turns out that a couple of Laguna Beach guys were in attendance as well … More »
With a special appearance from Left Eye
Okay, so last night the 2014 BET Soul Train Awards aired and I was mainly excited about this performance! During the tribute to Kool & the Gang, Lil’ Kim, Missy Elliot, and Da Brat took the stage to perform their 1997 ladies anthem hit Not Tonight, and I just loved it. Angie Martinez was MIA, but they played Left Eye‘s video performance in memory of the rapper, who passed away in 2002. I loved it, and Lil’ Kim remains my favorite Queen B of all time. Also loved seeing all of the women rappers who came on stage at the end. Peep the video for more!
Actors James Van Der Beek and Joshua Jackson ran into one another a couple of days ago and accidentally staged an unexpected Dawson’s Creek reunion … so they had to snap a photo and share the momentous occasion with the rest of the world. This is the caption that James wrote for this photo on his official Instagram profile:
The most pleasant run-ins can happen in the most unexpected places…
We don’t know, exactly, this unexpected run-in took place but I’m sure glad the guys were nice enough to let the rest of us enjoy the moment as well :D Until a full-fledged Dawson’s Creek reunion really takes place, this photo will have to do.
Ain't no party
Way back in 2012 we first heard rumblings that the iconic ’90s pop group S Club 7 were planning to reunite … but nothing came of those rumors and all hope was lost. Then last month, out of the complete blue, we learned OFFICIALLY that S Club 7 would be reuniting for a performance at the BBC Children In Need event and last night … the impossible happened. All 7 members of S Club 7 reunited to perform a medley of their biggest hits. The video above speaks for itself because, really, what else can one say about such a momentous moment? See, friends, dreams really do come true if you believe hard enough.

"It's October 3rd" all over again
2014 marks the 10 year anniversary of the release of the movie Mean Girls and back in August we learned that Mean co-stars Lindsay Lohan and Tina Fey staged a bit of a reunion together. It looks like that mini-reunion was actually a photoshoot for Entertainment Weekly‘s annual Reunions Issue which includes a reunion of all of the Mean Girls stars … Rachel McAdams, Lacey Chabert and Amanda Seyfried included. Click below to see a couple photos of the Mean Girls girls together again and let’s celebrate the movie’s anniversary again with EW magazine. More »

Then / Now
Back in 1994, a remake of The Little Rascals (based on the Our Gang short films of the 1920s-1940s) was given a theatrical release which many of us may remember fondly. This week, in honor of the 20th anniversary of the film, a production company called 22 Vision staged a reunion of the entire cast for a fun photoshoot. The cast recreated the movie poster for 1994′s The Little Rascals which you can see below. Be prepared, the sight of all of these cute kids all grown up as adults is likely to make you feel really, really old. More »
