Half Way to a Full Reunion of The Smiths

Last month I got to see Johnny Marr of The Smiths live in concert during weekend 1 of the Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio, CA but last night, he performed a concert in Brooklyn, NY that leaves me seething with envy. During his set, Johnny brought up a fellow member of The Smiths for a performance of classic single How Soon Is Now? Bassist Andy Rourke joined Johnny on stage last night for, essentially, what turned out to be a 50% reunion of The Smiths. Check out the embed above to see this mini-reunion and seethe with jealousy along with me.

Also, I wonder how many times Morrissey has watched this clip already ;)

TLC Will Reunite In Concert With A Hologram Version Of Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes

Remember back in April of 2012 when we heard that the surviving members of TLC were planning to embark on a “reunion tour” that would include a holographic version of the late Lisa Left Eye Lopes? Yeah, well, it’s really happening. Tionne T-Boz Watkins and Rozonda Chilli Thomas have booked a performance for this Summer that will include a digital incarnation of Left Eye. Honestly, I’m not sure how I feel about this news but … it’s happening, whether we like it or not. More »

Earlier this week we heard Drake‘s new single, Girls Love Beyoncé and it was all kinds of awesome. Most of us agreed that the song was dope, but a couple of you mentioned that since the hook was taken directly from Say My Name (a throwback Destiny’s Child song), the track really should have been titled Girls Love Destiny’s Child. Even though Drake probably won’t change the title, he clearly has DC on the brain, and he’s not alone. Talk of the new Kelly Rowland album also inspired talk of a Destiny’s Child reunion, and now Michelle Williams is speaking out about the possibility of it all going down. Click inside to learn more!

Sorry World, NBC Is NOT Bringing ‘Friends’ Back For A ‘Comeback Season’

Back in February, former Friends co-stars Courteney Cox and Matthew Perry reunited on the NBC series Go On … much to fans’ ecstatic glee. But, it would appear that that mini reunion is all the reunion we’re going to get from the former Friends. Late yesterday and today a “news report” started making the rounds on Facebook that claims that NBC has “confirmed” that a new season of Friends is on the way. Citing a website I never heard of before, this report makes the bold claim that the cast of Friends will reunite for a “comeback season” of new episodes on NBC. LOL. As soon as I saw this report, I knew it had to be a fake hoax … and I assumed that others knew the same. Judging by the number of people who keep reposting the news leads me to believe that folks are either extremely naive or their clear thinking has been muddied by their intense desire for more Friends. After a shizzload of relationship drama last year (that involved cheating and breaking up and making up and breaking up again), actors Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson decided that it was time to hang out again after being apart for about 2 months. At this point, we don’t know for sure if K. Stew and R. Pattz are romantic again or just friends again but we do know that their shared love of karaoke has resulted in a reunion of sorts. For the past few years, ever since the show went off the air, fans have been clamoring for a Friends reunion. Over the years, rumors have come and gone about the possibility of a Friends movie but, alas, no such thing has ever come to be … nor may it ever come to pass. But, despite the fact that the entire cast of Friends has yet to reunite in any real way, individual Friends castmembers have gotten together to stage mini-reunions of their own. For example, back in 2010 Jennifer Aniston paid a visit to Courteney Cox‘s new series Cougar Town … and just yesterday, Courteney paid a visit to the set of Matthew Perry‘s new series Go On. For the first time in a long time, Monica and Chandler Bing reunited again to appear on TV together. Earlier this week we hilariously recapped the Destiny’s Child reunion performance at Super Bowl XLVII, and it was so much fun. Between all of your comments and Trent‘s Michelle GIF, I was just done off, lol! Y’all are insane– and even though a lot of us had different opinions on Beyoncé‘s performance, we all pretty much agreed that there shoulda been more Destiny’s Child during the Destiny’s Child reunion. This week we also learned that Bey is continuing her takeover with the Mrs. Carter Show world tour, and while that’s very exciting, there’s still nothing like a DC reunion. After a short hiatus (that has erroneously been labeled a break-up for years), Fall Out Boy are back out of the blue with a new music video for a new song titled My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up), featuring 2 Chainz randomly, which is the lead single from their new album titled Save Rock and Roll which FoB plan to support on a tour that will kick off in Milwakee, WI on May 14. So, it happened. Last night Beyoncé took over the Super Bowl and lit’rally shut it doooowwwwnn. Like, the electricity and e’rything!!! And now that we know Mrs. Carter is going on her world tour, we can re-live and re-lurve the days when she was just doing a silly little Super Bowl performance. OK, so remember how we learned and took as GOSPEL that Destiny’s Child would be reuniting during the Super Bowl halftime show next weekend as part of headliner Beyoncé‘s solo performance? Yeah, well, according to one member of DChild, the reunion is NOT taking place. Michelle Williams was asked about the much ballyhooed Destiny’s Child reunion and she made a face … then hemmed and hawed a bit about rumors … then flat out said that the reunion wasn’t going to happen. HMMMM. Could Michelle just be playing with us to hype up the reunion (which was supposed to be a surprise) or she giving us the 411 right now that next Sunday’s Super Bowl halftime show is going to be all about Beyoncé and NOT about DChild?
