Kylie Minogue Is Working With Pharrell On New Music

Pharrell Spills the Beans

Back in January it was reported that Kylie Minogue was planning to take a break from the music business so that she could focus on other projects. A month later, it was revealed that Kylie signed a new management deal with Jay-Z‘s Roc Nation company and plans for a “break” went completely out the window. Since news of Kylie‘s Roc Nation deal was revealed, we’ve been hearing whispers about the work she is doing on a new album. In a radio interview yesterday on The Angie Martinez Show on the NYC radion station Hot 97, Pharrell Williams dished a bit about the production work he has been doing with artists lately and he revealed that he is working with Kylie on new music. Pharrell also talked a bit about the work he has done with Daft Punk (including their AMAZING collaboration on the new single Get Lucky) as well as other artists … click below to watch video of Pharrell talking about music and the folks he has been making music with lately. To promote the release of her new single Almost Home, the first from the soundtrack to Disney‘s Oz: The Great and Powerful, Mariah Carey sat down for an interview with her American Idol chum Ryan Seacrest on his radio show On Air with Ryan Seacrest to discuss the song … as well as NEW music later this year. According to Mimi, she’s been working hard on new material for her next album and she is CRAZY excited to release it all. 2013 already looks like a great year for new music so if we add a new album from Mariah Carey, my head is pretty much going to explode from happiness. Missy Elliott & Timbaland Further Clarify That They Want Nothing To Do With The Forthcoming Aaliyah Project

"I don't even know if it's an album"

Last month, in the wake of a LOT of back and forth discussion about the possible release of a posthumous album from the late singer Aaliyah, Missy Elliott went on the record to confirm that she has no plans to take part in any such project whatsoever, despite others making the claim that both she and Timbaland will be involved. Last night, on Hot 97, both Missy and Tim reiterated their stance that not only are they not involved with the Aaliyah project but they personally believe that a posthumous album release is not what Aaliyah would’ve wanted. Click below to read their latest comments on this Aaliyah project thing to see where they truly stand on the matter once and for all. More »

First Listen: No Doubt Releases Their New Single ‘Push And Shove’

Title Track
Reggae, Set, Go!

No Doubt won’t release their new album Push and Shove next month but today they are releasing their next single, the title song of the album. Ryan Seacrest debuted the new ND single Push and Shove on his On Air with Ryan Seacrest radio program and right now we get to listen to the song in full. You can get your first listen of Push and Shove above but be warned, you’ll have to endure the annoying and repeating message that the song is being made available by Seacrest‘s radio show (you’ll know it when you hear it). The song has a very interesting flavor, I think. Take and listen and see what you think about the track.

Joe Jonas Claims That Taylor Swift’s Newest Break-Up Song Is NOT About Him

"It's not about me"

On Tuesday we got our first listen of Taylor Swift‘s new single and latest break-up song We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together and almost immediately, folks began to wonder who Taylor is singing about in the lyrics of the song. I wondered if the song might be about Jake Gyllenhaal (one of Taylor‘s more famous exes) but there are a lot of ex-boyfriends in Taylor‘s past that could’ve been the inspiration. Another of Taylor‘s more famous exes is Joe Jonas … but according to him, the song is not about their relationship. Click below to read what he has to say about Taylor‘s new song. More »

Morgan Freeman Says Barack Obama Isn’t Black Enough To Be The First Black US President

"[Obama is] not America's first black president"

Morgan Freeman, who has been doing the media rounds lately in order to promote the theatrical release of the sequel film The Dark Knight Rises, paid a visit to the National Public Radio station for a sit down interview. Over the course of his discussion with Tell Me More host Michel Martin, Freeman started talking about President Barack Obama … and specifically how it is his personal opinion that Obama is not Black enough to be called our country’s first Black president. Because Obama‘s mother is White, Freeman says, Obama cannot be classified as the first Black president of the United States of America. Hmm. More »

But Just For One Night (Una Noche)

Happy Days are HERE AGAIN! The forecast this Summer is for a HOT boy band reunion!! As you may recall, we learned back in March that 98 Degrees was planning a small reunion tour to take place this year. Then, after it was revealed that Nick Lachey is going to be a father for the first time, we learned that the 98 Degrees reunion had been postponed … indefinitely. BUT today, I am pleased to share, the band has officially confirmed that the reunion is BACK ON! The only downside to this news is that the reunion will only happen once … as in, una noche. More »
