92.1 FM becomes B92 FM
Bad news for folks in the Houston, TX area who are fond of listening to news radio but Good news for folks in Houston who love Beyoncé because news radio 92.1 FM has been converted to an all-Beyoncé music radio station. The radio station managers say that the change happened because of poor ratings for the news format … and, as a result, 47 journalists were let go. Because Beyoncé is the “Queen Bee”, says the management, the decision was to turn the station into All Beyoncé, All The Time. 92.1 FM is now B92 FM. More »

Unconfirmed but EXCITING, nonetheless
Now, we should probably take this news with a HUGE grain of salt but DJ Skee made a huge announcement on Dash Radio yesterday claiming that Beyoncé and Jay Z are working on a joint album together. As you may know, the musical power couple went on tour together for the first time ever this summer (which turned out to be a HUGE success for them financially) so it seems logical that they might want to collaborate on a joint album together. The timing sounds really perfect … which is why I’m having a hard time totally believing this report. Considering how secretive Beyoncé can be when she is working on new music, it’s possible we may not know if this report is true or not until the very last second so it’s probably not a good idea to hold one’s breath. That said, how amazing would it be if B-Jay really did collaborate and put out a joint album together? Would you be down or does it sound like overkill to you?
Also, Alicia Keys will appear on Maddy's new album
Altho we learned a few days ago that we won’t be getting Madonna‘s new album until next year, we are hearing today some exciting news about her new music. Diplo gave an interview to Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1 and he revealed that Madonna‘s as-yet untitled new single is produced and ready for release … when she’s ready to release it. Work is progressing on Maddy‘s new album, which is still being recorded. Madonna has revealed that Alicia Keys has been brought on board to play piano for the album and, well, even tho we have to wait a while longer to hear her new stuff, it all sounds very promising at this point. The hosts got a surprise call from the director
This is such a great story. You never know who’s listening to your radio show (or reading your blog), so you should always be prepared to defend your opinions! The hosts (and listeners) of Detroit’s 97.1 The Ticket‘s Stoney and Bill radio show got quite the surprise when Batman V Superman director Zack Snyder called in to defend the honor of Aquaman. Rumor has it, the superhero will be in the film—of course, my favorite part of that rumor is that Jason Momoa will be playing him. The hosts of the show were apparently talking smack about Aquaman, and Snyder wasn’t having it, lol! Click inside for more!
Plus, he TOTALLY disses Orlando Bloom
Chris Pratt sat down for a radio interview this week to promote his blockbuster hit movie Guardians of the Galaxy and was asked about his favorite music. Chris revealed that he loved Dr. Dre‘s Chronic 2 (aka 2001, aka Chronic 2001) album so much that he knows every lyric to every song on the album … and the proceeded to bust out a killer performance of Forgot About Dre (Featuring Eminem). You have to watch the video above to see for yourself, it’s pretty epic. Make sure you watch the clip to the very end because Chris sneaks in a funny little diss toward Orlando Bloom which is kinda hilarious (even tho I’m Team Bloom). This video will make your day, I promise.
Actor Gary Oldman paid a visit to the CapitalFM studios this week to promote his new film Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and, amazingly, he was asked to perform a rendition of Iggy Azalea‘s hit song Fancy. And, as you can hear above, he managed to deliver a sick and wholly entertaining version of the track. If you’ve ever wanted to hear Gary Oldman do a performance of Fancy (who hasn’t, really?), then today is your lucky day. Have a listen and fall in love.
Here comes 'Crazy'
Earlier this week, Robin Thicke released a lyric video for his new song Forever Love which features animated characters acting out his desperate attempt to woo back his estranged wife Paula Patton (which is the theme of all of the music featured on his new album Paula, in stores this week). Today he releases a second video, this time a music video for his song Still Madly Crazy. Again, this new video is the latest in his public attempt to harangue Paula in an effort to win her back … but this time, Thicke is using cute kids in his campaign. Check out the video above to see how Robin Thicke is trying to use children to help him publicly harass his estranged wife and cringe along with me, won’t you?
BONUS: Click below to watch video of an interview of Robin Thicke talking to Hot 97 about his new album … and his estranged wife Paula Patton. If you’re at all interested in Thicke‘s messy behavior as of late, the video is a must watch. More »
"Everybody's after money, the estate, the lawyers."
As you should be well aware, the late Michael Jackson has a new album out this week titled Xscape that is, thus far, doing very well with sales aided by the release of the well-received first single Love Never Felt So Good (featuring Justin Timberlake) and the stunning hologram performance of the song Slave to the Rhythm on the Billboard Music Awards last weekend. Everyone seems to be loving this new MJ album … except for MJ‘s good friend and producer Quincy Jones. In an interview on the CBC Radio program Q with Jian Ghomeshi, Quincy gives his honest opinion about the release of MJ‘s new album Xscape. To him, the release is “about money” … and he wants nothing to do with it at all. More »

The verbal feud between Seth Rogen and Justin Bieber rages on this week in the wake of new comments that Seth made about Bieber on The Howard Stern Show (among other things, Rogen again referred to Bieber as a “motherf*cker” and “piece of sh*t” — much like the comments he’s made before). In his new interview, Seth explains why he is not a Bieber fan by describing the douchey behavior that Justin exhibited during the two times that the pair met. In response, JB posted a retort to Rogen‘s comments on his official Twitter profile. You have to hear below Seth‘s reasoning for disliking Bieber to truly understand the heart of his disdain for The Biebs. Be warned, Seth uses adult language when describing Justin Bieber but it sounds like the strong language is necessary to truly convey his point. More »
"Alright, we maybe kissed. It was lame."
After that list of Lindsay Lohan‘s famous lovers was leaked to the Internets which includes James Franco and other famous actors among her conquests, Franco made it very clear that he did NOT have sex with Lindsay no matter what she says. Today, during his interview on The Howard Stern Show, James was asked again about his history with Lindsay and he, once again, make it known that he did not have sex with Lohan. He admits to kissing her (“It was lame“) and he admits to living at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood, CA at the same time that she did (“she even broke into my room one time“) but he swears he never had sex with her. Listen to portions of Franco‘s interview on Howard Stern below. More »
