Rihanna Stuns In The ‘Secret Garden’ Ad Campaign For Dior

'Only If For a Night'

Promo images from Dior‘s new Secret Garden ad campaign which feature Rihanna have been released and as you can see below, the photos are haunting, striking and very beautiful. Photographed by Steven Klein, Rihanna is the latest celebrity spokesmodel (and, I understand, the fashion house’s first Black spokesmodel) for the brand, which will included a short film also called Secret Garden, set to a new Rihanna song titled A Night (which will be included on her new album — whenever it comes out). The short film should be out this week but for now, let’s feast our eyes on the ad campaign promo images below. More »

Watch: Rihanna Performed ‘BBHMM’ & ‘American Oxygen’ On ‘SNL’s 40th Season Finale Episode

Ri Ri to the Rescue

NBC aired the 40th season finale of Saturday Night Live last night with funnyman Louis C.K. as host and Rihanna as musical guest. Very, very unfortunately, the episode as a whole was a total snooze. Not even Louis C.K.‘s usual brilliance was enough to make last night’s episode of SNL all that great. BUT, there was a shining ray of sunshine that came from the season finale ep of SNL that is worth talking about. Rihanna performed her new songs Bitch Better Have My Money and American Oxygen on last night’s show and she did a really great job of injecting life in last night’s snoozefest. Click below to watch both performances and enjoy! I’m telling you, these Rihanna performances are the only things worth mentioning from last night’s season finale episode of Saturday Night Live. "The series will explore war stories, romances, mysteries, heists, action adventure and horror"

Based on the success of a line of DC Comics Collectibles statues that reimagine some of our favorite DC Comics characters as World War II era superheroes called DC Comics Bombshells, the comic book company has decided to launch this summer a new line of comic books featuring these bombshell make-over heroes. Written by Marguerite Bennett with art by Marguerite Sauvage, DC Comics Bombshells will feature vintage DC heroines in an alternate WWII timeline. Click through the gallery to see what some of our fave DC Comics heroes (and villains) look like as vintage bombshells and then click below to learn more about this fun new comic book series debuting first digitally in July and in print in August. First Look: The CW Releases A First Trailer For Its ‘Arrow’/'The Flash’ Spin-Off Titled ‘DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow’

"In the future, none of you are heroes ... you're legends"
"Sometimes the world needs a team"

Back in March we learned that Hawkgirl would be one of the new characters included in the upcoming superhero spin-off series based on characters from The CW superhero shows Arrow and The Flash and today we get our first look at that new series, titled DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. The trailer embedded above gives us our first look at the series and informs us a bit about what the show will be all about. Not only does it give us our first look at Hawkgirl (played by Ciarra Renee) but it also reveals that ex-Black Canary / Sarah Lance (played by Caity Lotz) will live on as the resurrected White Canary (thank Ra’s Al Ghul for his Lazarus Pit) … AND, it gives us our first look at Atom (played by Brandon Routh) shrinking down to miniature size for the first time (which was hinted at in last night’s season finale episode of Arrow). Also in the mix are Firestorm (played by Robbie Amell and Victor Garber), Captain Cold (played by Wentworth Miller) and Heatwave (played by Dominic Purcell). The trailer also reveals that this rag tag team of heroes and villains have been culled together by Rip Hunter (played by Arthur Darvill), a time-traveling rogue that will take this team through all points of time to fight bad guys … like Vandal Savage. Watch the trailer … see what you think. There is a lot going on. It’ll be interesting to see if this ensemble cast of superheroes can work together to bring us a TV show worth watching.

Sony Is Planning To Remake ‘The Craft’ And I Am Having Some Feelings About It

The TV Guide

Late last night, Sony Pictures announced plans to remake the 1995 movie The Craft for a new generation and almost immediately, friends, PITNB readers and fellow fans of The Craft started flooding my social media accounts and my email inbox with links and comments … so much so that I felt I needed to take some time to process the news and then form a reasoned opinion. After a few hours, I decided I needed to take the night … and then this morning, I decided I needed a bit more time. Without question, The Craft is one of the more important movies of my life (for various reasons) so news that will be remake with a new cast and, likely, a new story has been hard to process. A very minuscule part of me loves the story so much, that a perfectly made remake helmed by a female director might offer a fun new take on witch tale … but, overwhelmingly, the rest of me is screaming that this idea to remake The Craft is a bad, very bad idea. The ‘Jem And The Holograms’ Live-Action Movie Gets A Release Date And A SLEW Of Promo Photos

Coming to theaters in October

Back in February we got to see the first promo image released from the forthcoming live-action movie Jem and the Holograms LOOSELY based on the cartoon of the same name from the ’80s. As you may recall, along with the release of that first promo image came the official plot description of the movie … which is worrisome because, as far as can be ascertained, the movie WILL NOT feature very integral parts of the original storylike the hologram computer Synergy or the very necessary rival band the Misfits … there will be NO ACTUAL HOLOGRAMS? What?! Even still … the movie is coming out way. Today we learn, with the release of a new batch of Jem movie promo photos, that this live-action movie will open in theaters on October 23. Click through the gallery presented here to see what this new live-action version of Jem and the Holograms will look like and click below to learn more about this, IMHO, terribly-sounding movie. The 1989 Movie ‘Uncle Buck’ Is Being Turned Into A TV Series

... with an all-Black cast

John Candy and Macauley Culkin scored a HUGE hit with their 1989 feature film comedy Uncle Buck. This coming TV season, actor Mike Epps will lead an ABC sitcom that will turn Uncle Buck into a weekly TV series with an all-Black cast. Part of me loves that Uncle Buck is being rebooted with an all-Black cast but another, larger part of me is afraid that a TV version of the brilliant film will fail … miserably. That being said, Mike Epps is a funny guy so … maybe this will work? More »

Holy Promo Photos! ‘Hannibal’ Season 3 Releases A Batch Of New Images

The gang's all here (and I mean everyone)

Yesterday we got to see the first trailer for the forthcoming third season of Hannibal, premiering on NBC in June. Today we get to see a batch of really cool promo photos for Hannibal season 3 and, as you will see as you click through the gallery presented here, it looks like characters that we thought we said goodbye to in season 2 will live on in season 3. As you may recall, Fannibals, it looked like one of the main characters was killed off in the finale episode last season (something that was teased at all season long in flash-forward scenes). But, if these new season 3 promo photos are any indication, it would appear that said character will live on … presumably to join the hunt for Dr. Hannibal Lecter. I cannot WAIT for this new season to get started. June 4 cannot get here soon enough for me … and for you, I hope?
