From William Shakespeare and Julian Fellowes
Last week we got our first look at Orlando Bloom and Condola Rashad as Romeo and Juliet on Broadway and today we get to see actors Douglas Booth and Hailee Steinfeld as the star cross’d lovers as they will appear in the new film version of the tale, aptly titled Romeo & Juliet. Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes adapted the play by William Shakespeare for this new film which also stars Paul Giamatti (The Amazing Spider-Man 2), Damien Lewis (Homeland) and Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl) … which sounds like very interesting casting. Click below to see a promo photo from this new version of Romeo & Juliet and check out the trailer for the film due out later this year. More »

Netflix Makes Emmy History
Earlier today we learned that the nominations for the 2013 Emmy Awards were announced here in Hollywood, CA and, as you may know, the Emmy Awards are given out to award excellence in television programming. But, for the first time ever, a couple of TV shows were nominated for Emmys that never actually aired on TV. Back in February, Netflix launched their first TV series not intended to air on TV and this morning that series, House of Cards, was nominated for 9 awards … including Best Lead Actress for Robin Wright, Best Lead Actor for Kevin Spacey and the biggest award Best Drama Series. Additionally, the second original TV series that Netflix launched, Hemlock Grove, received 2 Emmy noms today. History was made today by Netflix and the future of Emmy Awards nominations has been changed forever. More »

Take Your Pick
Back in early June we got to see what we thought was the cover artwork for the new Nine Inch Nails album Hesitation Marks, due out on September 23, but today we learn that there are actually 4 other covers that will be made available for the album. The digital version, the CD version, the deluxe CD version and the vinyl version of the album will each feature its own cover art, created by artist Russell Mills (the man who created the album artwork for the 1994 NIN masterpiece album The Downward Spiral). Depending on the version of the album you purchase, you will get a different cover … which likely means that rabid NIN fans will end up collecting all 4 versions of the album (ahem, which is prolly what I will do). Click below to see each of the album covers and learn about the inspiration and creation of each piece of artwork. More »
