Focus on the Positive
Earlier this week we saw a batch of BEAUTIFUL photos of Ryan Gosling at a promo event in Cannes, France where Ryan premiered his directorial debut film Lost River at the Cannes International Film Festival. I’m sorry to relay that critics of Gosling‘s film haven’t been too kind toward the first-time director’s feature film. One critic called Lost River “mouth-dryingly lousy“, another called it “colossally indulgent, shapeless, often fantastically and unthinkingly offensive and at all times insufferably conceited.” Oh and the film garnered old fashioned Boos from some people in the audience as well. NONETHELESS, Ryan got all gussied up in a hot tux to walk the red carpet at the official premiere of Lost River (along with his actors Christina Hendricks [Mad Men] and Iain De Castecker [Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.]) and he looked damn good doing so. Click thru the gallery to see Ryan Gosling wearing a tuxedo and forget all about those nasty film reviews. He’s so purdy, isn’t that really all that matters?
Red Carpet is the new 'Orange'
Earlier this week we got to see a batch of promo posters HERE and HERE for the forthcoming second season of Orange is the new Black on Netflix and today we get to see a collection of hawt red carpet photos from the OITNB season 2 premiere that took place in NYC last night. The ladies (and gentleman) of Orange is the new Black made their way to the The Ziegfeld Theater in Manhattan for last night’s premiere event and as you can see in this gallery, they all brought the fashion realness. Click thru the gallery to see if your fave castmember from OITNB strutted their stuff down the red carpet … and get excited! OITNB season 2 premieres on Netflix in just 3 weeks!!

The usually flawless Angelina Jolie suffered a pretty embarrassing make-up malfunction at a premiere event for the HBO film The Normal Heart in NYC last night. Angelina, wearing a simple black dress, emerged from her car upon arrival at the event with Brad Pitt by her side with white make-up powder all over her face and chest. Apparently, the powder was invisible to the naked eye and only became visible when camera flashes illuminated her face. Because Angelina always looks so perfect, it’s nice to see that she can make human mistakes. It’s unknown if Jolie had her make-up stylist fired (or killed) because of his fashion faux pas but if anyone can make smeared white powder look good, it’s Angelina Jolie.

Angelina Jolie and co-star Elle Fanning were among the attendees at a premiere event in London, England last night called The World of Maleficent at Kensington Palace. This event was a way to showcase some of the costumes and props that were used in Maleficent ahead of the film’s theatrical debut later this month. As you can see in the gallery presented here, Ange and Elle looked utterly fabulous on the blue carpet … as did actor Sam Riley and Angelina‘s main man Brad Pitt. There was a whole lotta hawt glam at The World of Maleficent last night. Behold.
We are a week away from the theatrical release of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 here in the US but last night the cast of the film convened in NYC for the US premiere of the film. As you can see in the gallery presented here, stars like Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx (with his cute daughter), Dane DeHaan and more got all dolled up in their finest for the big event. I am SO dying to see this movie already, I can’t even tell you. With the big movie premiere out the way, the only thing left is for the movie to come out so … COME OUT ALREADY :D

From the Red Wedding to the Red Carpet
With just about 2 weeks to go until the season 4 premiere of Game of Thrones on HBO, many members of the cast gathered in NYC for a big premiere event for the show. All of our fave GoT actors made their way down the red carpet at Avery Fisher Hall in Manhattan’s Lincoln Center last night to celebrate, in style, the much-anticipated return of Game of Thrones. Click thru the gallery to see who was in attendance and see what they wore on the red carpet last night. Now that the season 4 premiere party has been had, all we have left is to count down the minutes until the new season of Game of Thrones debuts on April 6.

Early last week we learned of the report that claims that actress Scarlett Johansson is pregnant with her first child. Since then, we’ve been hearing rumors about how her reported pregnancy is impacting production of the forthcoming superhero sequel film The Avengers: Age of Ultron, but we’ve yet to get official confirmation that she is, in fact, pregs. Last night, Scarlett made her first post-pregnancy reports appearance on the red carpet of the Hollywood premiere of her new film Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Altho ScarJo isn’t really bumping out just yet, she does appear to be a bit more curvy in the photos you can see below. Confirmation of her pregsness? More »
The Muppets take Tinsel Town
The stars of Muppets Most Wanted made their way to the El Capitan Theater for the Hollywood premiere of their new film. Real life actors Tina Fey, Ricky Gervais and Ty Burell were joined by their Muppet co-stars Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and more for last night’s gala affair. As you can see in the gallery presented here, the Muppets made their red carpet arrival in a 2014 Toyota Highlander which was all decked out for their exclusive use. It looks like everyone in attendance had the best time ever. I’m hoping to see Muppets Most Wanted this weekend at an early screening but if not, I’ll be sure to check it out when it hits theaters next Friday March 21.
At last, the movie is OUT
It has been many years since we first learned that RoboCop was being remade as a new film … waaaaay back in 2008 we first heard that plans were in the works to bring RoboCop back to the big screen but it took a long time for casting to get done and for filming to begin. THEN, the movie release date was pushed back from last summer to this winter … and last night, at long last, RoboCop finally premiered in Hollywood. The movie opens in theaters tomorrow and I’m hearing really good things about it. I’m very much looking forward to seeing this new RoboCop film in large part because it is set in the Detroit, MI of the future. Sigh. Click thru the gallery presented here and see some of the film’s stars, including Joel Kinnaman, Michael Keaton, Abbie Cornish, Gary Oldman and more, on the red carpet last night. I can’t decide if I’m going to see the movie at midnight tonight or wait until tomorrow. My anxious thirst is real so … we’ll see ;D
"I Am Not Famous Anymore", he says
Shia LaBeouf is doing everything he can, in the wackiest way possible, to generate as much attention to his attempt to inform the world that he is “not famous anymore”. While promoting his new film Nymphomaniac, he delivered one odd line to the assembled journalists at a press conference and then walked out and left the room. Then, later in the day, he walked the red carpet of his movie premiere in Berlin with a paper bag over his entire head with the phrase “I Am Not Famous Anymore” written on it … thereby ensuring that the incident would get more coverage then if he just walked the red carpet without a paper bag over his head. Some people find his behavior “crazy” or “odd” but I, personally, find it calculated and contrived. More »
