Meet the Heroes of District 13
The promo push for the upcoming sequel film The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 continues today with the release of a new batch of character posters from the film. A few weeks ago, we got to see the special limited edition Mockingjay poster that was released exclusively at San Diego Comic-Con but the posters we get today are much more interesting. Each of the characters featured above — President Coin, Haymitch, Effie, Plutarch, Finnick and Beetee — all represent the heroes from District 13 who are fighting against President Snow and the rest of Panem. These stark, colorless posters of the heroes of District 13 stand in opposition to the colorful, vibrant propaganda posters that were released previously of the “heroes” of the other Districts of Panem. Of this new batch, I think the Effie Trinkett poster is my fave. Check out the batch, see what you think. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 will open in theaters on November 20.
Sleepy Hollow, Fox‘s excellent breakout supernatural drama, will return with season 2 next month and the promo team at the network is working hard to remind us that this fun show is coming back. Last month, we got to see the first promo poster and the first promo photo for Sleepy Hollow season 2 (which were released to coincide with San Diego Comic-Con) and today we get to check out the just-released second poster for the show. Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) and Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) are seen reaching for one another as they are being pulled apart … BY THE FORCES OF EVIL! Check it out. More »

The promo for the final season of Sons of Anarchy continues this weekend with the release of the first official poster for SoA season 7. Last week we got to see the third teaser video and we’ve seen photos from the set of the show but the poster art featured below is the first of the season. The tagline The Final Ride is being used heavily to promote the season along with lots of skull imagery. Click below to see the poster and get ready, the final season of SoA is nearly upon us. More »

"You don't know what you've got ..."
In early July we got to check out the second, much creepier trailer for David Fincher‘s new film Gone Girl, due out in October. Today we get to check out the just-released first official movie poster for the film. In April, a teaser poster was released … which, honestly, don’t really look all that different from this official poster but … promo is promo, I guess. Click below to see the Gone Girl poster that you will see in theaters all over the place very soon. More »

Roomates. Lovers. Idiots.
We are just about 1 1/2 months away from the season 4 premiere of New Girl on Fox and today we get our first look at the poster art for the new season. Jess, Nick, Schmidt and the rest of the gang are all featured in this new poster art — wide-eyed and perfect-looking as ever. As you may recall, Jess and Nick decided to not remain girlfriend and boyfriend at the end of season 3 … so where do things go from there? Click below and find out. More »

WITH the release date of September 11
The Michael Bay reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will open in theaters here in the US next month but the film will open internationally in Australia on September 11. A genius in the promo department for TMNT thought it would be a great idea to work up poster artwork for the film that features the turtles jumping from an exploding building with the release date of September 11 listed at the bottom. Obviously, this decision has upset quite a few people who remember still the horror that took place in NYC 13 years ago this September 11. More »
Warner Bros. *just* unveiled a new promo poster that gives us our first look at actress Gal Gadot in costume as Wonder Woman as she will appear in the upcoming film Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (tho you may recall that we got to see Gal in costume as Diana Prince on set in Detroit back in May). As you may also recall, we learned earlier this year that this new incarnation of WW (the first ever to appear in a movie) will wear battle armor as part of her costume. As you can see below in the first
grainy photo (updated with a high res photo) of Wonder Woman, her armored costume looks sleek and — as far as I can tell — pretty damn good. Check it out. More »
Avengers Assemble, Again!
In celebration of San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, Marvel Comics has released a full set of concept poster artwork for the upcoming superhero sequel film The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Every day, for 3 days, a pair of posters were released that show illustrations of The Avengers battling the evil forces of Ultron. Click thru the gallery to see each of the posters, including a look at what all of the posters look like assembled into one larger photo.

For those of you heading down to Comic-Con this year, now you know what to look for. For the rest of us who cannot attend, click below to see what we’re missing. More »
Showtime announced today that the upcoming 4th season of their hit drama Homeland will premiere on Sunday October 5 at 9PM ET/PT and along with premiere date announcement, the network has also released the first trailer for the new season. As you may know, this new season of Homeland will be the first of the series after the death of the Nicholas Brody character (played by Damian Lewis) so the show will head off into a new direction. Click the embed above to get your first look at what’s to come in the new season of Homeland and see what you think. As long as Clarie Danes‘s character Carrie Mathison figures out a way to ugly-cry at least a few times this season, I’m totally find with the new direction of Homeland.
