We get the world we deserve.
Earlier this month we got to see the first promo video for the forthcoming second season of True Detective on HBO and today, courtesy of the show’s official Twitter profile, we get to see a batch of new cast promo images and poster artwork. Click through the gallery presented here to see photos of actors Colin Farrell as Ray Velcoro, Rachel McAdams as Ani Bezzerides, Vince Vaughn as Frank Semyon and Taylor Kitsch as Paul Woodrugh. The tag line of each of the posters is We get the world we deserve, which sounds ominously fitting for a show like True Detective. The new season will premiere on HBO on June 21.

Rome, if you want to
Thus far we’ve gotten HOT posters of Magic Mike XXL stars Channing Tatum, Adam Rodriguez, Stephen tWitch Boss and Matt Bomer. Today we get our first MMXXL poster that features a female star of the movie … unfortunately. Jada Pinkett-Smith, who has been kicking all kinds of ass in the debut season of Gotham on Fox will play a character named Rome in Magic Mike XXL. Apparently, her role in the movie is pretty significant … especially if she is worthy of having her own character poster. Have a look below. More »
Back in March of 2014, we got our first look at The Peanuts Movie when the first promo materials were released for the film. Since then, we’ve gotten to see two very cute and spoiler-free teaser video trailers for the forthcoming animated film (HERE and HERE). Today we learn that the promo train for The Peanuts Movie rolls on with the release of a batch of really great character posters that feature our fave Peanuts characters — including Charlie Brown, Linus, Schroeder, Peppermint Patty and, of course, Snoopy. Click through the gallery to see these fun posters and get ready, The Peanuts Movie will open in theaters on November 6.

The Ken doll is BACK!
In the past week, we’ve gotten Magic Mike XXL character posters which feature stars Channing Tatum, Adam Rodriguez and Stephen tWitch Boss. Today, we get the MMXXL poster that features actor Matt Bomer lookin’ his Bomer best. As with the previous posters, Matt is caught mid-dance move in this new poster artwork and as you can see below, because he is gloriously shirtless, we get a very nice look at his sick bod. Have a look, won’t you? More »
The TV Guide
Today is 4/20 and, as such, the 20th anniversary release of the 1995 stoner movie Friday is being screen in theaters around the country today. I’m sure it comes as no surprise that I plan on attending one of those screenings tonight. I think it’s pretty clear that I am a huge fan of screenings of classic movies in movie theaters and today’s screening of Friday is right in line with my fandom. I’m not sure how you plan on celebrating 4/20 today but my plan is to be at the movies. More »

"Corporate thought genetic modification would up the 'wow' factor"
Earlier this month, we got to see new footage from Jurassic World, the sequel film that is due to hit theaters in June. Today, we get something a whole lot better. Universal just released a global trailer for Jurassic World that features a LOT of new footage from the film. This new trailer gives us our best look yet at some of the dinosaurs that will feature in the movie … and it is jam-packed with action. If the first trailer released for Jurassic World last November was meant to highlight the wonder of the movie, than this trailer is meant to highlight the action. Click the embed above to watch this new trailer for Jurassic World and then click below to see a new movie poster for JW that features the massive Mosasaurus that we keep seeing in these trailers eating other massive animals. Last week we learned that big plans were put in motion for the first trailer for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice to be debuted in movie theaters around the country for lucky fans who managed to snag free passes. Then, the trailer leaked overseas and then was officially released early online. The BvS trailer event is still scheduled to take place later today with the showing of an “extended” version of the trailer (likely a few more seconds of footage) and possibly some free swag for fans. Late last night, Zack Snyder released the first official movie posters for Dawn of Justice on his official Twitter profile, posters which you can see in full below. More »
Face to Face
Universal Pictures just released a new poster for the forthcoming sequel film Jurassic World that features actress Bryce Dallas Howard‘s character standing face to face with the man-made genetic hybrid dinosaur Indominus Rex. The poster art is a nicely stylized representation of what the movie is all about … man vs. nature. Or, more fittingly, man vs. genetically modified nature. We are just a couple months away from the release of Jurassic World and all this teasing is driving me mad. I mean, I like it but it’s still driving me mad. Check out the poster below. More »

The New Guy
This week alone, we’ve gotten Magic Mike XXL character posters that feature actors Channing Tatum and Adam Rodriguez but today we get to see the newest poster for MMXXL that features professional dancer Stephen tWitch Boss, who has been added to the movie cast as a new character. tWitch is no stranger to the big screen, having starred in the last three Step Up movies (and, as you may know, Channing Tatum was the lead star in the first Step Up movie) so he should fit in perfectly with the cast of Magic Mike XXL. Click below to see his photo and get to good look at the new guy on the MMXXL block. More »
