"The Birth of a Plan Gone Wrong"
OK … this is really weird. A couple of months ago, The Hollywood Reporter caught wind that Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig would be starring in a made-for-TV movie for Lifetime and after they reported the news, Ferrell seemingly got so pissed that the secret was spoiled that he made it appear that the movie would be scrapped and would never be released. This week, billboard advertising the June 20 release of this odd Lifetime movie titled A Deadly Adoption started popping up all over LA, letting us know that the movie is being released after all. I mean … it sounds like a mess. The movie tagline for A Deadly Adoption is The Birth of a Plan Gone Wrong. LOL, OK. And the billboards have the glaring error that the movie will be released on SUNDAY June 20 when, in fact, June 20 is actually a Saturday. MESS. The laundry pile in my room had gotten too unruly for me to ignore anymore so I spent most of my night doing chores around the house, including laundry. My night tonight will be much more exciting because I will be making my way downtown to the Regal Cinemas Theater at LA Live to see the new earthquake disaster movie San Andreas in 4DX. 4DX is, as you may recall, a movie-going experience where the seats move and water, lights and smells are incorporated in the theater to make it feel like you are in the movie. It’s been a while since I saw a movie in 4DX so I figure San Andreas will be the PERFECT movie to experience with all the bells and whistles 4DX has to offer. More »

The OTHER Pixar movie coming out this summer
Chances are you probably forgot that back in 2011, we first learned that Disney/Pixar Studios was planning to make animated dinosaur movie. And chances also are that you didn’t even know that that movie will be released in theaters this year. We are well aware that the Pixar movie Inside Out will be in theaters this month but today, courtesy of the film’s first teaser trailer, we learn that a second Pixar animated film titled The Good Dinosaur will be out on November 25. Click the embed above to get your first look at The Good Dinosaur and then click below to see the first movie poster and read an excerpt from the press release announcement that gives us a better feel for what the movie will be all about. This Is The End
Back in March we got our first look at the first teaser poster and trailer for the forthcoming sequel film The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, the final movie in the Hunger Games franchise. Today we get to see the just released second teaser poster for the film that will be out at the end of this year. As you may recall, the promo for the last movie, Mockingjay – Part 1, utilized quite effectively a propaganda slant to the promo materials. It would appear that they have decided to use the same strategy this time around as well. Click below to see the poster and get excited, the end is coming soon. More »
Not a remake, not a reboot, not a sequel -- The Real Deal
While some remake/reboots turn out fairly OK and others look absolutely horrid, there is no denying that there is NOTHING better than the real thing. Which is why I am super excited that the original Jaws film is being re-released in theaters next month in honor of the film’s 40th anniversary. For two nights in June, Jaws will be back in theaters nationwide … which means you have 2 chances to see one of the best films in modern cinematic history as it was intended to be seen. Save the date(s), Jaws is coming back. More »

The latest trailer for the male stripper sequel film Magic Mike XXL was released at the start of this month and, since then, the promo push has been kind of quiet (altho, those photos yesterday of a mostly nekkid Matt Bomer at a beach in Maui, HI turned out to be pretty great promo) … until now. A new poster has been released for MMXL that features the lead characters all dancing up a storm. The men are shirtless, ripped and striking various poses … so, yeah, it’s a poster you have to see. Tomorrow is the big day that Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure theme parks will be open for 24 hours to not only kick off the forthcoming summer season (as they have for the past few Memorial Day weekends) but it will also start the celebration for forthcoming 60th Diamond Anniversary of Disneyland which will happen on July 17. I will be at Dland tomorrow with my Sons of Anakin friends but not for the full 24 hours. I’m staying in a hotel tonight so I can work in the morning and then get over to the parks for the rest of the day … it will be fun, crazy … but fun. My plan for tonight, tho, will be fun, too. I’m planning on seeing the new Poltergeist movie at an early showing before the movie opens in full tomorrow. More »

"I'm not a girl trying to be a star. I'm just a girl that sings"
Back in early April, we got to see the first video teaser for the forthcoming documentary film on the life of the late pop singer Amy Winehouse. Today, we get to see the just-released full-length trailer for the film Amy. As you may know, this documentary was filmed with the full support of Amy‘s family … but once the finished film was released, the family has decided to distance themselves from the project. As I understand it, the Winehouse family (Amy‘s father Mitch Winehouse, in particular) doesn’t come off looking too great in this film and they are angry. IMHO, it sounds like they aren’t happy that the truth about Amy‘s life and death are being exposed in this very well reviewed documentary film. I wasn’t the biggest Amy Winehouse fan but her immense talent cannot be denied. This is a film that I’d be very interested in seeing, if only to be reminded of the amazing voice that has been lost to us. Amy opens in select theaters on July 3.

OKAY … it looks like I may have jumped the gun a few days ago when I guessed a few days ago that Taylor Swift was finished releasing character posters for her new music video/mega-movie for her new single Bad Blood because since Friday, she released two more posters — including one featuring Cindy Crawford as a character named Headmistress (you can see 19, YES 19, Bad Blood character posters HERE). Today, we have one more poster reveal … I know, it’s crazy. Taylor has revealed that her BFF Selena Gomez stars in the video as a character named Arsyn and that she will be the lead actress in the vid. Click below to see the FINAL (I hope) poster for Bad Blood. More »
See all 19
For the past week or so, Taylor Swift has been promoting the HECK out of the premiere of her mini-movie music video for her new single Bad Blood, which will debut during the Billboard Music Awards this Sunday night, by releasing character posters for ALL of the folks who will be starring in the video … from Jessica Alba to Kendrick Lamar to Gigi Hadid and more. Today, Taylor has unveiled a second character poster that features the character she will play in the clip, Catastrophe (you may recall she already released a different poster of herself last week). The gallery presented here features all of the Bad Blood character posters which, I’m guessing, is all we are going to get (tho, if more posters are released, I’ll just add them to the gallery here). With 3 more days to go before the Bad Blood video is released, my hunch is that we will see a video teaser sometime this weekend … then the music video in full … which better be damn good considering all this promo hype.
