Movie Review: ‘Gone Girl’

The TV Guide

Last night was a fun but long night for me. I met up with my friend Eileen for a double feature movie date at the Arclight theater in Hollywood for a showing of A Nightmare On Elm Street as well as a showing of Gone Girl. I’ve been anxious to see Gone Girl for months so I really wanted to see it at my earliest opportunity … but I also wanted the chance to see Nightmare on the big screen again. The Arclight screens classic horror films all throughout the month of October and Nightmare was the first movie on my list. Eileen had a free night so she was able to join me and a blast was had by us both. More »

Watch: For Some Reason, A Sequel To The Nazi Zombie Horror Film ‘Dead Snow’ Is Headed Our Way

'RED vs. DEAD'
The zombie Nazis of 'DØD SNØ' are BACK!

Back in 2009, I saw a Norwegian horror film titled Dead Snow (Død Snø) that I found ridiculously entertaining. Later this year, a sequel titled Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead will be released in theaters and by the look of the trailer embedded above, this follow-up movie looks like it will be even more ridiculously entertaining. It would seem that Død Snø 2 will be a bit more humorous than the first film, which I think works for a movie about zombie Nazis. Have a look at this trailer and see what you think. If you are a fan of Dead Snow then I’m gonna guess that you may also be a fan of Dead Snow 2.

Today we get to check out the just-released follow-up poster that shows Katniss from the front. IMHO, this new poster lacks the intensity and power of the backside poster we saw last week but it’s a damn fine poster, nonetheless. Have a look below. More »

The New ‘Dumb And Dumber To’ Poster Is An Awesome ‘Lucy’ Parody

'The average person uses 10% of their brain...'

As we all impatiently await the return of Lloyd and Harold, we have a new movie poster to get us all psyched. Scarlett Johansson‘s Lucy was a pretty huge deal this year (can’t wait to see it… some day, lol), and I heard great, (and conflicting) things. It looks like the folks working on Dumb and Dumber To are taking advantage of the successful sci-fi action movie, and Jim Carrey has released the new movie poster, which is a play on Johansson‘s character.
