Disney Begins Has Begun Filming Production Of A Remake Of ‘Pete’s Dragon’ In New Zealand

Coming Summer 2016

Somehow I missed the news last year that Disney is planning to remake the classic 1977 movie musical Pete’s Dragon because today we learn that principal filming of this new version of Pete’s Dragon has begun in earnest in New Zealand. Pete’s Dragon, as you may know, is a beloved Disney film that marries live-action scenes with 2D animation … it tells the story of a young boy who makes friends with a big green dragon named Elliot who can turn invisible whenever he likes. This remake, I understand, will be roughly based on the original story but will employ modern 3D computer animation rather than hand-drawn 2D animation. HMMM. More »

The History Channel Released A Great Batch Of ‘Vikings’ Season 3 Character Posters

They're coming!

A few weeks ago, we got to see a new trailer for the forthcoming third season of Vikings that will premiere on The History Channel on February 19 and today we get to check out a really cool set of character posters for the show. Vikings, as I’ve made mention of many times, is one of my fave TV shows and I’m really counting down the seconds until it returns with all new eps. Even tho we still have a week or so of waiting to go before season 3 gets underway, I’m really super anxious for the show to come back so I may try and use some of my extra free time to reacquaint myself with the last few eps of season 2. If you’re a big Vikings fan like I am, I think you’ll enjoy this poster artwork. If you’re not a fan of the show, I implore you to check it out because it’s really a great series.
