‘True Blood’ Season 6 Releases A First Promo Poster

Earlier this month we got our first look at the first promo trailer for the forthcoming 6th season of True Blood on HBO. Today we get to see the newly released first poster for the upcoming season and as you can see below, the poster reminds us that no one lives forever … not even immortal vampires. As you can see in the trailer that was released previously, it would appear that things will get mighty dicey for the vamps in the new season of True Blood. This poster seems to suggest that one or more of our favorite supernatural characters might not make it out alive. More »

‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ Releases A Very Dramatic New Poster

Back in February we got to see a couple of movie posters for the forthcoming sequel film The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (HERE and HERE). In April, the movie studio unleashed a horde of character posters for the film (including Effie, Cinna, Peeta and, of course, Katniss). THEN, we got to see the first trailer for the film. Since April … news has been very quiet … until now. Madonna’s ‘MDNA’ World Tour Will Air On EPIX Next Month

Earlier this month we learned that Madonna is planning the release of a concert DVD for her hugely successful 2012 MDNA World Tour with the leaking of the tour backdrop video for her performance of Gang Bang. Today we learn that before Maddy releases her tour DVD, the entire show will air first exclusively on the cable network Epix. You may recall that Epix was the network that secured the broadcast rights for Britney Spears‘s Femme Fatale Tour so it makes sense that the network would also want to secure the rights to air Madonna‘s tour as well. Justin Timberlake Reveals The Release Date For ‘The 20/20 Experience’ Part 2

Back in March ?uestlove accidentally (on purpose?) spilled the beans that Justin Timberlake was planning to release a second album later this year as a part 2 of his newly released album The 20/20 Experience. You may recall that ?uest said the album would be out in November. Justin Timberlake himself confirmed the release of a second album by posting a photo of its release date on his official Twitter profile last night. We won’t have to wait until November to hear it, it’ll be out a few months earlier. Additionally, JT is announcing today that he is going on a World Tour this Fall all by himself … that is, after he goes on tour with Jay-Z this summer. Showtime Releases A First Poster For ‘Dexter’ Season 8

In the past few weeks, Showtime has released two short teaser videos (HERE and HERE), a full season-long trailer (HERE) and a fancier promo video (HERE) … but today, we get our first look at the first promo poster released for the upcoming 8th and final season of Dexter. As you can see below, Dexter Morgan (or, more likely, his Dark Passenger alter ego) finds himself wrapped in the same plastic that his victims get wrapped up in before they are killed … which possibly means that a very final end may be coming. ‘Thor: The Dark World’ Releases A First Teaser Poster

Thor: The Dark World is set to debut in theaters in November but today we get our first look at the just-released teaser poster for the sequel film. Following up the first Thor film and then The Avengers, The Dark World will pick up the action that will take place in Iron Man 3, which hits theaters next month. I understand the first teaser trailer for this new sequel film will be released next week but for now, we can sate our excitement on this teaser poster and the press release cited below. More »

OY! It turns out that I am still in recovery mode from my whirlwind day/night/early morning spent at Coachella on Friday even tho I spent most of yesterday in a semi-unconscious state. I crashed out early yesterday afternoon and only woke up to eat a little, watch some TV then go back to sleep. LOL. I’m but a shadow of my former rager self. I think I’m leveling out a bit more today but I still feel a bit wrecked. I have tickets to see a double feature this afternoon at the Arclight so it looks like that will be my plan for the day. The Arclight in Hollywood is showing an afternoon double feature of the Baz Luhrmann films Romeo + Juliet and Moulin Rouge … two of my fave films. Wee! More »

As you may recall, we got to check out the first trailer for the film last month. Today we get to check out the newly released second poster for Much Ado and as you can see below, this new poster hearkens back to 2011 when we got our first news about this film. ‘Jurassic Park IV’ Will Introduce A New Dinosaur

Back in July of 2011 we learned from director Steven Spielberg that plans were in the works for the production of Jurassic Park IV. Today we know that JP4 will hit theaters in June of next year but we are learning a bit of new info about the film. According to paleontologist Jack Horner, a “new” dinosaur will be introduced in Jurassic Park IV that will be a star of the film like the velociraptors were in the original Jurassic Park. At this point, we don’t know much about the upcoming sequel … but this new bit of info is exciting enough to keep me intrigued. More »

‘Skins’ Season 7 Will Bring Back 3 Familiar Faces

Back in January of 2012 we got our first look at Skins season 6 … and today, we get a small taste of what’s to come from Skins season 7. As you may know, Skins is a brilliant UK series that focuses on a group of characters for 2 seasons before they move on and focus on another set of characters. Seasons 1 & 2 focused on one group of characters, Seasons 3 & 4 on another group and Seasons 5 & 6 on yet another group. Season 7, we learn today, will focus on 3 classic characters from earlier seasons … Cassie (Seasons 1-2), Effy (Seasons 1-4) and Cook (Seasons 3-4).
