See Rizzo in Action!
In early November we learned that Madonna‘s eldest child, Lourdes Maria, would be playing the role of Rizzo in her high school production of the musical Grease. Today we get to see photos of Lola on stage in character as Rizzo on the show’s opening night as well as photos of Madonna waiting by the backstage door after the performance was concluded. It would appear that the acting bug has been passed from mother to daughter … let’s just hope that Lola has more success in the acting world than her mother ;) Click below to see photos and read deets about last night’s performance of Grease. Saints & Sinners, Gods & Idols
Lana Del Rey has finally unleashed upon the world her much talked about/ballyhooed/anticipated short film Tropico online after she premiered the film at an event in Los Angeles, CA last night. The film has a run time of just over 27 minutes and is … well, interesting. The scenes look like they were shot using Instagram filters and opens with cameo appearances by Jesus Christ, John Wayne, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley and Lana in the guise of the Virgin Mary (which isn’t the only religious figure she portrays in this film) … then the really weird (artsy) stuff begins to unfold. If you have the time, it’s worth watching I think. I mean, Hello, we’ve been hearing about this damn Tropico thing for what seems like an eternity so now that it’s out, we might as well see what all the hoopla is about. Along with the premiere of this short film, Lana has announced that she is readying the release of her next album. Click below to find out more about her new music to come. More »
Save the Date
After a hugely successful debut season on Netflix, the brilliantly engaging political drama series House of Cards will return for its second season on February 14, 2014. As you may recall, House of Cards became the first series ever to be nominated for a major award at the Emmy Awards without having ever aired a single episode on television … in September, it won an Emmys for directing, casting and cinematography. Now that the series is returning for a second season, I’m sure it will make every attempt to surpass the success of the first season. Click the video embed above to watch the just-released teaser trailer for House of Cards season 2 then click below to read a portion of the press released issued by Netflix regarding the return of HoC. "Happily Whatever After"
Last month we got to see the first trailer for the forthcoming 3rd season of the HBO series Girls and today we get to see the first promo poster released for the new season of the show. As you may know, Girls follows the exploits of a group of twenty-something hipster girls living in Brooklyn, NY and while I found the show pretty entertaining the first season, I wasn’t too crazy with the second season of the show. The trailer we saw last month looked interesting enough for me to tune in when the new season of Girls debuts next month but I’m not sure the poster featured below adds to that interest. Still, for the sake of completion … have a look below and see if the poster successfully works its charm on you. More »

No, Seriously ... this trailer is NSFW
Back in August of 2012, we first heard that pre-production and early casting talk was underway for director Lars von Triers‘s new film Nymphomaniac when Shia LaBeouf‘s name was attached to the project. This past July, we got to see a NSFW still from the movie that features Shia and it became clear that the movie was going to be, well, full of nekkidness. Today we get to see the first official trailer for Nymphomaniac and as I’m sure you can guess, the NSFW video features a lot of nudity which isn’t really appropriate watching in a lot of settings … but hey, it’s Friday, maybe we can use a bit of spice. Click the embed above to have a look at this trailer according to your best judgement. I’m not sure that the quick scenes presented in this trailer give a great feel for the plot of the film but you deffo get a feel for the eroticness in store when Nymphomaniac hits theaters.

The TV Guide
So, yeah, I realize that the site doesn’t look as BEAUTIFUL as it usually does today. We are having technical difficulties where images are concerned. BUT, I’ve just received word that the problem has been fixed and the images should start loading properly now — which is a huge relief. Much love goes out to the tech team that has been working on this all morning. Now Shannon and I can get down to our usual business. Last night was a REALLY quiet night for me. I had planned on going to a friend’s party but I started to feel unwell by late afternoon and after I rested for a bit, I really didn’t feel great enough to leave the house. I’m bummed I missed the party but I am feeling much better today … which is good news because I have a couple of FUN things lined up for tonight. First, Ollie and I are going to a screening of Mary Poppins at the El Capitan Theater (yes, the original film). Then, later on, I’ll be seeing Ollie/Hustle Roses perform a quick show in Hollywood. It shall be an amazing night! More »

Plus, Check Out a Trailer Teaser
Back in April of 2012 we learned that actor Russell Crowe signed on to star in a movie directed by Darren Aronofsky which is based on the Biblical story of Noah, the man who saved life on Earth by building an ark when the planet was destroyed by a flood sent by God. In July of that year, we found out that Aronofsky‘s plan for the film is to make it “scary as Hell”. In June of this year, we got our first look at some of the characters as they will appear in the film (by way of a set of character promo photos) and today we get to check out the just-released first poster for Noah. As I understand it, there has been some discussion between Aronofsky and the studio about how the film will end (essentially, the studio is worried that the ending that Aronofsky wants to go with will offend Christian viewers) but it sounds like those issues have been settled. A teaser of the film’s first trailer has also been released, which you can watch below. More »

"Crime Has a New Enemy"
Last week we got to see the second and, IMHO, very exciting trailer for the upcoming reboot of RoboCop and today we get to check out a few more promo goodies from the film. Despite having been delayed from this past summer to early next year, it appears that this new incarnation of RoboCop has no intention of slowing down. Promo materials are coming out fast and furiously, leading up to the film’s theatrical debut on February 7th. Click thru the gallery presented here to check out the newest RoboCop poster and checkout a few character promo photos that give us some insight into the film’s cast of characters. I am LOVING everything I’m seeing from this new RoboCop. I cannot wait to see more.

The First Trailer is On the Way!
Way back in June of 2012 we got our first look at Angelina Jolie in character as the villainous Maleficent in the forthcoming live action Disney film of the same name and in the weeks that followed, we saw photos of Angelina in action on the set of the movie as filming production got underway. All these months later, Disney has finally saw fit to release the first poster for Maleficent for our viewing pleasure. Click below to see Angelina in all her “horny” glory. More »

Like It Or Not
First the world was horrified by The Human Centipede, then the world was grossed the eff out by The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence) … now the world can look forward to the inevitable arrival of a third movie in the horror series titled The Human Centipede 3 (Final Sequence). We first heard about this third movie back in March of 2012 but, apparently, it hit a snag in production. Truth be told, I actually totally forgot about Human Centipede 3 until this first teaser poster came to light. Like it or not, another Centipede movie is on the way and according to the film description … it’s going to be grossest movie yet. More »
