Coming July 17
Ant-Man will be blasting into theaters next month and to get us excited, Marvel has teamed up with Entertainment Weekly for the release of a new batch of character posters for the movie. As I understand it, Ant-Man is being treated as the final movie of Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe Movies (Phase One ended with 2012′s The Avengers) so it sounds like the events that take place in the movie will be very important to to close out Phase Two before Phase Three begins with next year’s Captain America: Civil War. I’ll share more on that later, for now, enjoy these fun character posters that feature the film’s stars having a bit of fun with little ol’ Ant-Man.

Madonna needs a lot of help, apparently
A couple of days ago, we got to see a behind the scenes photo from the set of Madonna‘s music video for Bitch, I’m Madonna which was full of colorfully dressed back-up dancers. Today we learn that Madonna will have more than just back-up dancers in her video … she’ll also have actual mega (and not so mega) pop stars in the video as well. Taking a page from Taylor Swift‘s Bad Blood music video playbook, Madonna has decided to invite her rivals/compatriots/BFFs Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Rita Ora to feature in the music video as well … which would sound kinda cool had Taylor Swift not done this same sort of thing just a few weeks ago. Click below to see the poster art that Madonna shared on Instagram announcing the cast of pop stars that will co-star in her new music video. More »
No Shield. No Hammer. No Armor. No Problem.
Earlier this month we got to see a bunch of really fun promo photos for Ant-Man and now that we are less than a month away from the movie’s release, we get to see a fun new TV spot as well as 3 new posters. The more I see of Ant-Man, the more excited I am for the movie to come out. Paul Rudd is the real draw for me but because I’m such a Marvel Studios fan, I am really looking forward to falling in love with Ant-Man like I fell in love with Guardians of the Galaxy last year. Check out the TV spot above and then the neat-o posters below. More »

"Oh, HELL YES!"
Another year, another Sharknado made-for-TV movie is coming to Syfy … and today we get our first look at the latest installment in the TV movie franchise — Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! This time, the Sharknado action moves to our nation’s capital where the flying sharks wreak havoc on Washington D.C. LOL. Even tho I’m not really a fan of these silly movies (which is surprising, I’m sure, since it would appear that I’d be into this kind of thing), I have to give some bit of love a TV movie franchise that keeps both Ian Ziering and Tara Reid employed. Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! will premiere on Syfy on July 22 — WHO’S EXCITED!?
The gang's all here
Back in April we got to see a bunch of character posters for the forthcoming animated film The Peanuts Movie and today we get to see a new poster that features all of the Peanuts characters in one place. As you can see below, Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, Sally, Snoopy and the rest of the gang are all gathered together in a movie theater, presumably waiting to see their first feature-length animated film. Have a look below. More »

"The Birth of a Plan Gone Wrong"
OK … this is really weird. A couple of months ago, The Hollywood Reporter caught wind that Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig would be starring in a made-for-TV movie for Lifetime and after they reported the news, Ferrell seemingly got so pissed that the secret was spoiled that he made it appear that the movie would be scrapped and would never be released. This week, billboard advertising the June 20 release of this odd Lifetime movie titled A Deadly Adoption started popping up all over LA, letting us know that the movie is being released after all. I mean … it sounds like a mess. The movie tagline for A Deadly Adoption is The Birth of a Plan Gone Wrong. LOL, OK. And the billboards have the glaring error that the movie will be released on SUNDAY June 20 when, in fact, June 20 is actually a Saturday. MESS. Click below to learn more about this Lifetime made-for-TV movie starring Will Ferrell and Kirsten Wiig and make your plans to watch … or not. More »
The TV Guide
The laundry pile in my room had gotten too unruly for me to ignore anymore so I spent most of my night doing chores around the house, including laundry. My night tonight will be much more exciting because I will be making my way downtown to the Regal Cinemas Theater at LA Live to see the new earthquake disaster movie San Andreas in 4DX. 4DX is, as you may recall, a movie-going experience where the seats move and water, lights and smells are incorporated in the theater to make it feel like you are in the movie. It’s been a while since I saw a movie in 4DX so I figure San Andreas will be the PERFECT movie to experience with all the bells and whistles 4DX has to offer. More »

The OTHER Pixar movie coming out this summer
Chances are you probably forgot that back in 2011, we first learned that Disney/Pixar Studios was planning to make animated dinosaur movie. And chances also are that you didn’t even know that that movie will be released in theaters this year. We are well aware that the Pixar movie Inside Out will be in theaters this month but today, courtesy of the film’s first teaser trailer, we learn that a second Pixar animated film titled The Good Dinosaur will be out on November 25. Click the embed above to get your first look at The Good Dinosaur and then click below to see the first movie poster and read an excerpt from the press release announcement that gives us a better feel for what the movie will be all about. This Is The End
Back in March we got our first look at the first teaser poster and trailer for the forthcoming sequel film The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, the final movie in the Hunger Games franchise. Today we get to see the just released second teaser poster for the film that will be out at the end of this year. As you may recall, the promo for the last movie, Mockingjay – Part 1, utilized quite effectively a propaganda slant to the promo materials. It would appear that they have decided to use the same strategy this time around as well. Click below to see the poster and get excited, the end is coming soon. More »
Not a remake, not a reboot, not a sequel -- The Real Deal
While some remake/reboots turn out fairly OK and others look absolutely horrid, there is no denying that there is NOTHING better than the real thing. Which is why I am super excited that the original Jaws film is being re-released in theaters next month in honor of the film’s 40th anniversary. For two nights in June, Jaws will be back in theaters nationwide … which means you have 2 chances to see one of the best films in modern cinematic history as it was intended to be seen. Save the date(s), Jaws is coming back. More »
