Polaroid Photos Of Frank Ocean Reveal Him As The New Spokesmodel For Band Of Outsiders

The clothing line Band of Outsiders has been releasing Polaroid photos of famous folks modeling their clothing and today we get to see a series of photos that feature none other than musician Frank Ocean. Frank is wearing items from Band of Outsiders‘s Spring 2013 line and, from what I can tell, he surely wears the clothes well. A Sunday Funday

After a very emotional morning, I decided that yesterday was going to be a fun day for me … so I got out of the house and stayed bizzy. I made the trek down to Anaheim, CA to have some fun at Disney’s California Adventure and Disneyland before I met up with some friends for a fun dinner party together. I ended my night at the Echoplex dancing my buns off at the Part Time Punks danceparty that featured music by The Smiths & Morrissey. It was a long, active day … but it was really fun. More »

Disney Day

Yesterday was a bright, sunny and hot day here in SoCal … which, of course, meant that I had to make my down to Anaheim, CA to spend some time in Disneyland! I wanted to do some serious walking yesterday and I’ve always wanted to take daytime Polaroid photos at Disneyland so yesterday was the day. Despite the heat, I had a pretty fun day snapping away all over the resort. It was Bat’s Day at Disneyland so the park was teeming with goths dressed in crushed velvet, leather, long sleeves … all in BLACK! I have no idea how they managed to endure the heat but all I saw was smiling faces. More »

Here Come The Grooms To Be

Yesterday was a very fantastic day for David and me here in NYC. Having just flown in from London the night before, we got a good night’s sleep that left us refreshed for a gloriously sunny Sunday. David took me to his favorite running shoe store JackRabbit so that I could get fitted for running shoes … because I have committed to participating in a half marathon in September. Afterward, we were met by a bunch of our fave NYC peeps at a little get together organized by David’s sisters Lara and Eden to celebrate our engagement. It was a very full and very fun day. More »

Michelle Williams is the featured model in the Spring/Summer 2012 ad campaign for Boy. by Band of Outsiders. The clothing line, designed by X, features a mix of floral gowns, leather jackets, skirts and dresses that capture the mood of the season. For the 2012 look-book, Band of Outsiders decided to shoot Michelle using Polaroid Instant Film at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Playing In Fantasyland

Yesterday David and I make a LONG overdue trek down to Anaheim, CA to spend the late afternoon/evening at Disneyland. The last time we went to Disney was last July for my birthday … far too long ago. This time, we just wanted to go hang out for a bit … ride some rides, eat some junk, just play together. We didn’t spend anytime in California Adventure. With all the construction going on over there, we decided to just spend our time in Disneyland itself. More »

Hello / Goodbye

Last night was a very fun night for David and me. We got to hang out with two of our favorite ladies on opposite ends of town. First, we met up with our friend Corynne who is visiting LA this week from NYC. Then, we met up with our beloved Angie for a going away-type dinner before she moves back east to Boston, MA. We love both Corynne and Angie so much that we had a hard time splitting our time between them. More »

Happy 175th Birthday, Michigan

Today I have to send out HUGE Birthday Lurve to my beautiful home State of Michigan because today is it’s 175th birthday. Michigan became the 26th State back in 1837 after a silly skirmish with Ohio over land rights and today is celebrating it’s Dodransbicentennial. Cool, eh? Honestly, I had no idea that January 26 was Michigan‘s birthday despite my overachievement in Michigan Studies back in grade school. Nonetheless, I am very happy that I am able to BE in Michigan for the big day :D More »

Last Night’s Party

Last night was the night of our annual “let’s buy a bunch of food and booze and invite everyone we know over to our place so that we can see as many friends as possible all the same time while not having to leave the house” party and by all accounts it went off without a hitch. David, ever the gracious host, shelled out for some great eats, lots of booze and a hot bartender to entertain our friends. He took things one step further and asked our guests to make a donation to the LA Gay and Lesbian Center. It was a fab night with great friends. More »

Last night, one day before my actual birthday today, David organized a fun get together drinks thing at Saint Felix in Hollywood, CA with a few of my very close, beloved LA friends. As much as I’m not really all that excited about turning another year older (ugh), being able to hang out with all of my friends all in one place at the same time is deffo worth celebrating my birthday. Because we went crazy with the Polaroid camera, I totally failed to snap any photos with a digitial camera … or even my iPhone … but I can assure you, a great time was had by all :) More »
