5 Ways To Celebrate Shannon’s Epic Return To PITNB :)

Yes. I'm Back... Bitches <3

Okay, let me keep it one hunnid for a minute: it was money. I’ve been “on hiatus” for the past three months because of money. It rules everything around us, it saves and ruins lives, it feeds your family, and it determines budgets for blogs. It’s really that simple. Now, if it were up to Trent, I would be paid more money than the security guard at the Met Ball responsible for the greatest celebrity scandal video of all time. I would make what that guy made from TMZ every day. Unfortunately, it wasn’t up to Trent and so I was put “on hiatus” until he pulled out some big guns and worked very hard to get me back. I don’t want to go into too much detail, but I will say that if you do something and you do something well, you should probably get paid from that thing. Or, in the words of Katt Williams/Flava Flav: They got ta pay me, booooiiiii! Anyway, I just want to stress that it was not my decision, or Trent‘s for me to be gone. And, as of today, none of that really matters. Because, she’s baaaaack :) And we need to celebrate.

May The 4th Was With Me

The TV Guide

Yesterday was my last day at Walt Disney World for a really long time so I did my best to enjoy my day to its maximum potential. In honor of Star Wars Day, May the 4th, my friend Joel suggested that we spend some time at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to partake in the Star Wars fun that was going on all day long. We got there pretty early and managed to play in the park for a few hours before I had to head to the airport and fly back to LA last night. I always have the best time when I get to hang out with Joel and his family so i was the perfect way to celebrate Star Wars Day. More »

I Conquered Everest!

The TV Guide

Yesterday and night were really superfun for me as I was able to hang out with my friend Joel by day and then run the Expedition Everest Challenge by rainy night. Yesterday morning, Joel and I went to see The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (the second time for me) at an AMC theater that offers dine-in service while you watch the movie. Full menu, booze, a personal waitperson … all from the comfort of your cushy, leather chair. AMAZING! Last night, I made my way to Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park to run the 2014 edition of the Expedition Everest Challenge which is made up of a 5K race, an obstacle course and a scavenger hunt in the park. Altho it rained for a bit, the rain did stop and a really fun night was had in the park with all the other runners. I had a blast!! More »

#ThrowbackThursday: Who Remembers Wearing Underoos Underwear As A Kid?

I DO! I DO!
In the not-so distant future on a planet called Earth ...

While I wasted some time on Facebook today I came up on a really fantastic 80s commercial for Star Wars Underoos (thanks Tony) and loved it so much, I thought it would be fun to share for Throwback Thursday today. I used to LOVE wearing Underoos as a kid. In fact, it was my life’s mission from the ages of 8-10 to ONLY wear Underoos underwear. For those of you unfamiliar, Underoos were underwear sets (t-shirts and matching underwear) that were themed to look like super hero costumes (like Superman, Spider-Man, Wonder Woman) or movie character outfits (like any character from Star Wars). Up until the invention of Underoos (and in all the years since, I might add), underwear used to be so boring. I used to wear my Batman Underoos around the house, pretending I was the caped crusader (with a towel tied around my neck since Underoos didn’t come with capes, unfortunately). The video above is a vintage commercial for Star Wars Underoos for both boys and girls. Click below to watch two more vintage commercials for Underoos. More »

This Is What It’s Like Inside Shia LaBeouf’s #IAMSORRY Performance Art Installation

A PITNB Investigative Report

In the wake of the odd behavior actor Shia LaBeouf has been exhibiting in public recently, including his decision to walk the red carpet of his new movie while wearing a paper bag over his head that read I Am Not Famous, we learned earlier this week that Shia opened a performance art installation project thing here in LA at a gallery called #IAMSORRY. In a blatant rip-off/homage to Marina Abramović‘s performance art piece The Artist Is Present, LeBeouf is making himself available to the public by sitting in a room so that people can sit across from him and do whatever they like (within reason) as he sits there. At the urging of a few PITNB readers, I decided to head down to the gallery and check out Shia‘s #IAMSORRY project for myself and report back to all y’all. Yesterday afternoon, my friend Ollie and I made our way to the Cohen Gallery on Beverly Blvd. to see what we could find. Click below for my full report on #IAMSORRY. More »

A Return To Surf City

The TV Guide

Earlier this morning I made my way down to Huntington Beach, CA to run my second Surf City Half Marathon along the coast of the Pacific Ocean. I loved the course so much last year that I knew I wanted to run it again this year. Today’s race was my first bit of running since my crazy weekend of 4 races at Walt Disney World last month but I had forgotten about how painful that experience was and found myself excited for today’s run. The temps were very chilly this morning … in the mid 40s (with wind) so I was not a happy camper until the race started (and my body was able to warm up). I ran the race in a pretty good time and I got to meet an amazing Pink is the new Blog reader so … it’s been a good day, so far :) More »

‘Hell Hath No Fury Like A Woman With Daddy Issues,’ And Other Awesomeness In PITNB Reader Comments

PITNBr janalynn22 FTW!

Okay, let’s all pretend it’s still Sunday night and I’m posting this one time… and not falling asleep on the couch trying to watch Flowers In The Attic. LOL! I so meant to get this round-up posted last night but had a looong day that involved a really fun birthday party for one of my son’s friends. And BTW– if any of you have been trying to come up with a cool theme for a 5 year-old’s birthday party, these folks “rented” a mad scientist and it was awesome! All of the cupcakes were labeled according to the periodic chart, and we friggen launched a rocket, LMAO. Fun was had. And I was kinda wiped out by the end of it, so forgive me for getting this up late, and click inside for more!

‘The Thought Of Men In Beards That Aren’t Ironic Hipsters…’ And Other Awesomeness In PITNBr Comments This Week

PITNBr Caroline Is All About Harry's Beard

The year 2014 is in full swing and so is awards season. I’m writing this after an epic night of live-tweeting the Golden Globe Awards, and I had a total blast ogling the red carpet fashion and mainly freaking the freak out over Kerry Washington‘s baby bump. This was an interesting week in pop culture, with Mindy Kaling‘s Elle cover controversy, Meryl Streep’s epic Walt Disney rant and a Throwback Thursday that made us all feel hella old. Let’s relive the magic with some of the week’s best comments! Click inside for more!

Race 3 Of 4: The Walt Disney World Half Marathon

The TV Guide

Welp, I’ve run 3 of my 4 races this weekend and while I’m happy about the accomplishment, I’m trying DESPERATELY not to think about the fact that tomorrow’s 4th and final race will be LONGER than the 3 races I’ve run thus far. OY! But, we’re not talking about that right now … right now we’re talking about how I just ran the 2014 Walt Disney World Half Marathon. Last night, I grabbed dinner with my friend Joel, his wife Stephanie and their son Court to carbo load for today’s race … then I was up at 3AM again to hit the streets of Walt Disney World to run another 13.1 miles. I met a PITNB reader from Detroit and got medaled by my dear friend Aurora … plus I got to take photos with a bunch of really great Disney characters so … all in all, it’s been a pretty sweet day thus far. PITNBr OliviaFlorrickEsq Has Officially Been Converted To 'Scandal'!

What a week y’all, what a week! 2014 is friggen here! Trent is back from TokyOMG, which is kind of a bummer for those of us who were having a total blast Instagram-stalking him during his whole trip. And Jelena has officially reunited for 2014. But the best part about ringing in the New Year was that it gave me an excuse to watch some of the many movies I’d missed out on so I could make my indie movie list for y’all. It’s been great reading the responses and I love getting recommendations from you guys, so keep ‘em coming! And click inside for some over-the-top awesomeness in PITNBr comments this week! Happy New Year!!!
