A PITNB Investigative Report
In the wake of the odd behavior actor Shia LaBeouf has been exhibiting in public recently, including his decision to walk the red carpet of his new movie while wearing a paper bag over his head that read I Am Not Famous, we learned earlier this week that Shia opened a performance art installation project thing here in LA at a gallery called #IAMSORRY. In a blatant rip-off/homage to Marina Abramović‘s performance art piece The Artist Is Present, LeBeouf is making himself available to the public by sitting in a room so that people can sit across from him and do whatever they like (within reason) as he sits there. At the urging of a few PITNB readers, I decided to head down to the gallery and check out Shia‘s #IAMSORRY project for myself and report back to all y’all. Yesterday afternoon, my friend Ollie and I made our way to the Cohen Gallery on Beverly Blvd. to see what we could find. Click below for my full report on #IAMSORRY. More »

Earlier this morning I made my way down to Huntington Beach, CA to run my second Surf City Half Marathon along the coast of the Pacific Ocean. I loved the course so much last year that I knew I wanted to run it again this year. Today’s race was my first bit of running since my crazy weekend of 4 races at Walt Disney World last month but I had forgotten about how painful that experience was and found myself excited for today’s run. The temps were very chilly this morning … in the mid 40s (with wind) so I was not a happy camper until the race started (and my body was able to warm up). I ran the race in a pretty good time and I got to meet an amazing Pink is the new Blog reader so … it’s been a good day, so far :) More »

Okay, let’s all pretend it’s still Sunday night and I’m posting this one time… and not falling asleep on the couch trying to watch Flowers In The Attic. LOL! I so meant to get this round-up posted last night but had a looong day that involved a really fun birthday party for one of my son’s friends. And BTW– if any of you have been trying to come up with a cool theme for a 5 year-old’s birthday party, these folks “rented” a mad scientist and it was awesome! All of the cupcakes were labeled according to the periodic chart, and we friggen launched a rocket, LMAO. Fun was had. And I was kinda wiped out by the end of it, so forgive me for getting this up late, and click inside for more!

The year 2014 is in full swing and so is awards season. I’m writing this after an epic night of live-tweeting the Golden Globe Awards, and I had a total blast ogling the red carpet fashion and mainly freaking the freak out over Kerry Washington‘s baby bump. This was an interesting week in pop culture, with Mindy Kaling‘s Elle cover controversy, Meryl Streep’s epic Walt Disney rant and a Throwback Thursday that made us all feel hella old. Let’s relive the magic with some of the week’s best comments! Click inside for more!

Welp, I’ve run 3 of my 4 races this weekend and while I’m happy about the accomplishment, I’m trying DESPERATELY not to think about the fact that tomorrow’s 4th and final race will be LONGER than the 3 races I’ve run thus far. OY! But, we’re not talking about that right now … right now we’re talking about how I just ran the 2014 Walt Disney World Half Marathon. Last night, I grabbed dinner with my friend Joel, his wife Stephanie and their son Court to carbo load for today’s race … then I was up at 3AM again to hit the streets of Walt Disney World to run another 13.1 miles. I met a PITNB reader from Detroit and got medaled by my dear friend Aurora … plus I got to take photos with a bunch of really great Disney characters so … all in all, it’s been a pretty sweet day thus far. What a week y’all, what a week! 2014 is friggen here! Trent is back from TokyOMG, which is kind of a bummer for those of us who were having a total blast Instagram-stalking him during his whole trip. And Jelena has officially reunited for 2014. But the best part about ringing in the New Year was that it gave me an excuse to watch some of the many movies I’d missed out on so I could make my indie movie list for y’all. It’s been great reading the responses and I love getting recommendations from you guys, so keep ‘em coming! And click inside for some over-the-top awesomeness in PITNBr comments this week! What an insane week of insane insanity. First of all, Xmas 2013 happened and it was kind of a big deal. And then there’s the fact that our Trent has been having the best week ever in Tokyo, Japan. I’ve been working hard putting together some really fun round-ups for the end of the year, so I haven’t had a chance to post comments over the last couple of weeks. But I couldn’t skip out tonight because this is officially the last Sunday of 2013! Let’s celebrate the awesomeness of you PITNBrs one last time this year!

Merry Xmas to all y’all in the US but it’s already December 26th here in Japan so … Happy Boxing Day to my beloved Canucks and Brits!! Adriana and I decided that we wanted to spend our Xmas Day having fun at the Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea theme parks and boy, did we go all out. We managed to get out of the house, onto the train and to the park relatively early in the day … and were met with THRONGS of other people who also decided that Xmas Day was the perfect day to enjoy Disney. Despite the crowds, we did have a really amazing time. Most of our day/night was spent oohing and ahhhing at everything we saw. As a big Disney fan, it was really fun getting to experience a couple of totally different and totally amazing parks on the other side of the planet … and all on Xmas day!. More »
