So this week was filled with awesomeness and madness and more madness. Beyoncé continued her takeover with the premiere of her HBO documentary, which was awesome… mainly because we saw more Blue Ivy in 5 minutes, than we’ve seen in the whole year of her life. Nice! Y’all. I usually don’t get too personal here on PITNB but allow me to discuss… um… myself for a moment. A little while back I got an e-mail from PITNBr Emily, and as soon as I finished reading it (and laughing hysterically, and marveling at the fact that she works in my old hometown of Somerville, and clicking on the various links she’d sent me, many just for kicks), something very important occurred to me: I am famous AF. LMAO. No, really. Emily lit’rally made me feel like I was Miranda Kerr getting free clothes at a friggen Victoria’s Secret fashion show, because after she showered me with praises for my work on PITNB (as if I need more lurve, considering how awesome all of you are… but yeah, no, I still need more love… lol), she went on to offer me a new purse from her amazingly amazing site, Elemental Threads. I don’t personally have anything to share for Valentine’s Day this year but, as fortune would have it, I do have a bit of VD lurve to share with all y’all nonetheless. Pink reader Andrew sent me a very cute Save the Date engagement video a few weeks ago and, for some reason, the email got filtered out of my inbox. I happened to find the email late yesterday, just in time for VDay today. Andrew and his fiancée Rob are getting married later this year and they produced a video to let all of their friends (and us PITNBrs) know when they’re gettin’ hitched. Surf’s Up

Whew! Yesterday was a very long, very active day … mostly. I woke up before dawn to make my way down to Huntington Beach, CA to run the 2013 Surf City Half Marathon. After a 2 hour and 3 minute run (not my fastest half marathon but my second fastest), I made my way back to LA to grab brunch at Mauro’s Cafe at Fred Segal with my friend Lisa who is visiting from NYC. From there I made my way downtown to attend Ollie & Caleb’s Super Bowl Party … where I promptly melted into the couch to finally relax a bit. I did have fun, from morning to well after dark. More »
