New Mom Ciara has been taking to Instagram to share a few pictures here and there of her newborn bundle of boy, Future. But in the past couple of weeks she’s also been sharing pics of a new ‘do. It looks like she’s rocking some dreadlock extensions, which‚ depending on how you feel about dreadlocks (and their connection to Rastafarian culture, for example) the whole idea of extensions can be a little strange. Or a lot. But Ciara‘s giving shouts-out to her stylist so I’m guessing she had them put in. When I first saw them, I thought they were just for a photo shoot, but it looks like she plans on keeping them for a while. Anyway, I think she looks nice—there’s a Janet Jackson Poetic Justice vibe popping off, so that’s cool. And now she has matching hair w/ her fiancé, lol. Peep the gallery for more!

"We have no plans to work with him in the future.”
Vogue magazine has formally announced that they have “no plans to work” with photographer Terry Richardson in the wake of new allegations that he attempted to have sex with a model in exchange for a Vogue photoshoot. Model Emma Appelton posted on Twitter a screenshot of a message sent to her by Richardson where he flat out tells her that he will put her in his next Vogue photospread if she will let him “f*ck” her. The screenshot garnered a lot of attention yesterday before it was taken offline (and her Twitter account was deleted). A representative for Richardson claims that the message from Terry was “a fake”. Nonetheless, it would appear that the folks at Vogue believe the allegation against Richardson and have decided that they will not longer allow him to work for their magazine. More »
Have you ever wondered what your favorite bands and music artists would look like if they were LEGO characters? Well, thanks to LEGO enthusiast and photographer Adly Syairi Ramly, we now know. If you can believe it, Ramly photographed and edited all of the LEGO minifigures featured in the gallery presented here using only his iPhone 5S. Not only has he managed to expertly portray these famous musicians in LEGO form but he was also able to turn his photos into works of art. You can follow Ramly HERE on Instagram which features many more of his LEGO photo creations. I think The Smiths photo is my fave but, really, all of his photos are remarkable. Enjoy.

Red Hair, Don't Care
It’s time for another celebrity Disney Dream Portrait, and this one is starring one of my faves! Sigh. Jessica Chastain, you make life happy. And I have to admit, I’m starting to look forward to these photos. One year ago we saw Taylor Swift transformed into Rapunzel, and way back in 2012 the series featured photos of Russell Brand as Captain Hook, and Jack Black, Will Ferrell & Jason Segel as the Hitchhiking Ghosts from The Haunted Mansion. Now we get to see the ever-gorgeous Jessica Chastain as Princess Merida from Brave. Click inside for more!
Photoshoot By Tyler Shields
Sooo, do you remember the adorable little girl from the 2006 indie hit Little Miss Sunshine? Of course you do. She and her little belly pooch won our hearts with one of the greatest pageant/family road trip stories of all time. Well, 2006 was about a million years ago and since then Breslin‘s appeared in lots of new films, and I often see her looking pretty fly on the red carpet. But I don’t think we’ve ever seen her looking like this. Abigail posed for Tyler Shields (who recently shot those pics of Josh Hutcherson) and she looks pretty grown… and topless. SJP And The City
Earlier in the month we learned that the Oxford English Dictionary named ‘selfie’ the word of the year, which is pretty hilarious if you think about it. The fact is, this is definitely the era of the selfie, and the celebrity selfie remains a pretty big deal. Which is why I’m really digging Sarah Jessica Parker‘s new Instagram page. The Sex and the City star just joined the photo sharing site a couple of days ago, and hasn’t posted a single picture of herself yet! Click inside to see some of what SJP has been posting!

Okay So Yeah. This Is EXACTLY What Sinéad Was Talking About.
Well, these are especially awkward given the timing. Yesterday we got to read a very intense, very well-written open letter from Sinéad O’Connor to Miley Cyrus. In the letter– the points of which we’re still discussing– Sinéad makes great points about the music industry and misguided notions of sexual empowerment for women. These photos, to me, are great representations of that line between sexual empowerment and sexual exploitation which (for me) isn’t always that blurry. Peep the gallery and see what you think. The photos were taken by Terry Richardson, and there are a few that I actually like. But I suspect no one will be talking about those.
Oh, and my least-favorite photo of the batch has to be the one where she’s sucking her thumb and grabbing her crotch. LMAO! What IS that?!
This Isn't Especially Surprising
Well, I suppose it was bound to happen. Remember those cool, fully-clothed, 80s-esque promo photos we saw for Miley Cyrus‘s new album BANGERZ? Trent really liked the pictures, what with the pop singer wearing clothes and all (I, too, am a big fan of fully-clothed Miley), but alas. There had to be one BANGERZ nudie out there, right? And it kinda had to come out after her ex-fiancé Liam Hemsworth was spotted boo’d up with a model out in Beverly Hills. Le sigh. Click inside for more.

These Are INCREDIBLE!
Ages and ages ago I shared some really awesome self-portraits taken by a couple of teenage photographers, and we also checked out the brilliant work of Kimiko Yoshido a while back. Some folks out here really know how to take an amazing self portrait, and 14 year-old Zev Hoover from Natick, Massachusetts is one of them. I came across these photos a while back and have been meaning to share– they are so surreal and beautiful, I just love, love, love. Zev (who goes by fiddle oak) manipulates these brilliant photos, many of which capture the natural elements, and incorporates his own small body into them. I love how the tiny, tiny self is juxtaposed against the grandness and grandeur of nature and the rest of the world. His sister Nellie (who’s 17) is his collaborator and you can see more of his work HERE. Also, artists and photographers will appreciate his blog, which details some of his creative processes.
