Nicole Trunfio + Zion, FTW
By now you may have seen this photo once or twice on your Facebook timelines, but I needed to take a moment to announce that I AM SO HERE FOR THIS MOVEMENT. Elle Australia proves that working motherhood is a thing that should be acknowledged and celebrated with a brilliant fashion spread featuring model Nicole Trunfio and her baby boy Zion Rain Clark. The other day I just saw the cover, but today I got to see the rest of the spread and I love it to pieces. I also really love what Trunfio had to say about the importance of this shoot. I have very exciting news to share with you guys today. My very good friend Jeremy Kost is hosting a book signing of his new photography book Fractured at Bookmarc in West Hollywood, CA on Friday and you MUST come out and meet him (folks in NYC can attend Jeremy‘s book signing at Bookmarc at 400 Bleecker St. on October 21). I’ve known Jeremy for years but I’ve been a fan of his Polaroid photography for much longer. He is truly one of my favorite photographic artists and I’m so excited for the release of his new book Fractured. Large scale prints of some of Jeremy‘s images are currently on display at the CALVIN KLEIN COLLECTION in NYC (654 Madison Avenue) until October 27 where a very limited edition of Fractured is being sold. The large scale prints on display at the Calvin Klein Collection are up for auction HERE to partially benefit ACRIA, in conjunction with Paddle 8, in their fight to help those living with HIV/AIDS. Yes, my friend is amazing. Jeremy is graciously sharing the photos featured in the gallery presented here to give you a taste of his work. If you like what you see, you can come out and buy a copy of Fractured and meet Jeremy Kost at his book signing this Friday:
The images shared here are available in the artist’s edition of Fractured
which comes with an actual Polaroid
photo of your choice (details HERE
gave me a large size Polaroid
print as a housewarming gift when I moved to LA all those years ago and it has hung in my various homes ever since. He is a very talented photographer and I hope you can come out and meet the man in person. Hopefully I’ll see you at the book signing on Friday!

What's the real message here about body image?
Last night PITNBr OG Emily sent me a link to a D-Listed article, and if I ever had any doubts about whether or not Beyoncé was photoshopping her Instagram pictures, it’s gone now. She’s definitely doing it—or, more likely, someone is doing it for her (and doing a pretty wack job too). I know some people might think everyone is making a big deal about something that’s not a big deal, but it really irks me that she does this! Photoshopping those big, beautiful, perfect thighs just feels like a crime against humanity/feminism, and I need to get my feelings out. Click inside for more!

Yesterday was a very quiet, very relaxed day for me. After all my running around for the past couple of weeks, I decided not to do a single thing yesterday. No movies, no hang outs, no nothing. I spent most of my day indoors trying to stay cool from the massive heat outside. I did venture out last night to grab dinner but my Monday was one of those no shower days and I loved every minute of it. I did do a few things around my new place. I hung a few more things on my walls, including two pieces that I’ve been dying to put on display in my bathroom. More »
Photography by Emilie Elizabeth
My good friend and photographer Emilie Elizabeth was in attendance at San Diego Comic-Con this year with her trusty camera and she snapped some of the best photos that came out of SDCC this year … and she is graciously sharing some of her photos with us. Emilie was in San Diego all weekend long shooting many of the major events and as you can see in the gallery presented here, she really captured the fun of Comic-Con. She snapped photos of the Batman cowl/cape exhibit, she ran into folks like George RR Martin and Norman Reedus from The Walking Dead and she snapped lots of really amazing photos of many of the attendees all dressed up in costume. This gallery is just a sample of the photos she took all weekend long at SDCC — I think you will love them all. You can see more of Emilie‘s work on her official website HERE. Enjoy.
New Mom Ciara has been taking to Instagram to share a few pictures here and there of her newborn bundle of boy, Future. But in the past couple of weeks she’s also been sharing pics of a new ‘do. It looks like she’s rocking some dreadlock extensions, which‚ depending on how you feel about dreadlocks (and their connection to Rastafarian culture, for example) the whole idea of extensions can be a little strange. Or a lot. But Ciara‘s giving shouts-out to her stylist so I’m guessing she had them put in. When I first saw them, I thought they were just for a photo shoot, but it looks like she plans on keeping them for a while. Anyway, I think she looks nice—there’s a Janet Jackson Poetic Justice vibe popping off, so that’s cool. And now she has matching hair w/ her fiancé, lol. Peep the gallery for more!

"We have no plans to work with him in the future.”
Vogue magazine has formally announced that they have “no plans to work” with photographer Terry Richardson in the wake of new allegations that he attempted to have sex with a model in exchange for a Vogue photoshoot. Model Emma Appelton posted on Twitter a screenshot of a message sent to her by Richardson where he flat out tells her that he will put her in his next Vogue photospread if she will let him “f*ck” her. The screenshot garnered a lot of attention yesterday before it was taken offline (and her Twitter account was deleted). A representative for Richardson claims that the message from Terry was “a fake”. Nonetheless, it would appear that the folks at Vogue believe the allegation against Richardson and have decided that they will not longer allow him to work for their magazine. More »
Have you ever wondered what your favorite bands and music artists would look like if they were LEGO characters? Well, thanks to LEGO enthusiast and photographer Adly Syairi Ramly, we now know. If you can believe it, Ramly photographed and edited all of the LEGO minifigures featured in the gallery presented here using only his iPhone 5S. Not only has he managed to expertly portray these famous musicians in LEGO form but he was also able to turn his photos into works of art. You can follow Ramly HERE on Instagram which features many more of his LEGO photo creations. I think The Smiths photo is my fave but, really, all of his photos are remarkable. Enjoy.

Red Hair, Don't Care
It’s time for another celebrity Disney Dream Portrait, and this one is starring one of my faves! Sigh. Jessica Chastain, you make life happy. And I have to admit, I’m starting to look forward to these photos. One year ago we saw Taylor Swift transformed into Rapunzel, and way back in 2012 the series featured photos of Russell Brand as Captain Hook, and Jack Black, Will Ferrell & Jason Segel as the Hitchhiking Ghosts from The Haunted Mansion. Now we get to see the ever-gorgeous Jessica Chastain as Princess Merida from Brave. Click inside for more!
Photoshoot By Tyler Shields
Sooo, do you remember the adorable little girl from the 2006 indie hit Little Miss Sunshine? Of course you do. She and her little belly pooch won our hearts with one of the greatest pageant/family road trip stories of all time. Well, 2006 was about a million years ago and since then Breslin‘s appeared in lots of new films, and I often see her looking pretty fly on the red carpet. But I don’t think we’ve ever seen her looking like this. Abigail posed for Tyler Shields (who recently shot those pics of Josh Hutcherson) and she looks pretty grown… and topless.
