Just a few weeks ago we learned that Phillip Phillips had been crowned this year’s American Idol winner. The next day, they revealed that while Phillip is on top of the world professionally, physically he has been suffering from a painful kidney condition. He had 8 surgeries during the course of the Idol competition, and delayed the serious surgery till after the competition was over. Yesterday, he underwent that final surgery and is now in recovery and “doing well” according to his rep. More »

Justin Bieber Suffers Concussion At Paris Concert

Yesterday we heard about Justin Bieber’s concert hysteria in Oslo and today more drama has followed Justin in Paris as he continues on with his European tour. Reports are all out today that he suffered a mild concussion yesterday after he ran into a glass wall backstage at his show. TMZ reported that Justin became disoriented after hitting the glass, but he returned to the stage to finish his set. After the show when he was walking to his dressing room he passed out. Just yesterday we heard that the winner of this year’s American Idol is 21 year old Phillip Phillips, and today news has broken that the young man who is on top of the world has to undergo serious surgery for kidney problems. TMZ reported that Phillip needs to undergo urgent surgery, which will take place in the next 7-10 days. Apparently, he has needed to have this surgery for some time but has been putting it off until after the show because it requires considerable recovery time. Now that he has won the whole competition, and walked away with the top title of season 11′s American Idol, he can focus on his health before commencing the Idol Live Tour over summer. More »

Josh Hutcherson Shows Off His Broken Nose

The Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson was spotted here in SoCal this week sporting a bandage on his face. It would seem that Josh had a run in with a plastic surgeon. As you can see in the photo below, Hutcherson is nursing an injury that came from nose surgery. According to his press rep, Josh suffered from a deviated septum which he had fixed … but here in Hollywood, an excuse like that usually means it was a cosmetic “nose job”. More »

Adam Levine, frontman for Maroon 5, got himself all bruised and bloodied on the set of the band’s new music video for their single Payphone. Fortunately for Levine, the injuries were intentional … and fake. Adam posted a photo of his pretend injuries on his official Twitter profile from the set of the music video. We saw pics earlier in the week of Hugh Jackman getting into his character of Valjean for the upcoming film adaptation of Les Misérables. Today there are reports going around about another actor in the film, Anne Hathaway, who plays the role of Fantine, getting into serious preparation for the role. She is reportedly prepping for her role by undergoing a very drastic diet to lose weight. Her character, Fantine, is a destitute factory worker-come-lady of the night, slowly dying from an unnamed disease, probably tuberculosis, and they apparently want Anne to look skeletal in the movie. Madonna Shows Off Her Bruises From Tour Rehearsals

Last month Madonna officially announced the forthcoming MDNA World Tour and this month she is already in rehearsals for the tour. Maddy‘s manager Guy Oseary updated her official Facebook profile today with a few photos of Madonna showing off the bruises and injuries she’s sustained in tour rehearsals. The photos are close up images so we don’t get to see much, well, other than her bruising but … I guess we can be sure that Maddy goes thru a lot of pain to put on a good show for her fans. More »

John Mayer Has Announced An Indefinite Break From Performing Due To Illness

Just last week we heard that John Mayer’s new single ‘Shadow Days‘ off his new album, Born and Raised, was to be out soon followed by a spring U.S. tour. John actually started the album quite a few months ago but had to postpone it when he found out that he had a throat condition that needed him to take a break from singing. We thought he had made a recovery because work on the album commenced and the tour was announced, but sadly today John has come out and said that he will be postponing performing live INDEFINITELY as his vocal chord illness has returned and he needs to undergo more therapy and a significant hiatus from singing. Bee Gees Star Robin Gibb In Hospital For Cancer Setback

Bee Gees guy, Robin Gibb, has been hospitalized after suffering a setback in his fight with cancer. The musical icon has been undergoing chemotherapy for colon cancer for a few months now, but was admitted to a hospital in London this week. A rep for the musician has confirmed that the hospitalization is a routine part of his treatment. It is always devastating to see anyone, including such big a musical icon, go through the awful fight against cancer. Our thoughts are with you Robin. More »
