A new lawsuit alleges her cancer diagnosis could have been avoided
Actress Shannen Doherty is suing her former management company alleging that her newly revealed breast cancer diagnosis and subsequent possible treatment (including mastectomy and chemo therapy) could’ve been avoided if the Tanner Mainstain management company hadn’t been negligent in their duties. Because of her lawsuit, it has been revealed publicly for the first time this week that Shannen has breast cancer, which is horrifying news. Doherty alleges in her suit that her former management company stopped paying for her health insurance and she was, therefore, let go by her insurance agency without her knowledge. When she finally signed up for new insurance coverage, she was diagnosed with breast cancer — something she says could’ve been avoided had she not been dropped from her former insurance coverage due to her former management company’s failure to pay her monthly premiums. It’s a bit complicated but the big takeaway is that Shannen Doherty is battling cancer, which is just terrible news. More »

A tragic situation gets even worse
In the past week or so, in the wake of the sad news that all hope for Bobbi Kristina‘s recovery is gone, a member of Bobby Brown‘s family has reportedly been shopping a deathbed photo of Bobbi Kristina to various media outlets. Bobby and the Houston family are disgusted by this attempt by a member of the Brown family to capitalize on BK‘s death and, as such, the decision has been made to ban all members of the Brown family from Bobbi‘s hospice room. Ugh, so gross. Additionally, we learn today that in the wake of that $10 million dollar lawsuit leveled against Bobbi‘s boyfriend Nick Gordon, he has begun to work on his defense. The lawsuit claims that he is responsible for the accident that left BK in a coma. He is countering with his assertion that her accident was due to her drug use. More »
TMZ reports that criminal prosecutors will be filing murder charges
We learned yesterday that after doctors explained that Bobbi Kristina Brown‘s comatose condition continues to worsen, the Brown/Houston family decided to take Bobbi Kristina off all medication and put her in hospice care, seemingly resigning themselves to the reality that she doesn’t have long to live. Today we learn that in the wake of the family’s decision to essentially “let her go”, the legal conservatorship for BK has filed at $10 million dollar lawsuit against her boyfriend Nick Gordon claiming that he not only physically and emotionally abused her but that he also stole money from her. And if Nick thought his weepy bullshizz on the Dr. Phil show earlier this year was a low point for him, he ain’t seen nothing yet. TMZ is reporting that criminal prosecutors are coming for Nick with charges that his actions led to Bobbi Kristina‘s accident, which led to her coma, which will eventually lead to her death. It sounds like Nick will be facing murder charges shortly after BK‘s death. Wow. More »
She is off all medication, in hospice care, it's only a matter of time
Last month, Cissy Houston updated us on her granddaughter Bobbi Kristina Brown‘s medication condition revealing that there has been no change in her status (as she remains in a coma resulting from her bathtub drowning back in February). Today, we learn from family spokesperson Patricia Houston that the family appears to have finally come to terms with the reality that BK is gone for good. Houston released a statement revealing that Bobbi Kristina has been moved to hospice care. Apparently, because her condition continues to deteriorate, Bobbi has been taken off all medication … which means that the family is ready to let God’s will be done. While the family held on to hope longer than most people in their situation would have, it looks like they are finally coming to grips with the tragic reality of BK‘s situation. More »

In recent weeks, we’ve seen stunning photos of the glorious Taraji P. Henson on the cover and in the pages of Emmy magazine and Allure magazine. Today we get a new Taraji update but this one isn’t so great. As you can see below, Taraji shared a photo on her official Instagram profile that shows an IV sticking out of her wrist in the wake of a bad case of food poisoning. Because Henson has been so busy lately (running herself ragged) and because her bout of food poisoning was so severe, she had to be hospitalized. It sounds scary but according to Taraji, she will be just fine. More »

“The case is settled, but the pain is always going to be there”
Last week we learned that comedian Tracy Morgan reached a settlement with Walmart in the lawsuit he brought against the company after one of their trucks was involved in a 6-car accident last June that left one of Morgan‘s friends dead and resulted in severe injuries for Tracy which he is still recovering from today. Earlier today, the Today show aired Tracy‘s first interview since the accident where he opened up about the pain he has endured since that fateful day last summer. My guess is that Morgan was advised to give no interviews at all until his legal case with Walmart was settled and now that a financial settlement has been reached and the case is over, he is free to share his painful experience with the world. The interview is emotional and sad to watch but it’s clear that Tracey is on the mend and he is resolved to get back on the performance stage to make people laugh once again. Click below to watch Tracey Morgan‘s interview with Today and hear how much he has struggled and see how well he is doing today. More »

"We are pleased to have reached an amicable settlement that ends this litigation"
It was almost a year ago that comedian Tracy Morgan was seriously injured in a car accident that involved 6 cars, including a Walmart truck which left fellow comedian James McNair dead. As you may recall, the recovery process for Morgan was slow-going and scary at times. Morgan immediately sued Walmart for damages and the company responded by trying to place the blame for the accident on Tracy — even tho he was a passenger in one of the 6 vehicles that was involved in the accident. Today we learn that both sides have reached a settlement that has put an end to the lawsuit. Both Tracy Morgan and Walmart have released statements regarding the settlement that make clear that both sides are very happy with the outcome. More »

Last week, our dear Britney Spears gave us a bit of a scare when she injured her ankle during a performance of her Las Vegas show Britney: Piece of Me that rendered her in capable of performing for the rest of the weekend (tho, she appeared well enough to play a bit of beach football with her loverman on Sunday and she was well enough to hobble onto The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week to announce a new batch of PoM concert dates). Last night, Britney shared a photo from the doctor’s office showing that her ankle brace boot has been removed and she has been given the all clear to resume performances starting tonight! More »
A couple of days ago, we learned the upsetting news that Britney Spears sprained her ankle while performing in Las Vegas and was forced to cancel two of her shows this weekend. Today we learn that Britney is on the mend and having as much fun with her injury as possible. As you can see below, Britney has been fitted with a boot brace that will allow her to be mobile while keeping her ankle secure. Because she has more Piece of Me performances ahead and a big performance at the Billboard Music Awards, I’m really hoping she will be able to heal fully and quickly. More »

THE TIME TO PRAY IS NOW!!!
Um, the time to worry may be upon us. Earlier today we learned that Britney Spears injured her ankle last night during her performance of Britney: Piece of Me in Las Vegas after she fell on stage. Britney immediately assured fans that she was “OK” but TMZ is now reporting that she’s not really OK after all. Britney has been forced to cancel her next two performances so that her ankle can heal. The site is irresponsibly using the word “busted” in their reporting but, thus far, we don’t know how serious her injury really is. Hmmm. More »
