"I consider being gay among the greatest gifts God has given me."
Apple CEO Tim Cook has never made his sexuality a secret among his family, friends and co-workers but it’s not something that the man has spoken about or acknowledged publicly … before now. Back in June, Cook was accidentally outed on TV when a host on CNBC spoke openly about Tim‘s homosexuality on live television. Even after he was outed, he never denied his homosexuality … but he never actually commented on it either, again, until now. In an essay that he wrote for Bloomburg Businessweek, Tim Cook formally comes out as gay in the most public way possible telling the world, “I’m proud to be gay, and I consider being gay among the greatest gifts God has given me.” More »

NFL Teamless once again
Sigh. In early September, we learned that the Dallas Cowboys officially signed Michael Sam to join their practice squad after he was let go from the St. Louis Rams football team. Today we learn that the Cowboys have decided to cut Sam from their team as well. Michael, as you might be well aware, became the first openly gay player in the NFL earlier this year but now … he’s teamless again :( More »

Royal Baby #2 will be here circa...
Catherine, Duchess of Crambridge, I feel for ya! Whenever a due date is announced (unless you’ve been concealing your pregnancy for, say, 7 months or so) it always sounds light years away. A full-term pregnancy is not 9 months folks. It’s 10 months. 40 long weeks, which I imagine feel even longer when you’re on bed rest, or suffering from severe morning sickness, like the Duchess. This morning we got the big news from Kensington Palace about the second Royal Baby’s expected time of arrival, so click inside for more!
"I’m sure Chris was kidding"
Yesterday we read interview comments made by Sex and the City star Chris Noth where he referred to Sarah Jessica Parker‘s SaTC character Carrie Bradshaw as “a whore”. Today we hear from SaTC co-creator and writer Michael Patrick King who has issued an official statement in response to Noth‘s whore comment. You see, according to King, Noth was just “kidding” when he “joked” about Carrie being “a whore” and, therefore, IT’S OK! UGH. Click below to read the full text of Michael Patrick King‘s statement as well as a statement released by SaTC writer Jenny Bicks on this “Carrie is a whore” thing. More »

"At my concerts, I make sure everybody has as good a time as possible."
So … yesterday we got to see video of Kanye West inadvertently yelling at a couple of wheelchair-bound concert goers in Sydney, Australia and today we get to hear Kanye‘s response to the release and circulation of that video. In case you are unaware, Kanye stopped his concert in Sydney and demanded that every single person in the audience stand up on their feet. He refused to resume the concert until EVERY SINGLE PERSON was standing up. He saw two people sitting down and he kept berating them from the stage until they stood up. He even sent his security detail to go find out why they were still seated after he commanded them to stand and discovered that the people sitting down were doing so because they were in wheelchairs. West performed a show in Brisbane, Aus last night and commented from the stage about the incident … and as you can imagine, he did so in spectacular Kanye West fashion. More »

Royal Bump Watch, 2014
We are all waking up to some very big news from the Royal family! Another bump watch is beginning, as Princess Kate and Prince William are expecting their second child. You may remember Vanity Fair celebrated Royal Baby Prince George’s first birthday back in July with a family cover—well, it sounds like Kate was just a few weeks shy of conceiving the second baby when that issue came out. This is definitely exciting news, though I was also feeling sympathetic, as the Duchess of Cambridge is—once again—afflicted with severe morning sickness. Click inside for more.
