Watch: ‘Good Morning America’ Takes Us Backstage Of ‘Hedwig And The Angry Inch’

Wait til you see the Pink Room
Good Morning, Hedwig

Good Morning America featured the new Broadway production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch early this morning by interviewing Neil Patrick Harris, John Cameron Mitchell and others on the show’s stage. In the video featured above, we also get a quick look at NPH‘s pink dressing room and we get to see some neat behind the scenes stuff from the show. I have to say, tho, that Neil looks shockingly thin for the role but I guess it’s true that artists have to suffer for their work. This video is a great taste of the show that I am dying to see. I hope you enjoy it.

The all-star cast is touring the country
'Jesus Christ' is hittin' the road

A new production of the Andrew Lloyd Weber musical Jesus Christ Superstar is hittin’ the road this Summer on a US tour that is being billed as a massive concert tour. In this new production, Incubus singer Brandon Boyd will play Judas Iscariot, former Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams will play Mary Magdalene, *NSync‘s JC Chasez will play Pontius Pilate, Sex Pistols front man Johnny Rotten will play King Herod and newcomer Ben Forster will play Jesus Christ. To promote the new show, Brandon and Michelle performed the show’s title track on Good Morning America earlier today. They actually sang the Hell out of the song. For The Record: ‘Tarantino’ RULES!

The TV Guide

Last night I was invited to the opening night performance of For The Record: Tarantino at DBA nightclub in West Hollywood, CA and I had the best time ever. Tarantino is a fantastic production where songs and scenes from various Quentin Tarantino movies are performed in an interwoven fashion that makes all the sense in the world when you see it live. Who knew that the themes of violence, comedy and music that exist in Tarantino‘s body of work could be reconfigured into a a clever live show? I was really amazed by the strong vocal performances and the inventive stage direction. I spent a lot of time just marveling at how brilliant the whole concept of this show truly is. Needless to say, I had a great time last night and I can’t wait to go back and see it again. More »
