"I'm Jimmy Fallon and I’ll be your host … for now."
About 2 weeks ago, Jay Leno stepped down as host of the late night talk show The Tonight Show so that he could pass the baton on to new host Jimmy Fallon. Last night, Fallon hosted his first episode of The Tonight Show to some fanfare. For the most part, Jimmy‘s Tonight Show felt similar to his long-running stint as host of Late Night so longtime fans were likely pleased with his debut last night. Jimmy brought out guests U2 and Will Smith along with a strong of surprise guest stars who wanted to cameo on Fallon‘s first episode of The Tonight Show. Click below to watch lots of video highlights from last night’s Tonight Show and see how much fun this new era of late night talk will be. More »

Preview every song on Kylie's new album
Kylie Minogue will drop her new album Kiss Me Once on March 18 and to get us all excited for its release, she is giving us an album sampler that lets us preview the 11 songs on the standard version of her album. As you already know, Kylie has released the album’s first single Into The Blue but to tide us over until the entirety of her Kiss Me Once album is released, she gives us snippets of the songs on her album in the video embedded above. Take a listen and see what you think. It’s hard to judge an album based on snippets but I am happy to say that I like what I hear thus far. The sound is classic Kylie but with an updated feel, exactly what she is hoping to go for, I think. Sample Kiss Me Once above and then let me know what you think below.
From the 'Femme Fatale' Era
Over the weekend a previously unreleased Britney Spears song titled Unbroken made its way to the Internets and as you can hear in the embed above, the track is a pretty sweet offering for Britney fans. Snippets of the song surfaced online before but this is the first time the entire demo track has been released in full. As I understand it, the song was created during Britney‘s Femme Fatale era and was produced by Fraser T Smith, who produced the bonus track Scary that appeared on the Japanese version of FF. Click the video above to hear this demo version of Unbroken in full and see what you think. Personally, I love it. I think it would’ve fit very nicely on Femme Fatale. Please enjoy.
Driving In Your Car
Last September we saw video of Twin Shadow performing a cover of the Tori Amos song Silent All These Years and today we get to see a new video of the group covering another of my all time favorite songs for their Under the CVRS project. This time around, Twin Shadow put their spin on The Smiths‘s classic song There Is A Light That Never Goes Out. I was inspired to share this song with you, A.) because it’s an interesting take on the song and B.) because I’m very excited that I’ll get to dance to the original version of this song at a Part Time Punks danceparty in Echo Park tonight that will feature nothing but music from The Smiths and Morrissey. I hope you will enjoy this cover version of There Is A Light as much as I do. And if in LA and free tonight, come out to the Echoplex tonight to dance with me all night long :D
The Full Concert Airs in April
Late last year, Nine Inch Nails filmed a live concert episode of Austin City Limits when their tour took them through Texas and altho the full episode of ACL won’t air on PBS until April 6, we get to see the full NIN performance of their song Came Back Haunted. We may get another full song performance or two before this episode of Austin City Limits airs in April but you gotta makes sure to tune in and watch the episode in full! Enjoy!!
Yesterday we got to hear the sick and very dirty Kanye West remix of Beyoncé‘s song Drunk In Love and today we get our first look at a music video of sorts for the track. The footage used in this video is from a photoshoot that Bey did for Essence magazine back in 2011 (thanks for the head’s up, Jordan). I wondered aloud yesterday whether or not the remix would be released officially … and the release of this video gives me hope that the track may yet be released in some sort of official capacity. Bey uploaded the video teaser on You Tube before she took it down … so the video above is a grainy copy of her original preview. She did upload the teaser in portions on her official Instagram profile, so you can check out this teaser in a bit better quality below. More »
"You love the way I'm turnt"
Kanye West, who earlier this week went off on one of his infamous concert rants against two radio DJs, just dropped a sick remix of Beyoncé‘s song Drunk In Love … proving that he can be a lover as well as a fighter. It’s unknown at this point if this remix will be made available for sale or inclusion on an official release but after having listened to it a few times, I deffo think it’s a sick enough remix for official release. Kanye performs a new rap vocal that he crafted for the song and even includes a new rap vocal from his BFF and Bey‘s husband Jay Z. I mean, what else do you need to know? Click below and give it a listen. More »
