Earlier today we learned that the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards will be paying tribute to our dear living legend Britney Spears in honor of her contributions to pop music and pop culture. Altho NO OFFICIAL WORD has yet been released about what, exactly, this tribute will entail a curious document has leaked its way to the Internets that claims to list the performers who will be participating in the Britney Spears Tribute. The Go-Go’s Get A Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame

At long last, legendary rock band The Go-Go’s were honored yesterday with their very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. 30 years after the female group wrote, produced and performed their #1 album Beauty and the Beat (which is the ONLY time that has EVER been done), The Go-Go’s were given the 2,444th star on the Walk of Fame. In years past, MTV pop music icons like Michael Jackson, Madonna and Janet Jackson have been honored with special tributes to their lasting impact on music and pop culture. This year, it has wisely been decided that Britney Spears will become the latest MTV icon to be honored in this way. First Listen: Trent Reznor Releases The First Music From ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’

The official website for the upcoming US version of the Swedish film The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo has been updated with our FIRST LISTEN of some of the music created by Trent Reznor for the film’s official soundtrack. As you may know, Dragon Tattoo is directed by the genius David Fincher who tapped Reznor to score his last film The Social Network (which won Reznor his first Academy Award for Best Original Score). First we heard Crystalline, then we heard Cosmogony … today we get our first listen of the new Björk song Virus, the third released track from her upcoming new album Biophilia. This latest song has a bit of a lullaby sound to it, toy pianos and all. The song is available for download within the Biophilia iPhone/iPad app that was released a couple of weeks ago. First we were teased with behind the scenes photos … then we were teased with behind the scenes video … but today, after all that teasing, we finally get to see the full music video for the new Maroon 5 single Moves Like Jagger which, you should be well aware by now, features a guest performance by Christina Aguilera. As you might guess from the single title, the video is full of tributes and homages to Mick Jagger, the frontman of Rolling Stones. Britney Spears continued her concert tour domination this weekend with a swing thru the New York/New Jersey area and had a very special guest in the house at her Atlantic City, NJ stop. Proving that pretty much EVERYONE loves Britney Spears, fellow popstar Lady Gaga attended Britney‘s concert in AC … and by all accounts, had herself a fun time.
