A Brutal Video for a Brutal Song
Yesterday we got to hear in full the latest single from Nine Inch Nails … a track titled Everything taken from the forthcoming new album Hesitation Marks. The song’s impact on fans was so great that one industrious person decided to work up a fanmade music video for the song. The video can be seen in full in the embed above and it really speaks for itself. I like to believe that Trent Reznor himself can appreciate the hard work and sentiment that went into the making of this video. Give it a look, tell me what you think. Please enjoy.
This is a Woman's Instagram
Back in June, Cher announced the release of her new single titled Woman’s World. A few days after, she performed the song for the first time ever on The Voice. Since then, there has been no talk or promo whatsoever for the track … until now. Cher is finally ready to release a music video for Woman’s World and to preview the vid, she posted a short snippet on her official Instagram profile. Click below to take a look. More »

JT, JC, LB, JF & CK 2gether Again?
STOP THE PRESSES! There is a rumor going around, started by The New York Post, that the members of the boyband *NSync may reunite as one this Sunday at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. Justin Timberlake, by far the most famous member of the group, is being honored at the VMAs this year with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award and to celebrate, the rumor says, the rest of *NSync (JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick) will be on hand to celebrate with him … and POSSIBLY PERFORM?! We don’t know for sure but … that’s the word going around. HMMM. More »
'Wrapped In Red'
Kelly Clarkson may be in the final phase of wedding planning these days but she’s also readying the release of a new album that will be out this Xmas. Wrapped In Red will be Kelly‘s first Xmas album and today we get to see the cover artwork selected for the release. Kelly shared the image on her official Twitter profile and she looks, I have to say, absolutely stunning in the coverphoto. Click below to see the full cover art for Wrapped In Red and get your first look at the Xmas album that will be stuffed in all the stockings this holiday season. More »
... and it's a Happy song
Nine Inch Nails will formally release the new single Everything tomorrow but we get to hear the song in full today … right here, right now. The track is the latest from the forthcoming new album Hesitation Marks, due out next month, and as you can hear in the embed above … it’s quite a departure from the music Nine Inch Nails has released in the past. Everything is a happy song … it’s a happy, upbeat and extremely positive song … which, I have to admit, is quite shocking for me. I like the song but it’s going to take me minute to wrap my head around the reality of such a different offering from NIN. The lyrics are very telling and quite confessional for Trent Reznor … it’s not a song I expected to hear from this new era of music. Give the song a listen above and see what you think. I’m very curious to hear your comments below.
Art, I guess
A few weeks ago Lady Gaga released the cover art for her new single Applause, the first from her upcoming new album ARTPOP. Yesterday we got to see the lyric video for the song and today we get to see the official music video. There appears to be all sorts of “art” going on in this video … which, IMHO, looks like a whole lotta nothing really going on. The focus appears to be on the song itself, which is good actually, but overall, I can’t say that I’m crazy about this video. MTV announced today that Gaga will open the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards this coming weekend with a performance of this song but no word on whether or not she’ll appear on stage as a swan with a human head. Stay tuned. As for the video, what do y’all think? Is this a hit or a miss?

'Higher' By Just Blaze & Baauer, Featuring Jay Z
Nabil has made amazing music videos for artists like Kanye West and Frank Ocean, and now it looks like the acclaimed director might be venturing into short film. Just Blaze (one of Hip Hop’s biggest producers and frequent collaborator of Jay Z‘s) has teamed up with Baauer (the guy who brought us the whole Harlem Shake movement) on a new single called Higher. Higher features Jay Z, and the video just premiered the other day. None of the artists actually appear in the video/short film; instead Nabil shot the footage in Kerala, India and created a powerful story of honor and revenge, inspired by the Kalaripayattu (Indian martial arts) warriors. The video definitely has me yearning for more, which is why I was psyched to hear that a longer film might be in development. Peep the video for more! Are you into it?
'Breakfast Can Wait'
If you are anything like me (or PITNBr Alecia), every time Prince does anything, you think of Dave Chappelle. Since walking away from his hit sketch comedy series Chappelle’s Show and the $50 bajillion contract that came with, Dave Chappelle has been deemed a recluse, popping up here and there for the occasional live performance. But many of us will never, ever forget the amazingness that was his show, and the True Hollywood stories he used to do with Eddie Murphy‘s big brother Charlie Murphy. Apparently, Prince hasn’t forgotten any of that awesomeness either. And now that he’s discovered and embraced Twitter (and, perhaps the internet as a whole) he’s sharing the hilariously appropriate cover art for his new single, Breakfast Can Wait. Chappelle fans will totally get the pancake reference, LOL. Click inside for more and listen to a snippet of the new track, above! It’s on friggen YouTube!
Fans Are Lit'rally Prostituting Themselves To Win The iTunes Contest
So the other day Lady Gaga released a lyric video for her new single, Applause. Folks have not been going especially gaga over the new jam, but her Little Monsters remain devoted… even to a fault. Here’s what’s going on. Gaga announced on Twitter that she was starting a contest for her biggest fans. The only thing is, the way you win the contest (and a chance to party with Gaga in Europe) is by, basically, having enough money to buy as many copies of the Applause single as you can. A lot of her fans got pissed when they heard the qualifying factors for the contest, but some of them are legitimately prostituting themselves out in exchange for Applause proofs of purchase! Um. What?!?!?! Read more about this creepiness inside and click above to check out the lyric video for Applause.

'Slave 2 the Rhythm'
It’s been a few years now since the world lost the acclaimed King of Pop Michael Jackson but that doesn’t mean that he stopped releasing “new” music. A previously unheard, unfinished MJ track titled Slave 2 the Rhythm has surfaced online … which features vocals by Justin Bieber. Yes, folks, Justin Bieber. MJ recorded the song before his death in 2009 but the song was unfinished. Somehow, The Biebs got his hands on the track and recorded vocals to finish the song and then … voila! It hits the Interwebs. Click below to hear MJ and JB “dueting” on Slave 2 the Rhythm and see what you think of this collaboration between the two. More »
