On Friday we got our first look at the cover art for Kylie Minogue‘s new album Kiss Me Once and today we learn which songs will be included on the release. The tracklisting for the Special Edition version of Kiss Me Once made it’s debut on iTunes and eagle-eyed Kylie fans noticed and immediately posted the info to the Interwebs. As you can see below, Kylie will be dueting with Enrique Iglesias on one of her songs and many of the other songs have the word Sex in them. HMMM. Kylie‘s new single Into The Blue is on the album but the one-off song that Kylie released last year, Skirt, does not appear on the album. A Really Big To-Do
Each year, on the night before the Grammy Awards, music mogul Clive Davis hosts an annual Pre-Grammy Awards Gala where some of the biggest names in music come out to perform for or merely party with one one another. This year, newcomers like Lorde hopped up on stage to perform alongside music royalty like Pharrell, Dave Grohl, Jennifer Hudson and others. In the crowd, folks like Kelis and Taylor Swift took it all in and became the A-List audience for an A-List group of performers. Click thru the gallery to see some of the photos that were snapped last night at Clive‘s big shindig and see just how amazing this year’s line-up of performers and attendees was. Davis‘s Pre-Grammy Awards Gala is the biggest event to take place before the Grammys air LIVE worldwide. We are now in the final countdown to Music’s Biggest Night!

Earlier this week, Madonna confirmed the rumor that she WILL be performing during the Grammy Awards telecast airing tonight on CBS and right now we learn not only who she will be performing with but what that performance will look like. Madonna has decided to team up and perform with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis for their Grammy-nominated song Same Love. In addition to this collaborative duet, Queen Latifah will appear on stage to officiate over 34 straight, same-sex and interracial marriages during the broadcast performance. I mean, wow. Grammy Award performances don’t get much bigger than this. More »

SO, last night was pretty cool. My good friend Rob Sheridan, one of the chief creative folks responsible for the newly-launched Beats Music service this week, invited a small group of friends to be guests at the Beats Music Pre-Grammy/Launch party at the Belasco Theater in downtown LA last night. Before we arrived, we knew that the party was going to be fun … what we didn’t now was how EPICLY amazing the night would be. There were rumors about who would be performing but the reality turned out to be even better than the rumors. The packed theater of guests was treated to a string of live performances by some of the biggest names in Hip-Hop. P. Diddy & Ma$e reunited on stage … then came out Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Nas, Ice Cube, Busta Rhymes, Dr. Dre AND Eminem to make a truly spectacular night even more amazing. I damn near fell over DEAD as each Hip-Hop superstar came out on stage to perform their biggest hits. The theme of the Beats Music party last night was “Our Playlist Come to Life” and boy, did they deliver by giving us the greatest living party playlist of all time. More »

In the past week or so we have enjoyed quite a bit of REALLY GREAT NEWS from Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails. First, Reznor and his team launched the new music service Beats Music then we learned that NIN will be closing out the Grammy Awards show this Sunday night with a live performance. A day later, we learned that Reznor and collaborator Atticus Ross will be teaming up again to compose the score for the new David Fincher film Gone Girl. Today we learn MORE amazing news from Reznor himself. In a new interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Reznor talks up his involvement as chief creative officer for Beats Music and then at the end of his interview mentions not only that he will be launching a new “product” later this year … but that we might get new NIN music as well. Um, what?!?!?! More »

Late last month we learned that Jennifer Lopez made her way to her hometown neighborhood in the Bronx, NY to film a music video for a new song titled Same Girl, which will be featured on her as-yet untitled new album due out later this year. While we wait for the release of Same Girl, we get to feast our ears on another new J. Lo track titled Girls that has made its way to the Internets. Girls was produced by DJ Mustard and as you can hear, it sounds a lot more R&B funky than her more recent high energy EDM song releases. As you may know, it’s believed that Lopez‘s new album will sound more like her earlier albums with that urban sound that made her a huge popstar in the early 00s. Take a listen to Girls above and see what you think. While I am more fond of upbeat songs, I am really excited that J. Lo is going back to her R&B/pop roots for her new album.
