When last we saw Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon they were sippin’ cocktails on the high seas, toasting the new year (and possibly showing the world Mimi‘s unpregsness) but it looks like the vacay is over for Mr. & Mrs. Cannon as they have already made their way back to wet and dreary NYC. Here are a few pics of Mimi and Nick as they made their way out of Japonais last night, stepping into the cold and rainy night:

David tells me that the weather has been cold and rainy ever since I left NYC earlier this week and he has taken ill as a result. I really think the warm, sunny temps here in SoCal would do him wonders … we’ll have to see about getting him to feel better. But I digress … anytime I see pics of Mariah and Nick and I can’t help but look at him as Mimi‘s fave accessory of the moment rather than her husband. I mean, I dunno … I’m not sure I’ll ever get used to see them as a married couple … but he does make a really great valet.

As one of the final toasts to 2008 (and perhaps to put those pregnancy rumors to rest once and for all … or just for now), Mariah Carey and hubby Nick Cannon were snapped enjoying a couple glasses of vino as they supped on raw oysters on their Caribbean holiday this week … booze + raw fish = no bun in the oven:

Mariah Carey is still not pregnant. The singer was spotted sipping red wine and eating oysters — no-nos when expecting — in St. Barts on Tuesday. Carey also showed off her bikini bod as she toasted wine with her husband Nick Cannon at hot spot Nikki Beach. But kids could still be in the couple’s future. “I couldn’t imagine anybody that I’ve ever met being a better dad [than Cannon],” she said earlier this year. After their surprise April wedding, Cannon’s half-brother told Us Cannon “definitely wants kids” with Carey.

MMM HMMM … no babies yet but that doesn’t mean they won’t come. I suspect if the couple manage to stay hitched for at least a year then the baby bump might finally come. In the meantime, it looks like Mimi and Nick are just concerned with gettin’ their party on without concerning themselves with stretch marks and morning sickness. Mebbe once Nick reaches puberty the couple can seriously discuss a future with children.

Mariah Carey and her much younger hubby Nick Cannon continue to enjoy their holiday week in Aspen, CO where the couple have been since just before Xmas. As you may recall, the couple stepped out onto the streets of Aspen wearing matching red outfits before they stepped out and showed off their matching white outfits. Today we get to see new pics of the couple mixing up their ensembles a bit … behold:

See, now this is much better … they don’t need to wear matching outfits to show the world how much in love with one another they are. This way, they look like normal, uncrazy people. I love that Mimi, apparently, owns various pairs of those FRIGHTFULLY horrid furry boots in different colors. I wonder how many Sasquatches Chanel had to slaughter to get the shaggy fur to make those monstrosities? In any event, I don’t expect that Mr. & Mrs. Cannon will remain in Colorado for New Year’s Eve … they will, most likely, jet off to someplace more happenin’.

Yesterday we got to see the happily married Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon make their grand arrival in the resort town of Aspen, CO (where Mimi annually spends her holidays) in the most garishly ridiculous red outfits possible. Today, we get to see a couple new photos of Mr. & Mrs. Cannon (plus Jack, the dog) as the fam took to the streets of Aspen on day two of their Xmas getaway … this time, tho, white was the color du jour:

LOL … they are SO ridiculous! You just know that Mimi thinks she is just the most stylish thing ever but she looks so bad in this outfit … especially with Nick lookin’ a fool in his matching outfit. He really needs a hat that fits him … in these pics he really does look special. Lawd … I just love the tackiness, tho. These two are so the best of the worst.

I wonder if the couple will be ruining the color blue tomorrow.

Mariah Carey has a long-standing tradition of spending the holidays in Aspen, Colorado and normally ends up Ho Ho Hoing all by her lonesome (with only her pooch Jack to keep her company) … but now that she’s married, she brought along her much younger husband Nick Cannon to partake of her annual Xmas vacay in the resort town. Here are pics of Mr. & Mrs. Cannon showing off their garish and entirely fugly matching red winter outfits on the streets of Aspen yesterday:

Lord have mercy … I just don’t understand how anyone could look at themselves in the mirror while wearing these outfits and say, Wow, I look great! I love Mimi with all my heart but she looks a right mess in these pics. I’m always amazed that she manages to NOT get chest colds despite the fact that she’s always got her cleavage exposed, no matter what the chilly temps. may be. Nick, bless his heart, just looks like he’s along for the ride … like always. He’s always standing at her side or two steps behind her (usually, he’s two steps behind her) smiling wide like a sweet doofus, just happy to be included in the whirlwind that is Mariah Carey. While I still have a hard time seeing these two as an actual married couple, I’m glad to see that they’ve made it successfully to the end of the year still happily married to one another.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon appear to be settling into the doldrums of married life mere months after they were quietly (and spontaneously) wed earlier this year. Mimi and Nick slipped away to Mexico this weekend and appeared to be enjoying a very relaxed (some might say boring?) vacay together. Could it possibly be that Mr. & Mrs. Cannon have morphed into an old married couple already? Could it be that the spark of new lurve has diminished a little? Could it be that Mimi actually has bunions? Well, considering the deadly heels she likes to wear all the time, it’s conceivable … it’s all conceivable. Call me crazy but I still have a hard time picturing these two enjoying a settled married life together.

Newishweds Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon played host at Marquee nightclub in NYC last night at the club’s annual Halloween party. Nick actually did double duty as he also DJed last night’s soiree … Mimi, on the other hand, was just there to look hot. Mimi and Nick arrived on the back of an actual NYC firetruck to much fanfare … but the couple did not remain in these costumes for long. Celebs of varying caliber in the acting, music and fashion world came out for a swanky night of hob-nobbing at the 2008 Whitney Museum of American Art Gala in NYC last night. Here are a few photos of some of the folks who made their way to the soiree in order to strut their stuff on the red carpet:

The theme for the gala was Whitney — Past, Present and Future which I assume was meant to refer to the artwork on display rather than the regular ol’ stuff we saw on the red carpet fashion-wise. Mariah Carey and her childhubby Nick Cannon made their way out to the Whitney affair last night lookin’ as mismatched as ever … tho not as mismatched a pair as Patrick Dempsey and Donatella Versace looked. Dr. McHotPants was lookin’ smokin’ in his Versace suit … Donatella just looked hungry. Christina Ricci made sure that her expensive dress was cut just so in order to show off her very classy tattoo and Juliette Lewis was most likely just there for the free drinks. Oh yeah. Sounds like a fun time in the Big Apple last night. Hurray for the Arts!

Newishlyweds Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey were both on hand at Pure nightclub inside Caesar’s Palace Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV last night for a birthday party celebration in honor of Nick‘s 28th birthday (which is today). You may recall that Mimi made her way to Vegas this past weekend so she could shoot her new music video there. I guess the couple decided to stay a little longer for Nick‘s bday. Here are a few pics and some deets from last night’s festivities:

His birthday wasn’t until Wednesday, but Nick Cannon got the party started early with a sweet surprise from wife Mariah Carey. The actor – who Deejayed during his bash Tuesday night at Pure Nightclub in Las Vegas – took time to give a “shout out to my beautiful wife in the building.” Carey held court at a VIP table next to Cannon’s deejay booth, where the soon-to-be 28-year-old spun rock and hip hop for nearly three hours. Later, she arranged for a birthday cake to be brought out for her husband-of-five-months. “Thank you, my love,” he said into the microphone. “We about to take this to the next level!” The two have staying at the Bellagio since Saturday, when they arrived in Vegas to shoot Carey’s new music video. (Cannon directed the clip for her single, “I Stay in Love.”) Tuesday night kicked off with a private dinner at Rao’s, where Cannon and Carey noshed on lemon chicken and meatballs. “They were very sweet with each other,” said a source. Nick, inspired by the Italian cuisine, also boasted that he makes “a great clam sauce.”

The event was billed as “Mariah Carey Hosts Nick Cannon‘s Birthday Party” presumably because her name brings in more partygoers than his does … but something tells me that he didn’t mind one bit. I mean, HELLO! He is married to Mariah freakin’ Carey! I don’t believe that Nick received any birthday presents last night because, let’s face it, he’s already used up all his “gifts karma” by nabbing Mimi as his wife. Even still … Happy Birthday, Nick!

Now that Mimi is taking her acting career seriously again, I think it’s a great idea that she keep an eye on what other thespians in the Arts are up to in order to help her hone her own skills.
