Last week we got to see the very pregnant Mariah Carey and her bared baby bump on the cover of Life & Style magazine here in the US and today we get to see Mimi, bump and the also-nekkid Nick Cannon on the cover of the new issue of OK! magazine in the UK. With mere moments to go before Mariah births her twin babies, we get another look today at Mimi‘s bared baby bump.

Last Sunday, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon hosted a Pink and Blue baby shower for the twin babies they are expecting and yesterday, Mimi posted a heartfelt message of thanks to her fans for the lovely gifts they sent her. Today, courtesy of Life & Style magazine, we get to see a personal photo of Mariah and Nick from their baby shower and we get to hear about some of the fun stuff that went down last Sunday. Did you know this baby shower was the first one Mariah Carey ever attended? ‘Tis true, read on.

In early February we learned from Life & Style magazine that Mariah Carey was rumored to be carrying a baby girl AND a baby boy in her womb. Today we learn that L&S was right … because the invitation to Mimi‘s baby shower, which will take place this Sunday, makes it very clear that she is having a boy and a girl.

First, the very pregs Mariah Carey referred to the children she is carrying in her womb as “they” leading people to speculate that she is having twins … then, hubby Nick Cannon flat out denied that the couple are having twins. Today, we hear from Nick again in a new radio interview and he is now telling us something different. Nick Cannon has come out and finally confirmed that yes, Mimi is carrying twins in her baby bump:

Ever since Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon confirmed their pregnancy news, the world has been wondering: Is it a boy or a girl? Maybe even multiples? On Thursday, Cannon himself put rumors to rest on his radio show, telling listeners, “We are having twins.” The two have been cautious about revealing too many details since they’ve had a “long journey” to parenthood, which included a miscarriage in 2008. But when President Barack Obama happened to ask about her pregnancy, Carey just couldn’t keep a secret. While performing at TNT’s Christmas in Washington 2010 on Sunday, Carey ran into President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama backstage. “They, ironically enough, questioned my wife about, you know, ‘So, what are you having, are you having twins?’ ” Cannon said Thursday morning on his 92.3 Rollin’ With Nick Cannon radio show. “And at this point she hadn’t told anybody anything because doctors advised us to keep it to ourselves until we get further along,” he said. “And because of the excitement, because of the emotion, she was overwhelmed [and] she shared with the President and First Lady that we are having twins.”

Aww … I love it! My guess is that Mr. & Mrs. Cannon prolly wouldn’t've confirmed the twins until Mimi gave birth if it wasn’t for the nosiness of the Obamas. To be honest, I don’t care what inspired them to spill the beans … this is just happy, happy news! We do NOT know if the twins will be identical or fraternal nor do we know when Mariah is due to give birth. But we do know she and Nick will be the happy parents of TWO adorable babies very soon … I cannot wait to meet them :D

Back in September we learned that Mariah Carey had teamed up with the Home Shopping Network to create a line of products for her to sell to her loyal fans on HSN and at midnight last night (technically this morning), Mimi appeared live on air to peddle her wares. Here are a few screencaps and some deets from Mariah‘s appearance on HSN today:

Everybody loves a bargain especially at this time of year. And now the general public can adorn themselves with jewels just like pop queen Mariah Carey. The 40-year-old songstress and expectant mother appeared on the Home Shopping Network yesterday to promote her new line of costume jewellery and shoes, all of which is listed at affordable prices. During the live, late night TV slot, the chart-topping diva was surprised by husband Nick Cannon who called in while she was on air. The couple, who are expecting their first baby in the spring, told viewers the romantic story behind a $59.95 pink crystal ‘Ring Pop’ necklace that Mariah has designed for her collection. They then exchanged I love you’s and as well as their secret code ‘KKLB’, which a giggling Mariah left unexplained. Carey’s collection features items like pendants, crystal butterfly earrings, fur-trimmed suede boots, rhinestone sandals and chain-wrapped nylon boots. She tells ABC News Radio, ‘There’s gorgeous stuff. I’m not even kidding. I would definitely wear this stuff myself.’ Carey also insisted that she ‘really did design things myself and work closely with the team over at HSN…it wasn’t like, “Oh, just throw my name on things.’”

To be honest, I can believe that Mariah did some actual design work for this new line of products. Do I believe that she drew up detailed sketches for each piece? No. But I can see how she might’ve collaborated with artisans more talented in clothing and jewelry design to create these affordable pieces for her collection. Now that news of Mariah Carey‘s pregnancy is officially out, she and hubby Nick Cannon are talking to any and EVERYONE about their joyous news. Yesterday, we saw a clip from Mimi‘s interview appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and today we get to read some excerpts from Mr. & Mrs. Cannon‘s interview with US Weekly magazine … yes, folks … they’re talking to any and EVERYONE:

After suffering a miscarriage following her April 2008 wedding to Nick Cannon, Mariah Carey cried herself to sleep many nights. But in an exclusive interview in the new Us Weekly (on newsstands now), the singer says she and Cannon never gave up. Though she dismisses reports that she did IVF, Carey tells Us Weekly she began taking progesterone, a hormone that is often prescribed to boost fertility and support or help maintain pregnancy in women susceptible to miscarriage. Cannon also tells Us Weekly his wife relied on “once-a-day” acupuncture, “all over her body. I think it helped her quite a bit, because it was a good destressor.” Seeing Carey’s face when they learned she was pregnant “was priceless,” Cannon recalls. “We definitely cried. We still cry all the time. It’s an emotional journey.” With their baby due in spring, Carey says it still “amazes” her she’s going to have Cannon’s child. “He’s a great person, and we have more in common than not,” she tells Us Weekly. “I know people initially were, ‘What? Those two?’ But I think people who know us get it.”

I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of hearing Mariah and Nick talk about their happy baby news … and I don’t care how the pregnancy came to be. I’m just thrilled for the both of them that they’ve got a baby on the way and I wish them nothing but all the happiness in the world. Mariah has a lot of promo work on the horizon, not the least of which is an upcoming Xmas special she is taping here in LA in the next couple of weeks. I’m guessing she’s gonna work her ass off for as long as she can but once her bump starts to get really big, she’ll drop everything and just relax until the baby is born. I highly doubt she’ll do anything even remotely close to endangering her pregnancy. I can only imagine how thrilled Mariah and Nick are right now … no wonder they’re happy to talk to anyone about their incubating baby :)

Yesterday we learned the EXCITING news that happily marrieds Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are PREGS with their first child together! The couple made the joint announcement on The Today Show but, in fact, sat down with Access Hollywood for a 3-part interview about their happy news. In yesterday’s announcement, we learned that the couple suffered a miscarriage a couple of years ago and in the second part of their Access Hollywood interview, they opened up about the sad details of that loss:

According to the couple, they first got pregnant right before their annual Xmas trip to Aspen, CO (where Mariah has been spending her Xmases for many years now) and learned of their miscarriage on the day they were due to fly out for the holidays. You may recall we saw photos of the couple lookin’ happy and bright … but now we know they were dealing with a terribly sad loss. I can’t even imagine the strength and fortitude to requires to handle a loss like that … but the happy news that they are pregnant now prollly goes a long way to heal those old wounds. Yay!!! At last … Mariah Carey has officially confirmed what pretty much everyone on Earth was sure of … she and hubby Nick Cannon are PREGS with their first child! Mr. & Mrs. Cannon officially broke the news to Access Hollywood‘s Billy Bush on The Today Show earlier today. While the couple are extremely thrilled to be expecting their first child together now, their happiness wasn’t always so … when pregnancy rumors first started for the couple 2 years ago, Mimi sadly reveals that she had a miscarriage a month after she first discovered she was pregnant. But, that sadness is gone now, cuz Mariah and Nick are officially expecting their first child together:

“Yes, we are pregnant. This is true,” Carey, 41, said on the Today show Thursday morning as part of a sneak peek at a three-part Access Hollywood interview. “It’s been a long journey. It’s been tough because I’ve been trying to hold on to a shred of privacy.” Husband Nick Cannon, 30, joined the interview to talk about the “absolutely emotional” news, adding, “The greatest gift on earth is a child.” Carey, who also told of a miscarriage two years ago, would not reveal her due date. She would only say “it’s still early” and “expecting is great.” Ever-supportive Cannon said of the loss, “It strengthened our relationship so much … she handled it so well.” The news, of course, won’t surprise those who have followed the couple’s coy references to pregnancy and babies over the past few months. Rumors flew as the expanding singer seemed to bloom a little more every week, and both Cannon and Carey have spoken about their desire for children. In August, Carey fanned the flames by stepping out in Brazil wearing a maternity dress. She quickly addressed the ensuing frenzy, explaining she is “superstitious” about pregnancy and promising, “When the time is right, everyone will know.” Days later, Cannon gushed about his wife’s motherly instincts, telling PEOPLE that “she’s very nurturing.” But not until now have they admitted they’re soon to welcome their own bundle of joy. Now that the news is out, people will clamor to know the sex of the child. The couple wouldn’t say yet, but eventually Carey will cave, because she loves to decorate.

You may recall that Thandie Newton inadvertently spilled the beans about Mariah‘s pregnancy on yesterday’s episode of The View … but now that we’ve learned the HAPPY HAPPY NEWS straight from Mimi‘s mouth, we can officially offer our congratulations and love to the happy family. This is just the best news ever … even tho we all pretty much knew she was pregs, it’s so exciting to hear the news from Mimi … especially when we see the elation on her face. Mariah Carey, joined by her husband Nick Cannon and music producer/BFF Antonio LA Reid, made an in-person appearance in the Allen Room at Lincoln Center in NYC yesterday to launch her new album of holiday music titled Merry Christmas II You. Mariah Carey showed off her new music and new curves last night as she showcased her second Christmas album Merry Christmas II You in New York. The singer was at the event with husband Nick Cannon, 30, who looked delighted to be standing up on stage with his wife. And in her tight blue dress and black heels, the singer looked more voluptuous than ever. With her blonde hair down around her shoulders, the 40-year-old couldn’t hide how much fuller her face has become over the past couple of months. The Honey star looked anything but shy though, looking her usual confident self as she smiled and joked with the crowd. Despite constant reports that Mariah’s weight gain is because she’s pregnant with her first child, neither she not Cannon will confirm or deny anything … At one point she posed for pictures with Anthony Reid, the Chairman of her label Def Jam, who claims that Mariah is just happy and looking forward to the holiday season. He says: ‘Mariah loves Christmas — and she probably spends way too much on it. She goes all out for this, so I hope that’s coming through in the music.’

There is no question, Mimi looks much healthier than we’ve seen her before but, to be honest, she’s looked this way for weeks now. I’m not quite so convinced that she is hiding a pregnancy, particularly because we should be able to see a baby bump by now. I understand women who undergo fertility treatments put on weight thru the process so that is likely what is going on with Mimi right now. Whatever the case may be on the personal front, she is moving full steam ahead on the professional front. Merry Christmas II You will be available for sale next month … ready or not, Xmas is practically here.

A very fabulous-looking Mariah Carey stepped out Friday night with her young hubby Nick Cannon Friday night to celebrate Nick‘s 30th birthday. As you may recall, Mimi has been having a rough time of it lately what with her falling her her bum on stage in Singapore and her having to roll thru LAX Airport in a wheelchair … but this weekend, MC is back on her own two feel and she was lookin’ good, y’all:

Mariah Carey was back on her feet last night following her recent onstage tumble as she celebrated her husband Nick Cannon’s 30th birthday. The 40-year-old singer wore a plunging black dress, teamed with fishnet tights and a pair of vertiginous peep-toe heels. But the star ensured a minder was on hand to help negotiate the stairs as she left her New York apartment, clearly not wanting to suffer another embarrassing fall. Mariah was pictured being wheeled through LAX Los Angeles Airport in a wheelchair after injuring her ankle when she tripped over on stage in Asia. She is currently the subject of pregnancy rumours, having hinted that she may be expecting her first child. In a recent statement she thanked fans for their well wishes, but didn’t confirm or deny anything … Mariah and Cannon celebrated his 30th birthday [Friday] night with close friends at Lavo in the Big Apple.

I’m always amazed at how well Mariah Carey is able to bounce back from pretty much everything. Just a couple weeks ago she was lookin’ a bit bigger, which is totally fine, but in these pics she looks much slimmer. I’m thinkin’ MC has got herself a magic wand which she uses for very special public appearances from time to time. In any event, I suppose we should send our belated Birthday Lurve to her babyfaced hubby on the big 3-0. Here’s hopin’ Mr. & Mrs. Cannon have another birth-related celebration coming on the horizon :)
