The Inside Scoop
Last week, actor Mark Ruffalo (who plays The Hulk/Bruce Banner in The Avengers) posted a photo that he says he wasn’t supposed to snap on the set of The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Today we get to see two more photos that Ruffalo snapped and shared from the set, which seems to suggest that he has been given the green light by the powers that be at Marvel to share the photos. This time around, Mark shared two photos of two of his co-stars … which you can see in full below. UPDATE: Robert Downey, Jr. shares an on set photo of his own, see it below. More »
Mark Ruffalo, the actor who plays The Hulk / Bruce Banner in The Avengers, posted a photo on his official Twitter profile that he probably wasn’t supposed to share but he decided to share anyways. Ruffalo was on the set of the sequel film The Avengers: Age of Ultron and he spied something that he wanted to take a photo of and share on Twitter. Even tho he says he might get in trouble for sharing, have a look below at Mark‘s naughty and possibly unauthorized photo from the set of Age of Ultron. More »
Reshoots, Recasts, OH MY!
Remember last week when we saw the first trailer for the upcoming live-action reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? You’d think that the film would be finished or very near finished by the time a studio puts out a movie trailer but … nope, not this time. Megan Fox was ordered back to the set of TMNT for reshoots (despite the fact that she just gave birth weeks ago, I might add) and two of the main characters in the movie have been entirely recast … or, at least, their voices have. For whatever reason, Johnny Knoxville will now voice the character of Leonardo and Tony Shalhoub (Monk) will voice the character of Splinter. Because the movie is due out in August, I’d say that the folks producing TMNT have got their work cut out for them. Honestly, it sounds like this movie is slowly turning into a hot mess. Let’s see if they can pull it off in the end.
"Better and stronger"
In the wake of Paul Walker‘s tragic death last November, filming production on the upcoming sequel film The Fast and the Furious 7 was put on hold so that the film could be reconfigured to account for Walker‘s death. Today we learn that filming has started up again after director James Wan posted a photo on his official Instagram profile from the set of FF7. As they say in Hollywood, the show must go on. More »
Unrelated to filming production
Yesterday we saw video of director/god Joss Whedon apologizing in advance to the people of Seoul, Korea for the messy inconvenience that will come from the filming of The Avengers: Age of Ultron in their fair city … but today, I have a gruesome update to share. The body of a dead man was found in a river while Ultron filming was taking place on Mapo Bridge. The initial reports claim that no foul play is suspected but even still, it must’ve been horribly upsetting to stumble upon a corpse while filming was taking place. More »
Last week we got to see the concept art for the characters Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver as they will appear in the upcoming superhero sequel film The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron. Today we get to see grainy photos and video from the Italian set of Ultron where actors Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson have begun to bring those characters to life (along with Jeremy Renner‘s Hawkeye). A large, metal-looking character has also been spotted on the set that may possibly be Ultron but at this point it’s completely unknown who the character might be. Click below to see set photos and video of a few Avengers in action in Age of Ultron. More »
Something Wicked this Way Comes
Back in August we learned the VERY exciting news that actors Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard signed on play Macbeth and Lady Macbeth in a new feature film based on the masterpiece play by William Shakespeare. Without question, Macbeth is my all-time favorite theatrical play and I am very anxious for this movie to come out. Check out the photos presented in this gallery to get your first look at the actors on set in Farnham, UK and get excited … cuz this film is going to be amazing. I know that not a lot of people enjoy Shakespeare‘s work (for various reasons) but I am a huge fan (I got to see Macbeth on Broadway not once but twice last year, loved it so much each time). Macbeth starring Fassbender and Cotillard is basically a dream come true. This film is definitely on my most-anticipated list. Where my Macbeth fanatics at? Are you as excited to see this film as I am?

The Talented Mr. Hoffman
As soon as news spread of Philip Seymour Hoffman‘s untimely death on Sunday, friends and co-stars of the late actor started releasing tributes and memorials all over social media. Hoffman‘s co-star Gwyneth Paltrow was among those paying tribute to the late actor when she shared a cute photo on her official Instagram profile that was snapped on the set of their film The Talented Mr. Ripley (which also starred Jude Law, also featured in this photo). Ripley is one of my favorite Hoffman films so I love that we get this behind the scenes look from the set of the film … even if it comes in the wake of such very sad news. There may not be an NC-17 version after all.
Early last month we learned of the possibility that two versions of the Fifty Shades of Grey movie might be shot so that one version could be released in theaters with an R rating and another, more explicit, version would be released in less theaters with an NC-17 rating. Today we learn of a new report that suggests the movie might be released in one version … a version that will feature none of the racier sex scenes that made the novel so popular. At this point, none of these reports have been confirmed but if this turns out to be true, it sounds like the much ballyhooed Fifty Shades of Grey movie might turn out to be a huge disappointment to fans.
