There will be blood
Earlier this month we saw photos from the Vancouver, British Columbia set of Deadpool and today we get another update from the Deadpool set. Ryan Reynolds shared a photo of himself from the set letting us know that filming production of the movie has reached the midpoint. As you can see below, the fake-bloodied Reynolds is not wearing his Deadpool costume so it looks like he is giving us another look at Wade Wilson (but without his scars). Click below to see this new photo and see how much fun/work is going into the making of Deadpool. More »

The Joker Returns
Thus far, we’ve seen Jared Leto‘s pre-Joker transformation and the early stages of his post-Joker transformation for the upcoming Suicide Squad movie. Today we get our first, kinda blurry look at Leto in full costume and make-up on the set of Suicide Squad. The photo hasn’t been officially released … instead, this first look at his version of The Joker is a picture of a picture that Jared was showing off on his iPhone. As you can see below, it looks like the image of Jared as The Joker was taken during filming of the movie. Click below to have a looksee. More »

Ryan Gosling has begun work on his next film, The Big Short, and as you can see below, Ryan is rockin’ a new hair’do that makes him almost unrecognizable. Gone are Ryan‘s usual golden locks … and, if I’m being totally honest, his sex appeal. As I understand it, The Big Short is set during the recession that gripped the country a few years ago … so it doesn’t really sound much like a movie that I’d be interested in seeing. The movie also stars Brad Pitt and Christian Bale but we don’t yet know if they have been made to look as unsexy as Ryan. Click below to see the full photo and get a really good look at what Ryan Gosling looks like these days. More »
Last month we got our very first look at actor Charlie Hunnam in costume as King Arthur on the first day of filming his new movie Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur. Today we get another look at Chuck as Arthur on the UK set of the film. Knights, as you may know, is being directed by Guy Ritchie and will also co-star Eric Bana, Jude Law and Djimon Hounsou … among others. The cast sounds great, yes, but I know that quite a few of us are only here for Charlie :) Have a look at your new king below. More »
Earlier this month, we saw the first photos from the Vancouver set of the new Marvel Studios movie Deadpool and today we get to see a bunch of great new set photos. As you will see in the gallery presented here, Ryan Reynolds was on set in full costume as Deadpool and he was joined by actors Brianna Hildebrand, who plays Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Ed Skrein, who plays Ajax. The inclusion of these characters, along with the X-Men mutant Colossus (who will also appear in the film but is not pictured here), means that Deadpool will absolutely be tied to the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe — hopefully, in a brilliantly clever way. It’s always great when we get to see a movie being filmed as set photos are released but it only tends to make me really anxious to see the final product … which, I’m sadly well aware, won’t be in theaters until February of next year. Sigh. Still, it’s fun to see these Deadpool set photos. I can’t wait to see more.
The Merc in the flesh
Last month we got our first look at the costume that Ryan Reynolds will wear as Deadpool in next year’s Deadpool movie and a few days later, we learned officially that the movie will be rated R. Today we get our first look at photos from the set of Deadpool, which is currently filming in Vancouver, British Columbia. The streets of Vancouver were shut down for filming and eager fans were on hand to snap photos of the action while the cameras rolled. Deadpool himself was seen on set but it’s unknown if the man inside the suit was Ryan Reynolds or a stunt man. The first set photos are pretty cool tho, click below and have a look. More »
"Just finished the second day of filming."
In December we learned that Paul Pee-Wee Herman Reubens signed a deal with Netflix to produce a new Pee-Wee Herman movie that will be produced by Judd Apatow. Last month, we learned that the movie will be titled Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday and would begin filming production this month. Today, courtesy of Pee-Wee Herman himself, we get our first look at the first photo from the Holiday set. While the photo featured below isn’t all that exciting, it does give us visual confirmation that the new Pee-Wee Herman movie is being filmed … which means that we will be getting a new Pee-Wee Herman movie soon! Ahhh!!! Have a look. More »
Back to Work
It’s been a few months since the final episode of the long-running FX series Sons of Anarchy aired and since that time, actor Charlie Hunnam has been pretty much out of the spotlight. Today we learn that Charlie is back to work on the set of his next project. Director Guy Ritchie posted a photo on his official Twitter profile that was taken on the set of his new film Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur which stars Hunnam in the lead role of Arthur Pendragon. Click below to see this first photo of Charlie and Guy on the set of KOTR and get your first taste of what Charlie looks like as one of the most famous kings in English lore. More »
Capt. Jack is Back
Last July we learned officially that Johnny Depp signed on to star in a 5th Pirates of the Caribbean movie, titled Dead Men Tell No Tales, set for release in 2017 and today we learn not only that the sequel has gone into filming production in Australia but we also get our first look at Johnny in character as Captain Jack Sparrow. Director Jerry Bruckheimer posted a photo on his official Twitter profile of Depp as Sparrow as they filmed a scene for Dead Men and altho the photo is only a tiny tease, it’s a fun photo to get Pirates of the Caribbean fans excited for the forthcoming movie. Have a look below, mateys. More »
Force for Change
Back in May, director JJ Abrams introduced an opportunity for anyone to appear in the upcoming Star Wars sequel film The Force Awakens if they made a donation to UNICEF via the Star Wars: Force for Change charity initiative. Today we get to see a just-released Thank You video from Abrams and the cast and crew of Episode VII. As you can see above, this fun video features mostly crewmembers from the set of The Force Awakens … as well as a pair of beloved Star Wars characters … and Abrams himself. Check out the embed above to see how Abrams and co. are giving their thanks this holiday season.
