"I wish I had a better metabolism"
Kelly Clarkson and her beautiful baby daughter River Rose are featured on the cover of the new issue of Redbook magazine and in her cover story interview, she talks about love, life and — unfortunately — her weight. Because everyone is always so obsessed with Kelly Clarkson‘s weight, she feels compelled to talk about it, particularly when the questions asked of her broach the subject. Kelly always gives great responses when she talks about her size but it really irritates me that she has to say anything about her weight at all. Click below to see photos from Kelly‘s Redbook feature and read excerpts from her cover story interview. More »
"It's important, for symbolic reasons"
If you ever want to have any kind of real faith in politicians, the justice system, or the President of the United States, you probably shouldn’t watch this year’s Oscar-winner for Best Documentary Feature, Citizenfour. I watched it last night, and it was terrifying and powerful, and mostly terrifying. So I was prepared to read Chelsea Clinton‘s new interview—in which she speaks about the possibility of a woman president (but probably not just any woman)—with some eye-rolling because all politicians everywhere frighten me. However, she used a really important word that I’m going to focus on, because I think it makes perfect sense in the case of American politics: “symbolic.” Click inside for more.

"I thought I was dying."
Last year, pop star Avril Lavigne made curious mention about her health that clued folks in to the fact that she wasn’t doing very well but at the time, I don’t think even she know exactly what was going on. Today we learn from Avril herself that she contracted lyme disease sometime last year and began to suffer painfully from its effects … to the point where she was bedridden for 5 months and she thought she was dying. Horrible. Avril is featured on the cover of this week’s issue of People magazine and in her cover story interview, she opens up about her ordeal. She says she’s feeling better these days (back to about “80%” she says) but you have to read her story to hear how bad it’s been for her :( More »

The Real Housewife
It’s been a few months since Real Housewives of New Jersey reality TV star Teresa Giudice went to prison to serve out her sentence for felony fraud and tax evasion but today we get our first look at what Teresa looks like as a federal prisoner. Those of you familiar with Giudice on RHONJ know that, altho tackily gaudy, Teresa likes to look glam pretty much all the time. The Giudice family photo you can see below, splashed on the cover of this week’s issue of Us Weekly magazine, shows us a different, more greasy-haired Teresa. If you’ve been waiting for an update on the RHONJ jailbird, your day has arrived. More »

"I definitely like to do things that shake me up"
Every time I see Kerry Washington rocking a new magazine cover, I just let out a huge sigh of relief. Thank God she made it, I think. Everyone caught on, and she’s a friggen superstar—finally. (And then I get insanely jealous of whoever interviewed her, i.e. Ailya S. King.) I still remember the Kerry Washington of I Think I Love My Wife and She Hate Me, and The Last King of Scotland, and I just wanted her to blow up so badly! Now that she’s a household name, I still look back on those days fondly and I’m still excited for her [somewhat] newfound celebrity. She is looking very different—but very amazing—on the cover of Ebony Magazine, so click inside for more!
And that is FINE by me
Last month we learned just how hot DJ/producer Calvin Harris truly is when the photos from his new ad campaign for Emporio Armani Underwear were released. Today we see that Harris is still having a hard time staying completely dressed on the cover and in the pages of the newest issue of The Sunday Times: Style magazine. As you can see below, Calvin shows off his hot bod in the cover photo shared below … which gets no complaints from me whatsoever. I honestly don’t even think about Calvin Harris as a musician anymore … one look at these new photos and all you’ll be thinking about is body. More »
