The Super Bowl XLVIII Spread
The stunning Kate Upton is rocking a new Vogue spread for the February issue and I am so in love with it. In anticipation of Super Bowl XLVIII, Upton is rocking some of NYC’s finest threads, and partying with the Giants and the Jets. She’s also got some great shots with Jimmy Fallon (all decked out in face paint), Michael Strahan, and Tracy Morgan. Peep the gallery for more!
"I said, God, will you please let me have boobs so big that I can't see my feet"
On Sunday we got our first look at Katy Perry‘s appearance on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of GQ magazine when a hardcopy of the magazine made its way into the hands of a fan that shared some snaps online. Today we learn that GQ has formally announced their Katy Perry issue and have released excerpts from her coverstory interview to promote the issue’s release. In her conversation with GQ, Katy confessed that she prayed to God for bigger boobs and wouldn’t you know it, He answered her prayers! Hallelujah! Among the other things she talked about with GQ include her relationship with marijuana, her relationship with John Mayer, her belief in aliens and the loss of her virginity at 16 (again, god bless those boobs). “I want the power to create what is in my mind."
Kanye West is featured on the cover and in the pages of the February issue of Interview magazine — their annual Men’s Issue — and was interviewed by Academy Award-nominated director Steve McQueen about a host of subjects revolving around the theme of Fine Art. Kanye‘s Interview photospread was shot by famed photographer Steven Klein and as you can see in the gallery of images presented here, the photos turned out really well. Click thru the gallery to see some of the images that are published in the February issue of Interview then click below to read some excerpts from Kanye‘s interview with McQueen. As you might expect, Kanye delivers his usual collection of bon mots … some of which are worth your time. More »
Popstar Katy Perry is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of GQ magazine which isn’t really out yet nor has it been officially announced but somehow managed to leak its way online nonetheless. A hard copy of Katy‘s issue of GQ made its way into the hands of an ardent fan who decided to take a few snaps to share with the world this weekend. Altho the photos kind of warp the images a bit, this is a really good first look at Katy‘s GQ magazine feature. Have a look below. More »

Cate Blanchett, who was nominated yesterday for an Academy Award for her performance in Blue Jasmine, is — as many of you know– one of my faves, especially on the red carpet. If she wins that Oscar, I look forward to seeing lots more of her on the cover of these magazines, but for right now we have the new Vogue Australia cover to hold us over. The Golden Globe winner looks fab on the February cover, although we have yet another case of photoshop abuse, IMO. Click inside for more!
"I get paralyzingly nervous a lot of times, so I tried bravado"
Pop wunderkind Lorde is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine — her first ever — and in her coverstory interview, Ella talks about her very successful debut album Pure Herione, her decision to use bravado as a sign of strength and she opens up about her childhood growing up in New Zealand. Additionally, Lorde posed for a series of photos for the magazine and if you can believe it, she actually smiled in a few of them. Girls Rule the World
Last week we got to see 12 Years a Slave star Lupita Nyong’o on the cover of the new issue of W magazine and today we get to see her on the cover of Dazed & Confused. Lupita‘s issue of Dazed has been dubbed the Girls Rule the World issue and while that may be the case, Lupita is in a class all her own. As you can see below, her D&C coverphoto is colorful but the photos included in her photospread are truly stunning. Not only is Nyong’o an accomplished actress but she makes a damn fine fashion model as well. See for yourselves below. More »
She Addressed Her 'Elle' Cover On 'The Late Show With David Letterman'
By now many of you have probably heard about Mindy Kaling‘s Elle Magazine cover controversy. In case ya missed it, Elle did the thing that they’ve done before (along with other magazines) where they put a non-super-skinny person on the cover and made sure we didn’t see any of that person’s body. People (AKA the interwebs) flipped out in response. But what’s interesting is that Mindy Kaling herself has come out in defense of the cover and is opening up more about her issue with those of us who thought we were supporting her by criticizing Elle magazine. I think she makes some really strong points about how the so-called outrage only seemed to bring more negative attention to her body, which isn’t necessarily something anybody would want. Peep the video above to hear what she said in an interview on Late Show With David Letterman.
Prison Break Fab
I don’t know when Season Two of this amazing show is popping off, but it needs to happen now. In the meantime, the leading ladies of the hit Netflix series Orange Is The New Black are rocking a new spread in the pages of Elle Magazine. Now unlike that Mindy Kaling cover, I think the editors nailed it with this shoot, as the ladies have been transformed into high-fashion queens. I love this spread! I love, love, love the dress Piper (Taylor Schilling) is rocking– the black one with the cut-outs? Agh! Yes. And I seriously cannot wait ’til Spring (which is, allegedly, when the new season premieres). Peep the gallery for more! And go HERE for a really cool behind-the-scenes video from the shoot.
The Best Performances Of 2013
Awards season is just around the corner, and we can expect to see much more of these beautiful faces from W Magazine’s annual movie issue. Jennifer Lawrence (who starred in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and American Hustle), Amy Adams (American Hustle), Oprah Winfrey (Lee Daniels’ The Butler), Matthew McConaughey (Dallas Buyer’s Club, The Wolf of Wall Street), Cate Blanchett (Blue Jasmine), and Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years A Slave) each graced a separate cover. And J-Law also got beautiful spread in the issue. It’s taken me a while to get used to her new haircut, but I really love the way it looks in these photos. But of all the magazine covers, I think Amy Adams has my favorite… LOL. Peep the gallery for more!
