Woot! Woot! I am a recent Jourdan Dunn convert, and I just can’t help but be excited for her right now. I remember a while back, I resisted her charms… mainly because someone I’d made babies with was, like, obsessed with her and it used to drive me cray. But finally one day he convinced me to watch her cooking show and I was like, Okay yes fine. She’s funny, and kinda quirky so yes. I support her movement. Dunn has been consistently turning out great work, and it’s paying off in some major ways. She just scored her first British Vogue cover, making her the first black model in TWELVE YEARS to grace the cover alone. Click inside for more!
"I thought I was going to die"
Last week we got our first look at Nicki Minaj‘s new Rolling Stone cover and today we learn what’s inside. Nicki gives one of her most personal interviews to RS this month, which you can read excerpted below. Nicki reveals why she has decided, as a celebrity, not to speak out about controversial issues (“Look what happened to Kanye when he spoke out. People told him to apologize to Bush!“) and she opens up a bit about the abortion she had as a teenager (“It was the hardest thing I’d ever gone through“). Instead of shocking us with her usually sexy image, Nicki is showing us a different side of her by giving us a look within. More »
"There are times when I feel as big and tall as Will!"
Actress Jada Pinkett-Smith is happy to show off her absolutely sick body on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Shape magazine. In her cover story interview, Jada talks about her motivation to keep in shape (it’s not just about looking good for her husband Will Smith) and she reveals a secret to her almost 20-year long happy marriage. But, really, the draw here is the photos … Jada looks absolutely flawless. I have to say, she is probably my favorite actor on the Fox TV series Gotham so I have a renewed love for the actress. Click below to see how great Jada looks on the cover and inside the new issue of Shape and try not to seethe with jealousy. More »

It's not what you think
Nicki Minaj is featured on the cover of the upcoming new issue of Rolling Stone magazine, scheduled for a January release, and as you can see below in this early look at the coverphoto, Nicki is stripped down to her bare essentials on the cover. That’s not to mean that she’s naked or anything. Her make-up is minimal, her hair is simple and so is the clothing she wearing. For this RS cover, Nicki isn’t wearing couture or high fashion, she is stripped down to just a plain white tank top t-shirt … which she wears very well. More »
“People don’t write songs anymore ... There’s nothing innovative.”
Oh man … Joni Mitchell has got some thangs to say about the state of the music industry today and the so-called artists making new music. In an interview with Vogue magazine, where Mitchell was asked about her new box set, Joni went OFF on the “talentless” musicians making music these days and even sounded offended when she was asked if she had influenced andy of today’s young musicians. To be honest, I don’t get the sense that Joni intended to share her opinions on today’s artists but the questions asked of her seemed to trigger her very blunt and honest response. Read on to learn what Joni Mitchell really thinks about today’s musicians. More »
"I'm good, I haven't slept in a week, but I'm good."

"The Next Style Breakout Star"
Musician FKA twigs is featured in the new issue of Vogue magazine, on newsstands now, in a special feature where she models statement earrings. Now, I’m not a big reader of fashion magazines but my assumption is that each month, mags find a hot fashionista to model accessories or trends of the moment. FKA twigs is a total It girl right now so it makes sense that Vogue would want to feature her in the mag. Have a look below at one of her Vogue photos, beautifully shot by Patrick Demarcelier, and see how well FKA twigs does as a fashion model. More »

Everyone's A Winner
Last night, the first-ever People Magazine Awards were handed out to deserving people as determined by People magazine. Because the world doesn’t have enough award shows, People magazine decided it needed to step in and offer yet another. I’m not exactly sure what the premise of the People Magazine Awards are other than some fairly good PR for the winners but you gotta love the mag for giving it a go … or not … I’m not sure. Categories at the People Magazine Awards include Style Icon, Hero of the Year, On Screen TV Couple of the Year and more. Click below to see the full list of winners at the inaugural People Magazine Awards and see if any of your fave celebs were honored last night. More »
Taylor Swift is rounding out her amazing year with yet one more magazine cover before she sets her sights on conquering 2015. Taylor is featured on the cover of the new issue of The Hollywood Reporter (which is dated the January 9, 2015 issue) dedicated to the Rule Breakers of 2014. Taylor is noted as a “Rule Breaker” for deciding to give up her Country Music career for a Pop Music career as well as for her decision to pull all of her music off of the Spotify online streaming music service because of how little artists are paid for their work. Click below to see Taylor‘s last magazine cover photo of 2014 (I think) and read excerpts from her cover story interview. More »
