They didn't make their $2 mil. back
At the start of this month, we got to see the photos from Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s wedding in the pages of People magazine. Today we learn that altho People paid $2 million dollars for the rights to publish the photos, they weren’t able to sell as many magazines as they hoped. When People bought and published the photos of the Brangelina twins when they were born, the sold gads of magazines. For the Brangelina wedding photos, tho? Not as many magazines were sold. Hmmm. Nessie votes Aye!
The cartoonist for The New Yorker responsible for the celebrity nude photos leak cartoon and the tribute to Joan Rivers cartoon has weighed in on the vote TODAY for Scottish independence. Right now, the people of Scotland are voting to decide whether they will remain a part of the United Kingdom or they will separate and become their own country. The clever cartoon below shows us how Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster, has decided to vote on the matter. More »
Dress by Badgley Mischka
Yesterday we got our first look at Lauren LC Conrad‘s wedding photos on the cover of this week’s issue of Us Weekly magazine and today we get to check out a photo of LC‘s dress in full. All of her wedding photos are featured in Us Weekly this week but I know some folks were wondering what her dress, designed by Badgley Mischka, looked like and you can see it in full below. The dress looked a bit different in the original design sketch but no question, it looked amazing on LC the bride. More »
Pop star Rihanna is featured in the new issue of the German magazine Tush and as you can see in the gallery presented here, she is lookin’ all kinds of fabulous in this spread. With her Storm from X-Men meets Game of Thrones Khaleesi warrior goddess look going on, Ri Ri once again takes the fashion photospread to a new level. This Tush spread reminds me of the photoshoot she did for W magazine last month, so clearly she is definitely feeling her warrior spirit oats this fashion magazine season. It’s always fun to see what Rihanna gets up to when a new photospread comes out. Whether you love the photos or not, you cannot dare call her spreads boring.

New -ly Weds on the Block
At the start of this week, we learned that New Kids on the Block singer Donnie Wahlberg and former daytime talk show co-host Jenny McCarthy got themselves hitched in a wedding ceremony that took place last weekend. Today, courtesy of Us Weekly magazine, we get our first look at the couple’s wedding photos. Jenny and Donnie struck a deal to debut their wedding photos in the pages of this week’s issue of Us Weekly and as you can see in the gallery presented here, the wedding looked like a lovely affair. Make sure you pick up this issue of Us Weekly to see the entire wedding album. I sincerely hope the couple are in it for the long haul because they surely looked very happy on their wedding day.
Earlier this week we saw a funny cartoon published in The New Yorker magazine that poked a bit of fun at the celebrity nude photos leak that happened last weekend. Today we get to see a new New Yorker cartoon that pays brilliant homage to the late Joan Rivers. Both cartoons were drawn by the same artist so chances are if you liked the earlier cartoon, you will probably like this cartoon as well. Even if you disliked the earlier one, I think you’ll get a kick and a little laugh out of this cartoon for Joan. More »
"North is a genius name."
For some inexplicable reason, Kanye West‘s wife has been named the Woman of the Year by British GQ magazine and in her cover story interview, she reveals the reason — at long last — that she and Kanye decided to name their only begotten child North West. After rumors started to go around that the couple were thinking about naming their daughter North (rumors that likely started out as jokes, I might add), Anna Wintour, the editor in chief of Vogue magazine, voiced her approval of the name and the couple made the decision to go with the name. Apparently, when Anna Wintour speaks … people listen … including Kanye West. More »
Proving that The New Yorker is the best magazine in publication right now, we get to check out the cartoon that was published on NewYorker.com yesterday that hilariously satirizes the celebrity nude photos leak that erupted online last weekend. As you can see below, the cartoon features Groot and Rocket Racoon from Guardians of the Galaxy lamenting the leaking of one of Groot‘s nude photos, presumably stolen from his iCloud storage account. It’s pretty funny and extremely timely, check it out. More »
Late last night, we got our first look at the first photos from Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s wedding on the cover of this week’s issue of People magazine and right now, we get to see a couple more photos from Brangelina‘s big day. People magazine purchased the exclusive rights to publish the photos here in the US and Hello! magazine published the rights internationally and have chosen two different photos for the cover of their magazine this week. As you may recall, we learned last night that Angelina‘s dress was decorated with drawings created by her six children … the Hello! magazine cover photo gives us a better look at those drawings … OH and our first look at Brangelina‘s first kiss as a married couple. 'The “Rebel” issue'
The last time Miley Cyrus covered V Magazine… OMG. I will never, ever get those images out of my head (mainly this one). Ever. She’s back at it, thought this year she is sans pink hair on the cover of this year’s “Rebel” issue. As far as the cover, I can’t tell if she has on more or less clothes. But she def stripped all the way down for part of the shoot. Click inside for more!
