A First Order officer of the Stormtroopers
Back in June we learned officially that both Lupita N’yongo and Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie were added to the cast of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Earlier today, we learned which role Lupita will be playing in the sequel film and we got our first look at the actress “in character”. Right now, we get some follow-up information from the Vanity Fair magazine spread on The Force Awakens that was unveiled today that reveals which role Gwendaline will play in TFA AND we get to see her in character. Remember that chrome-plated stormtrooper that we saw in the most recent trailer for The Force Awakens? That character is Captain Phasma, played by Gwendoline Christie. Meet her below. More »

Today is May 4th, Star Wars Day, and in honor of the occasion, Vanity Fair magazine has unveiled their June cover photo feature on the upcoming sequel film Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Photographer Annie Leibovitz was tasked by VF magazine to visit the set of The Force Awakens to take a series of stunning photographs of the cast and crew of the new Star Wars movie (photos which you can see in the gallery presented here). Now that we know that Netflix has picked up Marvel’s Daredevil for a second season, we learn from star Charlie Cox which Daredevil characters he would like see join the cast next season. Charlie mentions classic DD characters like Punisher, Black Widow and Bullseye … and, of course, Elektra. Charlie also dishes on when filming production for season 2 of DD will start, giving us a better sense of when we might expect Netflix to release the second season in 2016. Charlie makes clear that his comments are his personal thoughts and wishes because, at this stage of production, he has yet to be made privy to actual plans for the show. More »

People magazine releases its World’s Most Beautiful Woman issue this week and has declared that actress Sandra Bullock is the world’s most beautiful woman for 2015. Unlike the magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive issue that is released in the fall with much greater fanfare, the World’s Most Beautiful Woman issue is the magazine’s way of spreading the celebrity worship to the famous ladies. Time magazine has unveiled it’s annual Time 100 list of their chosen influencers and have revealed Kanye West, Hillary Clinton, Mindy Kalling, Chris Pratt and others for the honor. The full list of the Time 100 will be released on Friday, when this special issue hits newsstands, but you can click below to see some of the big names that made the list this year.
