First Listen: Selena Gomez Teams Up With A$AP Rocky For Her New Single ‘Good For You’

"I just wanna look good for you, good for you, uh-huh"

For a few weeks now, Selena Gomez has been hinting that she would be releasing a new single, just in time for the summer music season. Today we get our first listen of Selena‘s new single, Good For You, which features a guest rap performance by A$AP Rocky. The song is a slower jam, which is nice, but as always, I was hoping for a more upbeat, poppier dance track. The song is OK but I can’t say that I’m really feeling it. The lyrical content, which is meant to be a sweet love song for her man, does’t really jibe with me. Click below to have a listen, read the lyrics and see what you think of Selena and A$AP Rocky‘s new song Good For You. More »

First Listen: Mariah Carey Releases Her New Single ‘Infinity’

Back to the '90s
"I was your eternally / There's an end to infinity"

Over the weekend, we got to see the cover art for Mariah Carey‘s new single Infinity, the only new song included on her upcoming greatest hits album #1 to Infinity. At the stroke of midnight last night, Mimi released Infinity for download on iTunes and made the song available for listening online with the release of the lyric video embedded above. As you can see and hear, this song appears to be TOTALLY about her soon-to-be ex-husband Nick Cannon … and how he lost the greatest thing he ever had when he messed up his marriage with Mariah. The song is really, really good. It has a distinctly ’90s sound to it, which is where Mariah Carey is strongest. This song has a very good shot at becoming Mimi‘s next #1 song. Have a listen, see what you think.

Watch: Hilary Duff Releases A Lyric Video For ‘Sparks’

"Turn the lights down low / And kiss me in the dark"
"When you're touching me, baby"

After we got a tiny taste of the song back in March, Hilary Duff released the full audio for her infectious new single Sparks earlier this month. Today we get to see the just-released lyric video for Sparks and altho it’s not a particularly impressive lyric vid, I am so crazy about the song that I am happy to feature it again. Sparks has been one of my fave new songs since it was released a few weeks ago and it fits in nicely in my running playlist. I’m hoping that the music video for Sparks will be a bit more exciting than this lyric vid but even if not, I’ll still be desperately in lurve with the song nonetheless.

First Listen: Jennifer Lopez Has Released A New Song Titled ‘Feel The Light’

Lyric Video
From the animated film 'Home'

Remember the new Rihanna song that we heard a couple of days ago, titled Towards The Sun from the upcoming Dreamworks animated film Home? Well, it turns out that fellow pop star Jennifer Lopez also has a song on the Home motion picture soundtrack. J. Lo‘s song is titled Feel The Light and you can hear it in full in the lyric video embedded above. The song is pretty good and, as you can hear, J. Lo sings the Hell out of it. More Madonna Demo Songs Have Leaked Online, Including Her Long-Rumored Lady Gaga Diss Track

"You're a copycat, get back / I'm always on your mind"

Last August, lyrics from an alleged Madonna diss track titled Two Steps Behind Me about Lady Gaga were released online. Because no audio ever surfaced to corroborate the authenticity of the lyrics, the story kinda went nowhere … until yesterday. In the wake of an initial 13 leaked demo songs from the recording sessions for Madonna‘s as-yet unreleased album Rebel Heart and after another 17 unfinished demo songs were subsequently leaked, 3 more demo songs leaked yesterday … including the so-called Lady Gaga diss track Two Steps Behind Me. It turns out that the lyrics that were released in August were 100% correct (“You’re a copycat, Where is my royalty? You’re a pretty girl, I’ll give you that. But stealing my recipe, it’s an ugly look“). In response to the demo leak, Lady Gaga posted a nasty message on her official Instagram profile seemingly directed at Madonna even as Madonna and her manager Guy Oseary tried to convince us that the diss track isn’t directed at Gaga (yeah right). The leaking of Madonna‘s demos continues to get messier … and we are still more than 2 months away from the release of Madonna‘s album. OY! Click below to read what everyone involved in this new drama has to say about thangs. More »
