Academy Award winning actress Meryl Streep is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Vogue magazine. As you should be WELL aware, Meryl stars as Margaret Thatcher in the biopic film The Iron Lady which will, very likely, score her at least another Academy Award nomination and possibly another Oscar. For this Vogue feature, tho, the focus is not necessarily on the likelihood of her Oscar success … the feature is meant to highlight Meryl‘s ability to transform herself completely for her film roles. It’s been a week of ups and downs for Lindsay Lohan and Playboy magazine … ups for Lindsay because she is, once again, the center of attention … downs for Playboy because L. Lo‘s entire pictorial photospread leaked early to the Internets (and they stand to lose financially due to the leak). Trent Reznor will be releasing the soundtrack score to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo this Friday but he’s already thinking ahead to his next musical project … and according to Reznor, that next musical project will be a return to Nine Inch Nails. Altho NIN ended its live performance life back in 2009, TR always made it clear that NIN was not dead. In a new interview with BBC Radio, Reznor revealed that he plans on writing new music for Nine Inch Nails in the coming year. Back in October, E! News host Giuliana Rancic revealed on The Today Show that medical tests found the early stages of cancer in her body. At the time, she shared the personal decision to have the cancerous lumps removed from her body. Today, Giuliana and hubby Bill Rancic returned to The Today Show to give an update. Sadly, the lumpectomy failed to get all of the cancer out of her body and Giuliana made the brave decision to have a double mastectomy in order to ensure that her body is cancer-free. Back in October we got to read an interview that rock band Garbage did with Rolling Stone magazine about their upcoming, as-yet untitled, new album … which is due out next Spring. Altho the band still will not announce the album title, they do give us a few song titles (Blood for Poppies, I Hate Love, Automatic Systematic Habit) and share a bit of their writing process. Last month we learned the HAPPY news that the Showtime series Dexter has been renewed for another 2 seasons, ensuring that the series will exist for at least 8 seasons. BUT, today, we learn a bit of sad news … the next 2 seasons of the show may be the last. Showtime entertainment president David Nevins gave an interview to Entertainment Weekly magazine to talk about … the end of Dexter. According to Nevins, the final episodes of this season will set into motion the events that will unfold over the next 2 seasons of Dexter leading up to … the end of the series. More »

"I've already done the vampire thing."
In a new interview, Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress Michelle Trachtenberg reveals that once upon a time she could’ve nabbed the role of Bella Swan in the long-running Twilight film franchise. According to Trachtenberg, she has been friends with Catherine Hardwicke (the woman who directed the first Twilight film) for many years and were it not for their conflicting film schedules back in the day she could’ve scored the (very lucrative) role of Bella in the Twilight films.
