Janis and Mitch Winehouse, parents of the late Amy Winehouse who was found dead in her apartment in London yesterday, have both commented on the passing of their late daughter. Naturally, both Janis and Mitch were shocked and devastated by the news but … very sadly … Amy‘s mother had been expecting her daughter’s death for years. I cannot imagine the pain a parent must feel at the death of their child … but it sounds like Janis had resigned herself to the eventuality of Amy‘s death for some time now. More »

Torchwood: Miracle Day, the first season of the long-running British series produced and filmed in the US, is doing very well on the Starz network but back in the motherland of the UK, it’s hit a bit of a snag. BBC censors have determined that the same-sex love scene that involves Captain Jack Harkness (played by lead John Barrowman) and a male bartender is too racy for broadcast — so they have cut the scene from the upcoming episode. Barrowman has gone on the record to express his disappointment at the BBC‘s decision to censor the scene.
