Forming A New Religion
Complex Magazine is convinced that the artists of G.O.O.D. Music are set to take over the world and play savior to the rap/music Game entirely. Not that it necessarily needs saving, but they’re probably on to something; the guys are are pictured on a cross and the cover story is titled ‘New Religion‘ (a shout-out to some Kanye lyrics). Complex sat down with the key players of G.O.O.D. Music (Kanye excluded, as he is committed to his ‘no press’ policy) and talked about the genesis and revelations of their forthcoming compilation album, Cruel Summer. Check out

"It Would Be Lovely To See More Of Her"
We’ve got a big juicy discussion going on in the comments section of Trent‘s The Dark Knight Rises review about lots of the movie’s aspects, but especially Anne Hathaway‘s performance of Catwoman. Some of us loved her, some of us meh‘d her, and some of us said she’s best when not compared to Michelle Pfeiffer. Well, the lovely Ms. Hathaway sat down with Digital Spy and talked about her experience on the set of the summer’s most anticipated movie, and maybe… perhaps… hinted at a possible Catwoman spin-off. Don’t worry, she’d play the lead, not Halle (although, if you ask Trent, Halle wasn’t so bad). Check out the interview inside.
"I really have no shame, James"
Two of my favorite celebs are sharing the spotlight in a recent article in Interview Magazine– Mila Kunis and James Franco, co-stars of the forthcoming Oz, The Great And Powerful. Franco interviews the gorgeous actress (who’s accompanying photo shoot is to die for) and asks her about being a fearless woman of the ‘wood. Hollywood, that is. Checkie out inside!
"If you're 20 years old and you aspire to be like ... Kurt Cobain ... or Trent Reznor, you're not going to make it"
Billy Corgan, frontman and sole original member of Smashing Pumpkins, believes that it will be impossible for the next Trent Reznor or Kurt Cobain to find success in the music business as it exists today and, sadly, I think he is 100% correct. According to Corgan, the music biz is set up now where young artists have no chance of achieving long-lasting success because of the structure of the way music is marketed these days. Where young artists like Reznor, Cobain, Corgan, etc. were allowed to rebel and were given the time to flesh out their artistry, young artists today are forced to conform … and unless they find immediate success, they are discarded (and even immediate success can be fleeting). "I wished at 13 there was somebody ... who would have said something like that"
Just before the release of his debut album channel ORANGE, Frank Ocean posted a letter on his official website announcing to the world that he is a gay man. Today, we hear from Frank again about his coming out in a new interview with The Guardian. Despite the fact that some believe Ocean‘s coming out was timed to generate hype for his album, Frank makes clear that he decided to come out for his own “sanity”. Thoughtful and well-spoken as ever, Ocean candidly explains the reasons for his coming out … which you can read below. More »

We all remember Ton, AKA KKPalmer1000, who had us all in awe over his snuggie-fied Countdown video earlier in the week. Not long after we got our jaws off of the floor, the Queen Bey herself shared Ton‘s video on her website and Facebook page. On her website, she created a post simply titled “BRILLIANT” and wrote above the video: “I THINK HE DID THIS VIDEO BETTER THAN I DID :) LOVE B.” Beyoncé, we kind of have to agree with you on that one, lol. Check out Ton‘s reaction to the good news and good press inside.
"It was a big misunderstanding"
Yesterday we learned the surprising and somewhat disconcerting news that 72 year old actor Fred Willard was arrested on charges of lewd conduct inside an adult theater. Today we get to hear form Willard himself about the arrest … according to him, the incident that led to his arrest was a “big understanding” and that the whole situation is being “straightened out”. HMMM. Click below to watch video of Willard making his comments about his unfortunate bust. More »

So, this is awesome news! In an interview with Carson Daly, P!nk opened up about her personal and professional life, revealing interesting and intimate details about her baby girl and her upcoming album. When I got to the part about Lily Allen, I kind of lost it for a minute. I can’t even imagine what the two of them would come up with in a studio, but I guarantee it’s gonna be fun. Two cheeky, crazy talented new Moms known for inducing good times via good music and a healthy dose of bad ass quasi-bitchery? Yes, please.
Sorry 'Bout It
Last week we heard a rumor that Mariah Carey is in “serious talks” to join American Idol as a judge for the forthcoming season. Today we are hearing from Mimi‘s husband Nick Cannon about the possibility that his wife might join the ranks of American Idol.
